          Unique Library
The library has an impressive collection of books and variety of activities over eleven gradual floors. It’s architecture is striking with the main room located beneath a high glass panelled roof. There are facilities for the blind and impaired and the multimedia section was impressive. Munir D.

          Alexandria Library and Pompey's Pillar
The Library was an interesting stop to see the building and layout etc. The start was not great with a rude ticket man saying cash only cash when clearly they took card but quicker not to. It's not expensive 60 or 80 LE£ each but if possible I like to pay by card keeping my notes free. Pompey's pillar is interesting but if you've you been to the other Egyption sites first you'll probably think " oh is that it" 🤔 A good visit to tick off a list but not amazing.

          Worst “Egyptologist” ever
My husband and I had 2 free days before starting a Nile cruise from Louxor. We went to the travel agency to see if they had any tour for Giza. (Giza, Saqqara and Memphis) we also booked a dinner show for the same night and they even proposed us to cancel our cruise to take it with them (around 200 usd cheaper per person than what we paid)… hopefully we didn’t take it! Finally the day to visit the pyramids arrived! We were so exited!… on the road we stopped and a woman jumped in the car (she was our “guide”). She barely spoke English, she made a brief introduction about the pyramids and after she said “the place is very big so how do you want to visit: by camel or horse”. (Well, at this point we thought we were going to walk). We answered by camel… WRONG! In the ticket line she was pushing people in front of us for they move faster, from this moment we started to feel uncomfortable, then she asked us money to pay the parking, I was looking into my wallet for a bill and she just took another one from my hand! We walked like 100 m. From the entrance and she let us with the first camel guy:”it’s 45 usd per person for the long trip, you will have the panoramic pictures and it will be more than 1 hour”. At this point I asked again “but why we can’t just walk?, there’s people walking”; she answered “they only walk to go inside the pyramid but as you are not doing it you can’t walk”… I thought… maybe she’s just lazy to walk with us. From 1 hour ride or more it took only 20 minutes, it was ok for us because we didn’t feel comfortable about how animals are treated. Then, the guy started to asked for a tip (my husband gave 150 Egyptian pounds) and the guy just continued complaining… so I told him we just paid you 1800 pounds for a 20 minutes ride and you are complaining about the tip?… well we didn’t know the “guide” kept the money for herself and of course what the guy received was not even the half of what we paid. At this moment she said “ok, now we are going to Saqqara”… we asked to stay more time because we didn’t see anything so she agreed to stay 10 more minutes. At this point We started to be disappointed, we felt robed, we didn’t enjoy any moment of this visit and she started to push us to go. We jumped into the car (it was parked just beside us and we couldn’t visit while the car was waiting???) Then, we passed by the sphinx, she said we could stop to take photos, we knew we could go inside but she didn’t want us to go, she just continued pushing us to leave. In our way to Saqqara, we stopped in a papyrus and perfume stores… she pushed us out of the pyramids for that!? We asked to stop in an ATM because we were running out of cash, and our card didn’t work in that ATM (we have a French account, and now we know our cards doesn’t work in the MISR atm’s). At this point the lady started to scream to us like: “its really important you have money with you! How can you come to make a tour without cash!!”… well the problem was that we didn’t plan to take a camel tour of 2000 pounds. In Saqqara, same story: no explanation and 10 minutes to visit. We saw the other tour guides explaining very interesting things and walking with their clients. Back with her she said “we can’t go to Memphis because they don’t take credit cards and there’s no ATM on the way”… Since we were not making the last visit we could spent more time in Saqqara, I asked her about the museum and she said it was closed, she said we couldn’t do anything else because they didn’t take any credit card. We asked to go back to the hotel, suddenly she said we could stop in our way to Memphis in another ATM, maybe she realized we wouldn’t tip her if we didn’t have cash, of course we refused… we didn’t want to spend any more time with her. Guys in the travel agency were nice and helpful, it’s a shame that the people with who they work doesn’t share the same values.

          The best tour organizer
If I say thanks to Mohammed Thabet it would not be enough for how he arranged our dream tour in egypt. It was not possible to enjoy that much without this guy. I think he knows magic. He solved each and every problem of us. Actually he didn't left anything to face any kind of bad situation. He is very organized and punctual. He covered every spot with a very qualified english spoken guide who was also very friendly. He is more than just a friend. I think the most honest and selfless person in egypt. He took us to the best dinner cruise, helped us to make our shopping easy (though it wasn't his job), gave us the best comfortable transportation everywhere, booked the best cruise of nile river in aswan, made our sightseeing memorable, ensured our room with a beautiful seaview in alexandria, served the best food for us, gave us the best resort in giza, and the most precious thing he gave is a good friend forever in egypt. I just love him a lot....❤❤❤ Many many best wishes for him, may almighty take him to the highest of success in his life.

Must do when you're in Cairo!
The Nile Cruise Dinner was very lovely, they arrived on time to pick us up from the hotel and our guide Sayed stayed with us during the night. He was very fun and helpful, which really added to our experience. I did expect a nicer boat, but the Peking boat was nice enough, food was very good and fresh. We had Egyptian Rum, which was very good too and it was nice to be able to drink as most other places in Cairo don't serve alcohol. The bellydancer was fun, we did some dancing with her. The folklore dancing was impressive too. The boat went by so slow that we couldn't even tell we were moving, the views were very nice on the water. Overall, we are very happy we were able to experience this. Thanks so much to Sayed for his lovely company and Mohammed for arranging everything!

Alexandria library is a peace of art, house of science and many activities. Citadel of qaitbay is great, you can spend hours watching the sea and Alexandria from it's Windows with the smell of history

I could not wish for more.My guide Mohamed Osama was the best guide anyone could wish for.I had not met yet more kind, more passionate guide as this young boy was.Have to mention our professional driver too as traffic in Cairo is.....speechless!!!!! So ,thank You so so much for unforgettable and flawless time!!You made my last tour and last day in Egypt a highlight. So my tour to Islamic/Coptic Cairo and we went to Cairo museum too.To be honest,i did not expect Citadel to be more beautiful as Blue Mosque in Istanbul. But this architect had no limits,he made Citadel much more breathtaking.Just breathtaking.I can not explain this feeling inside my chest when i got inside, everyone must experience it personally.Citadel is outstanding art of Islamic world. After we went to see more mosques which took my breath away in all aspects too. What an art...what a scale,a massiveness...Just impossible to realise how great they looked back then hundreds of years ago when there were not big buildings around...Hypnotising.I am so blessed to see this greatness today, trying to go back to that ancient time, feel it,explore it and touch it.
We went to Coptic part, had my coffee near by at local coffee shop as needed to clear my overwhelmed head. Entered all Coptic Churches from the list and once again i was stunned. There were too much hypnosis in 1 day.I would advise tourists to do 1 full day Islamic Cairo and 1 full day Coptic Cairo+Museum. It is just too beautiful to miss something!!!So after Coptic part by my choice instead of Bazaar we went to Museum.Yes,of course i had too little time.Need all day to explore everything as it is massive+queue to get tickets will take you at least 1-1.5 hours..So we went to see only highlights i chose.
Happy, very very happy. So,my dear guide Mohamed Osama,Thank You so so much for guiding me,such a privilege to chat with you and a chance to know you. I was the luckiest woman in all the world that day.And Thank You Egypt for being and letting us to explore inside You.best wishes for Rawahel Travel from Ireland and have a lovely New 2019 Year!!
