We debated about booking this trip because of safety concerns. I’m so glad we didn’t allow preconceived notions to keep us from this safari. It was amazing! Our guide, Omar, driver Islam, and driver/camp chef Mido treated our family to a trek into the desert. After about a 4 hour car ride from Cairo to Bahariya Oasis, we were served a traditional Egyptian lunch in a Bedouin restaurant. There, we transferred to a 4-wheel drive SUV, and the fun began. Our group made stops at the Black Desert for a hike, the Crystal mountain where we collected quartz-like rocks, the old White Desert for photos, and finally the New White Desert for sunset views and to set up camp. Mido and Omar jumped into action while we explored the otherworldly destination. Upon our return the campsite, we found tents and bedding set up for our family, and Mido was working hard on our dinner. After a delicious dinner of coal-grilled chicken, Egyptian rice, vegetable/pasta soup, and spicy vegetables, we enjoyed Bedouin mint tea around the fire. We all slept soundly in our tents under the full moon and awoke to a beautiful sunrise and breakfast with eggs, breads, spreads and coffee and tea. We hated to leave the quiet serenity of the White Desert. But Omar had a surprise for us. We stopped to enjoy a dip into a hot Sulphur springs. Delightful and a great way to rinse off the sand. We were safely delivered back to our hotel in Cairo with so many lovely memories of our time in the desert. I highly recommend this tour.

The highlight of our two days with Omar was his masterful and expert guidance through all aspects and sites in Cairo and Giza. Omar's knowledge of the history of the places he took us is matched only by his complete mastery of the layout of said sites. This doctoral-level knowledge of history and logistics made for an experience like none other and one I firmly believe possible from no other guide in Cairo/Giza. However, Omar's professionalism doesn't end there. He also arranged for a camel ride! He personally picked us up at our hotel and personally dropped us back off off each day when our day of sightseeing was complete. He helped us find specific restaurants, arrsnged for transportation across the city as needed, and checked on the success of each activity he'd set up for us if said activity was not directly under his control and supervision. In short, Omar anticipated our every need and met them all masterfully. He looked after myself and my family as if we were his own relatives. I can highly recommend this experience if you are time limited and want to experience the essence of Cairo. My son and I were met at the airport by Amar and his driver, the car was modern and clean and had aircon and wifi. Amar was extremely knowledgeable and described the history of the different areas of Cairo as we passed through them. We visited the Cairo museum where Amar explained the different dynasties and directed us to the key areas of the museum so that we had the best experience in the time available. The highlight for me was being able to view Tutankhamen’s treasures. After the museum we went for an amazing lunch. The restaurant served a variety of Egyptian food in small dishes which they were happy to replenish when asked. It was a great opportunity to try the local food and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. In the afternoon we visited the pyramids at Giza. Amar’s experience was evident as he guided us past all the queues and in through the entrance with minimal delay. He had used the time in the car to explain the structure of the pyramids and was willing to arrange for us to go inside had we wanted to. There were lots of photo opportunities with the pyramids and on the camel ride and Amar took some lovely photos of both of us. We completed our day with a relaxing felucca ride on the river Nile, experiencing panoramic views of the city from the river. We were then driven back to our hotel ready to catch our connection. Amar was extremely professional and I would definitely recommend this tour.

This tour and this guide have been recommended by a friend. Planning a tour to Giza with Amr was the best thing I could do! I liked so much the way the guide explained us everything, with passion and fun. After visiting the pyramids and the sfinge in Giza, including a camel tour, he brought me to visit the “Step Pyramid” and the tombs with hieroglyphs which was impressive; after we went to the museum of the old city in Memphis. So we had a delicious lunch in a restaurant with beef and chicken meat. I could recommend Amr as a guide to everyone wants to live a wonderful experience in Cairo.

Best experience in Egypt so far. Black desert, Crystal Mountain and White desert are a growing up of emotions. The sunset, the night sky with billions of stars and the colours of dawn will stay in my memories forever. It really worths the trip. Our guide has been super nice and kind, as well for the beduin driver. Me and my family had fun in the off-road ride and sand boarding. This was a wonderful experience I made with my family. We saw spectacular places.Everything was carefully planned by our guide. From Cairo through the black desert, the christal mountain, to the white desert. The sunset, the silence and the stars in the desert is something that everyone should experience.

This tour was very informative, and I was cared for so well. What I liked most about this tour was that being new to Egypt, and being unfamiliar with the setting, my tour guide made me feel protected, and I was not a victim of tourist traps at the pyramids, I learn more about the history of the pyramids, and also I was able to have plenty of time for some amazing photos, I highly recommend this tour for anyone coming to Cairo

We were short of time but we really wanted to visit the Museum of Egypt. We hired Amr and explained our situation of time. He took us to the museum and did a very good job showing and explaining the highlights of the different historical pieces. Then, he drove us back to the hotel with perfect timing! We really enjoyed the tour and we are thankful to him for this.
