An Incredible Time: Cairo and Nile Cruise Aswan to Luxor, Egypt Tour Package
Had the best of times with Go Luxor Tours! It was a wonderful and thrilling adventure, and I already miss all the fun. Mike was so caring incredibly communicative before and during the trip, and we would beat the crowds so often at each of the sites. Nader had so much information and insight to share everywhere we visited, including more details about remnants of an ancient seabed all around and the fossils embedded in the ground. This was my first visit to Egypt, and even then I feel like they guide you more in depth than usual. I was given the option to descend into the Khufu’s pyramid, but recommended a smaller one of I think queen Meritites. Am so glad for that because the little pyramid was hard enough, and was told the great one’s 10x more! Though I had to bring work on the way, it was absolutely wonderful to be on the Nile. Listening to nature, watching the sunset over the water, and pulling up to one of those plants that closes its leaves when you touch them. At Abu Simbel I also spent time photographing birds, spotted swallows and sparrows, and captured two feathered foes in a conflict. Even if Ramses II’s great battle probably didn’t happen, I witnessed one that day on top ancient walls and writings. Look up if you can at each place! As a solo female visitor the trip was made much easier, with incredible scheduling and great advice. Was very safe going about and it was an all-around enjoyable experience. I am already thinking about the next time right after coming home, they made it such a positive experience and really want to dive deeper and see more!

          Incredible Cairo and Luxor Experience!
Wow, our Egypt trip was made so special by Go Luxor Tours! Although we booked at the last minute, from start to finish everything went seamlessly. Upon meeting our guides, we immediately felt confident and taken care for. The pick up and drop off at our hotel was so convenient! Our guides handled everything - purchasing the tickets, navigating checkpoints, instructing us at the sites, etc. They were very trustworthy and we always felt like they were looking out for us. We started our adventure in Cairo by visiting Saqqara, Dashur, and Memphis. We had a tour of the Giza Pyramids the following day. Going inside of the pyramids was a truly epic experience! Francis was our guide and he was excellent. It is so evident that he is passionate about Ancient Egypt and loves to share about it. He is very personable and is incredibly knowledgeable! Next we headed to Luxor where we spent three days touring with Michael. Michael was extremely knowledgable and a great storyteller! We started off with King’s Valley, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and Memnon. Wow, these sites were amazing! It was so cool comparing them to what we had just seen in Cairo. The following days we saw Dashur, Luxor, Dendera, and Abydos Temples all of which were amazing in their own way. We also did a Felucca boat ride on the Nile which was incredible - truly an amazing experience sailing the Nile! One unexpected but amazing thing was both of our guides were really good about organizing us to take photos and setting up poses. They both were super creative with the photography which made it fun :) We are so grateful that we chose Go Luxor and highly recommend them!

Go Luxor Made our Trip Unforgettable
Without a doubt, Go Luxor made this trip absolutely perfect. We began researching our trip over a year in advance. We got the recommendation for Go Luxor online and we wanted to similarly pay it forward. The initial process was easy - Michael is very responsive 24/7 basically and works off Whatsapp. We built a comprehensive itinerary for a private guide and driver each day. We paid by bank wire which made us very nervous initially but we researched online this was normal practice, and everything was just fine. We meticulously planned everything with Michael - he was so patient with our questions and really made us feel very comfortable with the entire plan. We had Francis in Cairo and Michael in Awsan and Luxor. We booked ourselves to really do it all - we hit all the major temples, pyramids, and tombs and did a mega tour of Egypt's history. Go Luxor made this so easy. We were picked up from the airport, and our guide was with us from our hotel pickups in the morning until our drop offs at night. We got in depth explanations of hieroglyphics, detailed history on pharoahs and temples and the ancient religions, and time to explore on our own at the sites we picked. We were provided water and snacks daily, we had a few meals buffered in throughout our trip, and we enjoyed getting to know both of our guides and trying local food they enjoyed. Michael invited us to do a few stops at local stores, one which was a perfumery in Aswan which was really interesting and we smelled perfume recipes that were thousands of years old. Through our trip we added a few tours - camel and felucca rides, as well as doing a sound/light show at Karnak. The team handled this with ease and everything went fabulous. They took great photos for us and made sure we had the opportunity to interact with locals, take the photos and videos we wanted, and guided us on the tipping/cultural points we needed to know. Each day was a blast and we had fun getting to know them and can't recommend them enough to others. We hope to make it back to Egypt again, and when we do, we know who to call.

          Flawless Abu Simbel overnight transfer.
The communication with Go Luxor tours was easy and fun. Mike was very helpful with planning and had a lot of humour while assisting us from afar during our trip. The driver was always on time with a smile on his face, even in the early hours to take us to Abu Simbel temple. I would use Go Luxor Tours again in the future.

Great tour in Egypt with Go Louxor
We enjoyed an unforgettable family tour of Egypt with Go Luxor Tours, visiting Cairo, the Pyramids, Aswan, Abu Simbel, a Nile cruise, and Luxor. The entire experience was wonderfully organized, with friendly and professional guides (again big thanks to Nader and Mickael) who offered insightful explanations and created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to Go Luxor, our journey through Egypt was just great and truly exceptional.

          Great experience with Go Luxor!
From the initial contact, Mike was immediately responsive and provided excellent guidance on planning our trip. We had a short time in country and wanted to maximize the time and Mike made sure we did. The guides were excellent (Francis in Cairo and Mike in Luxor) providing information and background at every site. Mike also helped arrange a last minute sail on the Nile in Luxor. The driver was excellent, car was clean and they were always on time. Highly recommend Go Luxor for whatever you’re looking to do in Egypt!

          Top Quality Private Tours
Mike and his team were wonderful to work with when planning our custom 2 week private tour of Egypt. He contacted me via WhatsApp immediately after I requested info and he remained very communicative throughout the planning process and the whole trip. Go Luxor Tours provided drivers and very comfortable, air conditioned vans throughout our stay. We had fabulous guides in Cairo (Francis) and Aswan/Luxor (Mike) and really enjoyed finishing the trip with some days at a beach resort in Hurghada. Go Luxor planned quality souvenir stops that allowed us to enjoy some A/C before the next outdoor activity. We especially loved how our guides knew all the best spots to help us get great photos at every site! Using Go Luxor Tours made the trip seamless, enjoyable, and relaxing - we'd definitely recommend them to anyone visiting Egypt!

          Absolutely Worth It!
We came across Go Luxor Tours on a travel blog and decided to try it as planning the trip on our own was becoming too hectic. Mike was our main point of contact and communicated with us for weeks on What's App. He was very prompt with his communication and answered any questions we had. We were able to send him a rough idea of what we were looking for and he put together an itinerary for us. It included airport & hotel pickups, various historical sites (with a guide), shopping, a Nile boat ride, a hot air balloon excursion (this is a must!), and travel accommodations to each city. It was VERY customizable and ultimately ensured we got to do everything we wanted. We ended up doing two weeks, starting in Cairo, a flight to Aswan, then a drive to Luxor, and ended in the resort town of Hurghada before flying back to Cairo, then home. All of the tours, entry fees, excursions (some meals), and inter-country travel were included in our tour fee. The only things we booked on our own, were our hotels and the flights to and from Egypt. It was 100% worth it as Egypt can be a hard country to navigate on your own. Having a designated tour guide and driver every day made everything so much easier. We also had plenty of free time each day to go out and explore on our own if we wanted to, and our guides gave us great restaurant suggestions and shopping tips for these times. All-in-all if you want to do everything Egypt has to offer but don't know where to start, try Go Luxor Tours!

Excellent tours of the ancient sites with painless logistics
Go Luxor Tours was recommended to me on a frequent traveler group. I sent a contact email and received a prompt reply from Mike. After a couple of emails to tailor my experience to what we wanted, we accepted the proposal and booked several days worth of tours in Cairo, Luxor and a private transfer to Hurghada in addition to all the airport transfers. As the day approached Mike contacted me to confirm the details and was in contact when we landed at Cairo at close to 3AM. Our tour guide Mario and driver Paul were waiting for us and took us to our hotel. The next tow days we visited the Egyptian Museum, a bazaar, Giza pyramids and Saqqara pyramid. Mario was knowledgeable and fun to spend the days with. In Luxor, Mike picked us up and we went straight to the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and an evening boat ride on the Nile. The following day we toured Karnak and Luxor Temples with Mike then were driven in a private vehicle to a few days in Hurghada. The airport transfers were perfect and less expensive than coordinating with the hotel(s). Overall, I would highly recommend them for not only the tours, but all logistics while being in Egypt. As an American that has travelled to several countries, Egypt, by far, would have been the most overwhelming to try and navigate alone.

          Memorable experience!
Our trip was very well organized by Michael and his colleagues. Michael was the point of contact for us throughout the trip. He was very helpful and responsive. Since this was our first time to Egypt, we had lots of questions. Michael helped us with the process and planned our trip really well. We requested a custom itinerary outside of their standard packages as our trip was for 10 days. We did Giza (Pyramids), Aswan & Luxor (lots of beautiful temples) and Hurghada (only drive from the airport to the hotel was included in Michael's package). Overall, we had a great experience and lots of great memories.

The guide Francis and the driver Sadic (not sure about spelling) met us in airport hotel (Le Meridian) to provide exceptional service during our so short one day stay in Cairo. I intended to have a quick overview of the Pyramids during our stopover, and it worked perfectly. The team worked non-stop to satisfy our needs, including what was initially planned and whatever came during the trip. Francis is a knowledgeable guide with huge expertise in delivering the info accordingly clients expectations. The driving was relaxed and safe in crazy chaos of Cairo traffic. Everything was perfect. I have to say that I had an amazing time in Egypt with the best tour guides in all of Egypt. Francis & Mike were outstanding, and very knowledgeable in the history of Egypt. Francis showed me all around Cairo. We covered a lot of territory in a short amount of time. I saw the Giza Pyramids, Sakkara, Dahshour & Memphis pyramids. Also, we managed to squeeze in The Egyptian museum tour, and a couple of amazing lunch stops on our tour days. I am still in awe of the beauty and history that I witnessed in person in Cairo. After 3 days of being in Cairo I made my way to Aswan where I was greeted by the amazing Mike. I arrived late evening, and was greeted at the airport by Mike who transferred me to my hotel at Movenpick where I stayed during my time in Aswan. It was late that evening. Once I checked in Mike went over our itinerary for the next day which would be a drive out to see Abu Simbel Temple. We departed Aswan at 5am on a 4 hour drive to Abu Simbel, which is very close to the Border of Sudan. The round trip of 8 hours were worth every bit of it to see Abu Simbel. I felt like I was in a time warp witnessing it’s spectacular beauty. I was pinching myself to make sure I was witnessing the moment. My second day in Aswan was spent take a ferry along the Nile and stopped off to visit the Nubian Village. It was another great opportunity to immerse myself in the history and culture of the Nubians. Once we were done we took the ferry back to the hotel and transferred over to a car and driven to visit Philae Temple. Another hidden treasure. Still in awe with my jaw dropped viewing this beautiful temple. From there I visited an aromatherapy factory and a spice shop where I was able to witness the history behind making each essential oil, and the history spices. Before I knew it Mike & I were on a train to Luxor that at the end of the day. We arrived in Luxor that evening and I checked into my hotel for dinner and a good nights rest. Mike met me the next morning at 8:30am, and I spent the day that I had in Luxor

For anyone not wanting to read the entire review, here is a summary. AMAZING, BREATHTAKING and just WOW!!! If you are considering going to Egypt, reach out to GO LUXOR TOURS and you will have the TRIP OF A LIFETIME!!!!

We wanted to do something special for our daughter’s high school graduation that would create memories rather than gifts, so we let her pick any place she wanted to go for a family vacation. She chose Egypt after taking a world history class her senior year. It was easy to say yes to it as I have always wanted to see Egypt since I was a kid. Deep down I always wanted to be an archeologist :). So I started looking into what it would take to travel to Egypt and our options. I have traveled to around a dozen countries across Asia, Europe, South America, Central America plus numerous Caribbean islands, so I feel pretty comfortable traveling most places. For the most part when we travel, we plan things out on our own, rent air B&B’s and are adventurous. After a few days on the internet I quickly realized that Egypt is probably not a place where I would want to try traveling on my own with the family. This was a trip of a lifetime and I wanted to ensure my family had the best experience possible, learned as much about the history of Egypt as possible and most importantly had fun. I started off by watching lots of YouTube videos of people traveling to Egypt and visiting the sites to get a feel for what it would be like. if you go watch any YouTube videos of visiting Egypt you will see there is a lot of haggling at the sites with vendors wanting to sell you stuff, guards wanting tip money to show you things at the sites, people trying to get you to go to bazars, having to pay to use the bathroom and negotiating for most things. The one thing you may not notice is most of the YouTube videos you find are people traveling on their own without a knowledgeable guide. My first recommendation is don’t let the YouTube videos scare you away, go book Go Luxor Tours and you will have the most amazing vacation you could ever dream of. Don’t for a second be worried about being haggled for everything. Just ignore anyone trying to offer you items if you aren’t interested and worst case, your guide will help get rid of anyone bothering you :). My wife and 15 year old daughter were a little hesitant about traveling to Egypt after watching the YouTube videos as they really don’t like dealing with haggling for things. I thoroughly enough haggling for things, so it didn’t worry me….but I wanted to make sure my family had an amazing time too. This is one of the most valuable parts of having a guide from Go Luxor Tours. When you are traveling with a guide from Go Luxor Tours, they will help you with everything from advising you how much you should pay for bathrooms, how much to tip a guard to show you something special and most importantly help if someone won’t stop trying to sell you items. I really can’t iterate enough how helpful and valuable the guides were at Go Luxor Tours. We left Egypt with the entire family absolutely loving it and wanting to go back again. This is truly thanks to our guides at Go Luxor Tours as they made this trip perfect for us.

When we decided on going to Egypt and finished watching countless YouTube videos, I immediately started to look for tour groups that we could use so we could have an Egyptologist that knows the sites inside/out teach us the history of each site, help us learn the local culture and help if the haggling was too extreme. One of the big problems I originally ran into was we are a family of 5 with 3 kids aging 18, 15 and 7. Most of the big tour companies would not allow a 7 year old, so that left me to do more searching. I received a couple of recommendations for private tour companies from people who had been to Egypt in the past. I read through their trip reports, read reviews of the tour companies and reached out to both. Go Luxor Tours responded nearly immediately and connected with me through WhatsApp. I was connected with Michael and he quickly replied to all of my questions. He was so personable through chat, helpful and fast. I quickly decided this was the right guide company for our family to go with and let me tell you…….this was by far the best decision I have ever made for any vacation. I continued chatting with Michael for a few days and he was extremely responsive and would reply within minutes regardless of how late it was in Egypt. He asked details about what we wanted to see and provided recommendations on what else we should add to the itinerary. Michael took into account the ages of our kids and planned the most amazing itinerary we could ask for. We locked down the details of the trip and next step was to wire a small deposit for the trip. I don’t know about you, but wiring money to someone you don’t know and is international was a bit nerve wrecking at first. All of the vacations we have done to date I have always put on a deposit on a credit card with little risk, so this was our first time having to pay deposits in cash for a trip. One thing you will learn is a lot of things are still cash only in Egypt……its quite a difference from the US. I kept thinking what happens if we show up at the airport in Cairo and no one is there :). Let me tell you….do not be worried. Michael and Go Luxor Tours are some of the most respectable and trust worthy people I have ever met. I would not have any hesitations doing it again.

Our planned trip consisted of arriving in Cairo, having a day of rest and then spending 2 days seeing Sakkara, Dahshur Pyramids, Memphis, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum. We would then fly to Aswan and spend 3 days seeing Philae Temple, Nubian Village, Abu Simbel Temple, Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples. After that we would drive to Luxor to spend 3 days seeing Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, Habu Temple, Valley of the Nobles, Valley of the Workers Karnak and Luxor Temples. Once we finished touring we had a private transfer to Hurghada to spend 5 days relaxing on the beach. It was a total of 2 weeks we were spending in Egypt. Our entire trip included private vans and a private guide on all days touring. One of the best parts is the entire trip is designed around what you want to see and do. You can spend as little or as much time at any of the sites and are not being rushed.

Michael frequently checked in with us during the 8 months leading up to the trip. We had planned the trip back in Nov 2022 for a June 2023 trip. On our day of departure Michael checked in with us to ensure our flight leaving the US was on time and confirmed again that our guide Francis would be waiting at the airport for us. Our flight arrived just after 5am local time, so it was early. We exited the arrivals hall just like he said and found Francis waiting for us with our name on a sign. This trip was already off to an amazing start……my first worry of will anyone be there to pick us up was a needless worry :).

Our guide in Cairo was Francis and he was simply AMAZING!!! His historical knowledge was not only exceptional, but the way he shared it to keep everyone engaged including our 7 year old was unreal. He would even take the time to point out the seashells and fossils in the stone paths and rocks to our 7 year old who was fascinated with it. They would race between the sites and just had so much fun. One of our biggest worries was that it might be tough keeping the attention of a 7 year old, but he had just as much fun as everyone else thanks to our guides. Francis did an exceptional job planning out our day and timing our arrival at the sites to avoid the large crowds. Everywhere we went it seemed like we would always arrive when a big group was leaving or we would leave just as a big group was showing up. We had some of the sites almost to ourselves. During just a short 3 days in Cairo, it felt like Francis was part of our family. I never dreamed we would have a guide who would blend so well with our family and that the kids would miss leaving.

We then traveled to Aswan where Michael picked us up. I joked with him that he had big shoes to fill after we had such an amazing time with Francis in Cairo. Let me tell you, Michael did not disappoint. He was also AMAZING and had so much knowledge to share. I am just blown away by how great both Francis and Michael were. Not only were they amazing guides, but they are great people. You feel like you have known them forever after just a short time with them. We spent 5 days touring Aswan and Luxor with Michael seeing so many great sights. Michael did a fantastic job planning out the timing of seeing sites. We always arrived before/after a large group, so most sites were very empty. They know the schedules of other tour operators so well and can plan around them. Michael also did so well with our kids and kept our 7 year old entertained and engaged the entire time. Michael fit right in with our family and we would all joke and just have fun. Our kids and all of us had so much fun with Michael. It seriously was like he was part of our family on the trip. He fit in so well and helped us not only learn about the history, but to have fun while doing it.

I tried to pay attention to how some of the other larger tour groups did things at the sites and I am beyond thankful that we chose Go Luxor Tours. We had a completely personal experience that led this to be the best vacation we have ever taken. If we had chosen a large tour group or tried to do this trip on our own, we would not have had anywhere close to as great of a trip. I can honestly say that our trip was made amazing thanks to Michael and Francis. If you are considering going to Egypt, do yourself a favor and reach out to Go Luxor Tours. My entire family loved the trip and talks about Michael and Francis all of the time. They made such an impression on our kids that will last a lifetime. We all left Egypt wanting to come back again and this was all thanks to Michael and Francis with the experience they gave us.

Thank you Go Luxor Tours for helping us make this truly a trip of a lifetime!!!!

Outstanding, Amazing, Unforgettable, Exciting .... We, me and my wife, arrived back home in Austria a week ago from a 3 weeks trip, travelling throughout Egypt. The whole thing started actually long ago, back in beginning
December 2019, when I first contacted Michael
to start planning the whole trip. I decided to do it with GoLuxorTours after reading many

unbiased reviews on Internet and how the
travellers were satisfied with the level of
        performance and professionalism that Michael
offer to his clients. In this meantime we had
kilometres of conversation on WhatsApp, on
what, when and how would be the best to do.
Due to Covid and therefore lockdown in Tirol (in
the whole world actually), plans for travel
abroad were temporarily cancelled, but Michael
kept my deposit intact and available, if in the
near future we could be able to make it.
Itinerary was changed many times, because me
or he came up with a new idea or place to visit
(thanks for your patience), but finally it was set up when I called him and said "hey man, nothing else matters, we're coming"... I transferred money to him, for buying domestic flights from Cairo to Luxor and from Hurghada to Cairo, he got even a better deal, not to mention he made us a modest price for the whole travel program, including all tickets, transfers, and much more. He arranged everything in such a way that nothing, absolutely nothing went but smoothly and very, very comfortable, no stress at all... When we first arrived in Cairo, there was a driver waiting for us at the airport, together with our lovely and very knowledgeable guide Francis (big hugs my friend🤗) to bring us to our first hotel in Giza, in front of the Sphynx and discuss our pick up times for the next day trip to the Pyramids, Sphynx and the Egyptian Museum, and he came in the exact time we had combined, and we had lunch at a floating restaurant on the Nile, good food. Next day we headed to Saqqara, Dahshur and Memphis, went inside the Red Pyramid, and had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant quite close to Imhotep Museum, in the middle of a dates plantation, next to it a tapestry factory, where I got a beautiful hand-made tapestry. On the next day we visited the NMEC, we saw the mummies and a lot of amazing objects from different times of the Egyptian history and flown to Luxor, where Michael was waiting for us at the airport and drove us to our resort on a private island at the Nile, Jolie Ville, a place with the foremost exuberant nature, and from our bungalow we could enjoy the Nile flowing few meters away and the stunning scenery of the
West Bank mountain, to where we headed next day to visit Valley of the Kings, and so many tombs as was possible, including Seti I and Tutankhamun because Michael got us a Luxor Pass for a very affordable price and with it we could visit Valley of the Queens, Nefertari, Hatshepsut, Valley of the Nobles, Valley of the Workers, Karnak and Luxor temples, Mummification and Luxor museums, we have even been able to go a second time to Nefertari tomb. Next day we drove some hours to arrive at Abydos temple and on the way back to Dendera temple. Next five days we sailed the Nile on board of a Dahabiya, pretty much like English lords had sailed 100 years ago, and we visited lots of local life and villages and temples on the way, one must experience it. Arriving in Aswan, we did stay at the Old Cataract Hotel and its amazing view and historic premises, and Michael picked up us next day with a driver and a comfy car with AC, then we drove to Abu Simbel and later on the day with a motor boat through the old rapids to a Nubian Village, with its beautiful people,
brilliant colorful houses, we held a small Nile crocodile in our hands!!! On the day after we enjoyed the hotel a bit to chill out and later we travelled back to Luxor by train, together with Michael, he dropped off us at our hotel and arranged the same driver to bring us to Hurghada next day, where we spent the last
week of our holidays at the Desert Rose resort, also an indication from Michael, he even went further to contact the manager and we had a VIP treatment... During the whole trip, Go Luxor Tours had made all efforts to fulfill every wish or need we had, even going out of their way to make it. Not to mention Michael and Francis complied the whole time with Covid protection measures, even if I said they didn't need to be so strict about. To make a long and unforgettable story short, you, that's reading this review right now, make sure that you make your trip to Egypt, full program or a single tour with Michael and Go Luxor Tours...You'll get the
best guides, good prices and no hassle. They will provide you with all tips you need about dressing, tipping, money exchanging, and whatsoever... Thanks for every little part of this trip, Michael, I am sure it would not be the same If we didn't made it with Go
Luxor Tours, now we have life-long lasting memories (and hope you're enjoying your Tiroler whiskey, hahaha)... Rimon

Would highly rate this company. Did a 1 day tour of the pyramids and Cairo in late December on a long layover.

I was initially hesitant to visit Egypt traveling with young children, but Go Luxor had very good reviews and Michael was super helpful in arranging a custom private tour and taking care of all the details before and during the tour.

Logistics were seamless and we really enjoyed seeing many sights, riding camels and visiting local markets in the city.

Maged was an amazing tour guide that was very friendly and organized and had extensive knowledge about all of the places we visited.

        Would highly recommend without hesitation

So this is my second review for this company, please see my first one about trip to Alexandria; which was amazing! I requested to have Francis as my tour guide for this tour as well. Francis... where to begin! He is passionate, knowledgeable, genuine, kind, humble... the list goes on! I am so grateful to have crossed paths with Francis and be my guide, as he made my trip to Egypt the most wonderful & memorable experience! I mentioned to Francis I was in Egypt for my birthday on my previous tour and when he picked me up for this tour ‘Memphis, Saqqara and the pyramids of Giza’ - he had a gift for me! I was so touched! This is someone who goes above and beyond and loves his job and connecting with people. I will definitely go back to Egypt... so much to see! And when I do... you know who I’m requesting... Francis!!! :)
