I found Amin by chance on Instagram - his profile is @wanasa_eg. He organises affordable and interesting day trip in Faiyum lake district in Egypt from the town of Tunis. He speaks and writes good English. He picked us up from the hotel, earlier he came the night before just to meet us and help us to get settled in the guesthouse and translate conversation with the staff who didn’t speak English. The trip key stages are: 1. Wadi El- Hitan - The valley of whales, 2. Crazy ride in 4x4 on the desert and sand boarding on the dunes 3. Watching the Magic Lake from the dunes 4. Wadi El-Rayan - local waterfalls connecting two lakes. 5. Driving to the first lake and the short trip in a rowing boat and beduin style tea at the lake shore. After the trip Amin helped us to find a nice restaurant with vegetarian food and a local bakery and fruit stand. All that (including the entry tickets to Wadis) cost us 160 USD total for 4 people - full day. I recommend Amin service to everyone willing to see the small town of Tunis, Wadi El-Hitan (the valley of whales) and Wadi El-Rayan (local waterfalls), try sandboarding and feel some adrenaline when driving in 4x4 on the dunes. A lovely couple of hours spent cruising on the Nile. Good food lots of choice. good entertainment. Staff were very welcoming.

Booked this experience as I've done similar in other countries, and it was an absolutely lovely event. Menna was our guide and very knowledgeable about Egyptian culture and history. Sarah was our cook, we were made to feel very welcome in her home and the Koshary she showed us the preparation for tasted delicious. Would definitely do something similar again.

This trip was fabulous from the time we were picked up at the hotel to when we were returned. All the people were super friendly and helpful. My friend and I have owned Arabians in Texas, so this was extra special for us. The horses we rode were well cared for and responsive.

I was fortunate to tour the GEM Museum with a wonderful guide Reham and driver Mustaff. Reham was an excellent guide. She was very friendly and had excellent knowledge of the museum. She took many beautiful pictures that will be treasured memories. Such an amazing complex that Egypt can be very proud of. Mustaff manoeuvred through the Cairo traffic extremely well. The airport is quite new and modern airport. Book your transfer direct with Uber or using other apps. Avoid taxis or other outside the airport as it was ver expensive. Negotiate before riding. Usually they will ask for 850 Egyptian pound or 40-50 sterling or dollars. The real ride costs is less than 350 Egyptian pound or £10 or maximum $20. Egyptians prefers Dollars and when they told you any price it is usually in Dollars; most of them unaware about other currencies even £ or €; do be carefully when you do the calculations and use dollars rather than your own currencies
