- Journey57277600Great experience! Our tour guide Marwa, who is an Egyptologist, made the tour very memorable. She had a lot of knowledge to share, and took us on an unforgettable journey. Would definitely recommend.
- Renato P00Excelent service and very reliable company.Excelent service and very reliable company. We did a six days tour in Egypt, including a cruise in the Nile. Everything was according with the agreed schedule. Mr. Walid Sobeih is a great guide and excelent person who took care of us all the time. Mr Mohamed a great egyptologist and Mrs Mari were great guides as well. We do reccomend this company. Many thanks!
- Kirstin M00Egypt with expertsMy sister and I highly recommend Look At Egypt Tours. The primary reason we chose this company was because we wanted guides highly knowledgeable about ancient Egypt. Our guide, Fayed, did not disappoint. His expertise was impressive and we soaked up as much as we could. I also appreciated Fayed’s kindness. He is a true gentleman. Mahmoud handled every detail of transportation and accommodation. He greeted us at the airport and checked on us via WhatsApp throughout the trip. He is exceptional at his job and made sure our expectations were exceeded. Abduo was our driver for several days. He and the other drivers made sure we were safe. They are pros! Every staff member was friendly and a pleasure to travel with. Our trip to Egypt with Look At Egypt Tours was an outstanding experience! Shukran my new friends!
- jacep1600012 Day Egypt Romantic Vacation - Nile & the Red SeaLook at Egypt Tours made our experience amazing. In Aswan, our Egyptologist Mohamed Farrag was perfect! He is very knowledgable and made our experience wonderful. In Cairo, Mahmoud Hefny met us at the airport and assisted us with anything we needed. Our driver Ahmed made us feel safe the whole time! I highly recommend this company. I'd recommend waiting to buy stuff until you get to the alabaster shop by Valley of the Kings. It's authentic alabaster and all handmade. The only part of the trip that I would change is the hotel we stayed in Aswan, the Basma. I wouldn't skip on visiting Abu Simbel Temple because it was really cool. We had to drive three hours from Aswan to get there but it was worth it! The Conrad Cairo was great and the Kahila Boat for the nile Cruise was also great. The Desert Rose Hotel in Hurghada was fantastic. For every destination in Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor we were driven from the hotel by a private driver and air conditioned vehicle.
- Kkev00Great introductory tour to Egypt and the Red seaVery well organized Egypt tour with Look at Egypt tours based in Cairo. We chose them because of great review onTripadvisor and very competitive good price. This is mainly a semi-private tour ( small group of 3-4 couples ) according to our date and what we want to see. Every communication was easily done by email and later via whatsapp. They answer fast to all your inquiry and questions. After we give them what we wish to see and do , Ahmed, the CEO of the company proposes a plan . They organize everything from A to Z with great 5 stars hotel , 5 stars 3 night cruise and all the local flights the entry tickets for every sites and museum. All the local flights We always have a guide and a driver to every historic sites and transfer. The guides are very good and helpful. From the 1st day at Cairo Airport, where Mahmoud greets you inside the airport BEFORE the customs exit. And miraculously, while there were very long waiting lines to pass through the custom agents, Mahmoud makes us pass the customs without any waiting !! And he charges our phone with egyptian SIM card himself. It was a very good thing to have a master guide such as Walid who was the coordonator of all trip . He takes care of you from the first to the last day. After, everything went on smoothly exactly as planned. We had great guides such as Dahlia for the Cairo and pyramids portion, Mu for AbuSimbel and Nile Cruise . They are with you for every transfer by minivan, to airport and to hotels and cruise. The last segment of 4 night in All inclusive Hilton at Hurghada beach in the Red Sea was pure relaxation without any sightseeing ( as we requested) . We truly enjoy our trip with this Cie.
- paulagB889FE00Highly recommended Agency and TourWe did this tour in september 2023 and it was great from beginning to the end. Everything was super well organized and we felt in good hands the whole time. All the guides are experts in egyptian history and thaught us a lot about the country. Expecially Mohammed (Mo) our guide during the nile cruise part was the best we could imagine, funny, organized and an expert in the field. We learned a lot from him. The agency keeps the groups small which we like a lot. The agency takes care of everything and tells you what to avoid in public. The cars were modern and suitable for drinving long distances in that heat. The hotels which the agency chooses a for their clients are also worth the money. All in all great experience and highly recommended.
- Souvik D0010 days trip to EgyptMy travel consultant from Look at Egypt Tour is Mr. Walid Sobeih. He and his team had made fantastic arrangements for the tour, travel, stays (be it in the hotel or Nile Cruise etc.). They have made our tour very comfortable and enjoyable at every stage. Additionally, we were fortunate enough to get great Egyptologists as our guide, who made our trip really like a “living history” experience. Egypt is our top rated travel place due to our interest in archaeology and we are so far very happy to whatever we have seen and heard about the places and it’s associated history. I would like to thank Look at Egypt Tour for arranging such a nice tour for us and we would like to come back again. Keep up the great work!
- Trail0279643269200Amazing!👏Look at Egypt tours has the best staff. Our guide Mohamed Salah was very knowledgeable, friendly and, helpful. If you need a guide in egypt look no further than look at egypt tours they hire only the best. Our driver was amazing as well picked us up in a clean a.c. vehicle . He was always there when we needed to be picked up and dropped off. Thank you so much. They made our honeymoon a very memorable adventure.
- GoPlaces363627565130012 Day Egypt Trip!We had Mohamed Salah as our guide at the pyramids at Giza and Sakkara on the first day, and Coptic Cairo on the second day. He made this an unforgettable experience, and we thank you. Our driver, Ayman, was fantastic, as well! He got us to and from our locations safely and with ease. He was very kind. Mohammad was very knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend this company and especially these two individuals. Look at Egypt Tours provided us with private guides and transportation (not in a group) to each location. The hotels we stayed at were very good and the food was delicious! We felt very safe throughout the trip! Highly recommend this tour.
- Mobile2363771121700Nile Dinner CruiseThe Nile dinner cruise was fantastic! Our guide Ayat was so kind and knowledgeable. She told us so much about Cairo along the way and checked on us all throughout the evening. The food was tasty and the entertainment was neat. It was so exciting to see the Nile lit up at night!
- I406800Great timeAyat is a wonderful guide. She arrived early to pick me up. Ensured I was comfortable and satisfied with everything. She gave me historical information on Cairo and its surrounding areas. She talked with me and made me feel very welcome. The shows were great! The food was better than I expected! When I return, I will definitely be using this company for more tours. Based on me enjoying the cruise so much, Ayat already recommended tour packages that should meet my standards and satisfaction. I will be recommending this company to family and friends when they visit Egypt.
- Gavin C00Unforgettable Egyptian Journey with Exceptional GuidesLook at Egypt Tours exceeded all expectations during our recent adventure. Guides Ahmad and Mohamed were not only incredibly knowledgeable about the sites we visited in Egypt, but their sense of humor and friendly demeanor made the experience even more enjoyable. Their insights and anecdotes brought history to life in a captivating way. Kudos to Look at Egypt Tours for having such exceptional guides who truly enriched our journey. We can't recommend them enough for an unforgettable travel experience.
- Ash R00Look At Egypt Tours treated us just like family! If you want to tour Egypt, the only way to do it is through this company, Look At Egypt Tours. They truly made our trip to Egypt so memorable. Every person we met who worked with this company were so helpful, knowledgeable, and treated us just like family. They made us feel very safe the whole time, and stayed with us throughout our 10 day experience. Everyone accommodated us and they specifically catered our trip just to us. They truly prioritized what we wanted to see and do. My trip to Egypt would have not been as memorable and as special if we did not do it through Look At Egypt Tours. Special thanks to our Egyptologist Randa who was the absolute sweetest. She helped us get the most beautiful and memorable pictures of Egypt. We loved our guide Mahmoud, who helped us out with everything (even watching over and taking special care of my papyrus painting for a few nights) and took us to the best restaurants in Cairo. Our favorites were koshary at Abou Tarek, and our favorite restaurant experience was at Elbayt Baytek, along the Nile. They had the best pizza and the our waiter was such a comedian! We loved the driver we had in Cairo. He was such a gentle giant who took great care of us through that crazy Cairo driving experience. I don't recall his name, so I'll include him in the photo because we truly loved him. I loved the papyrus museum they took us to and the guy that worked there was awesome. I bought a beautiful papyrus painting as a souvenir. One of our favorite experiences was our Nile cruise and I would only do it through Sonesta St. George. All of the crew members were so amazing. From the chef to the DJ, they all made our trip so much fun, and the food was the best. It was truly beautiful on board. The highlights of the trip for me were going inside the Great Pyramid and the Valley of the Kings burial chambers, especially King Tut's. Thank you to our guide Muhammad for making our time in upper Egypt so fascinating. Overall this was the most amazing trip of a lifetime, and it was truly perfect because of Look at Egypt Tours. Thank you guys so very much!
- rashroyer00Bucket-list trip to Egypt met all expectations; highly recommend Look at Egypt ToursWe took the Iconic Egypt tour, 11 days including Alexandria, Cairo, Nile Cruise (Luxor and Aswan) and Abu Simbel. Look at Egypt Tours handled all of the logistics very well. We were met at the airport (by the CEO) and walked through immigration and customs, for which we were grateful. Our Hotel in Cairo, the Steigenberger Pyramids in Giza, was very nice; we could see the Great Pyramid from our lounge chairs by the pool. Breakfast was very nice, with plenty of selections. There were several on-site restaurants to choose from as well as room service. We used room service our first couple of days; the food was edible but not much more than that. The Il Giardino restaurant by the pool was better, three meals there ranging from ok to quite good. You could get to an off-site restaurant by taxi, but we didn't bother; we came to Egypt to see bucket-list sights, not to eat. The timing of the in-country flights to and from Cairo was a bit strange. We got up at an ungodly hour to catch the flight to Luxor, and then sat around for several hours because cabins on the cruise ship weren't ready. On the way back, our flight back from Aswan to Cairo didn't leave until mid-afternoon, which looked like a wasted half day, but we found a great museum to visit in the morning and our guide arranged transportation; we highly recommend the Nubian Museum (NOT the Nubian Village) in Aswan. The Nile Cruise...well, luxury is not the right word. It served its purpose - to get us to all of the sights along the Nile with plenty of time for enjoying the experience. Our ship, one of the Jaz ships, was very dated, though quite clean. The food...I've never seen such mediocre food presented so beautifully. You'll recognize the chicken and beef by their dryness on the third appearance, no matter how attractively they disguise it. OK, the sights. Bucket list is definitely appropriate. The Pyramids/Sphinx in Giza, the church and mosque in Old Cairo, the Luxor and Karnak Temples, the tombs on the west bank at Luxor, the temples along the river, Abu Simbel, Philae and the High Dam - contemplating the engineering feat of disassembling those ancient temples and relocating them to high ground was staggering. My favorite was the Karnak Temple complex at Luxor. 14 separate temples, built over thousands of years, with each successive Pharoah trying to outdo the previous ones. As usual, Rameses II was the winner. No matter which is your favorite, you will not be disappointed by the historic sights. We had local guides in both Cairo/Alexandria and Luxor/Aswan. Both were extremely knowledgeable and went out of their way to take good care of the old couple (us) with bad hearing and traveler's diarrhea. The largest group was the day trip to Alexandria; we had 8 people in the van. Usually, it was us and no more than 2-3 others - plenty of personal explanations of things, flexibility in the daily itinerary and not much time schlepping people among hotels. My main annoyance - tipping (baksheesh). For a reason I didn't expect. We were bombarded from all sides for tips - hotel, restaurants, guides, drivers, etc - that I expected. What I wasn't prepared for was the difficulty of getting a supply of small bills to use. Forget the hotel desk. Forget the restaurant. Forget the concierge on the cruise. Nobody would give you change. You pretty much have to buy something somewhere and pay cash, and you MIGHT be able to talk them into giving you change in small bills. Reluctantly. Finally, an example of Look at Egypt Tours' consideration for us. When we were in Cairo, our local guide arranged for us to purchase a coffee table book "The Art and Archaeology of Ancient Egypt". It came with a USB drive which, he said, had many videos and photos of the major sights. Several weeks after we retuned home, we got out the USB drive to start viewing the images, and guess what? It worked...once. I emailed Ahmed Abd Alfattah, the CEO, explained the situation and asked if there was anything he could do to help me. He replied immediately and explained that, although the book was not a product of his company he would see what he could do and get back to me. Since then, he has arranged for me to download all of the images that were on the USB drive from a Google Drive. I am so grateful to have this trove of images to supplement the book. I enthusiastically recommend Look at Egypt Tours and this particular tour, and I hope that you enjoy your bucket-list trip to Egypt as much as we did.
- markwJ3767FK00A deep look into a phenomenal historyWe booked Look at Egypt Tours for a customer private driver and guided experience during our time in Cairo. From the moment we reached out to plan our experience, they were highly responsive, quick to answer questions, and provided an excellent itinerary after considering our requests. They arranged everything from airport pickup/drop off, all stops, daily lunches, Egyptologist guide, and Nile dinner cruise. Our itinerary included the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, Saqqara, Memphis open air museum, several museums, the Coptic quarter, Citadel, Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, the old Bazaar, and other interesting stops. Our guide was Mustafa and he did a phenomenal job. His passion for his history is obvious and he ensured we had the time we needed at each location. We learned a lot from his presentation and his very good sense of humor. He also arranged changing up our tour between days as I ended up with a minor stomach issue and would not have been able to handle the day the Pyramids were originally scheduled. He used that day for some of the easier stops we could move slower and take more frequent breaks. He took great care to make sure I remained hydrated despite my misfortune and was comfortable. I highly recommend using Look at Egypt Tours and we will use the again when we return to see Southern Egypt.

We did a package tour with LookatEgypt; we flew into Cairo and had three days in Cairo, then flew to Luxor for the Nile cruise. I'll review the cruise separately (spoiler alert - gets 5 stars, was amazing).
Our flight landed in Cairo at 0130 with a seven and three-year-old. We were met at the gate by Ahmed who whisked us over to take care of the Visas while we kept the kids entertained and occupied. We were taken to our hotel and hand-delivered by him, he probably didn't get out of there till close till 0300 in the morning.
The Cairo tour was great, everything you'd expect to see; Memphis, the Egyptian museum, the great pyramids and sphynx. A couple of things we asked to have added on, like the light show on the pyramids that he immediately arranged for.
The pace of the trip was on the speedy side (not a lot of lingering in places) which may not be everyone's taste. But traveling with two kids it was perfect, by the time everyone (us included) were starting to be ready to move on it was time to move on.
We felt quite safe the whole time, and additional requests or small changes in the tour schedule were accommodated gladly.
The one poor mark is that our initial room in the Cairo hotel as _NOT_ as advertised, no pyramid view, and the room was pretty run down and clearly hadn't been cleaned. The hotel was '5 star' which it may have been on a 10 star scale.
However the reason they get the highest rating from us is that they immediately jumped with we mentioned this wasn't what we had anticipated and arranged for us to upgrade to a much nicer toom (more in line with the pictures on-line).
Everything else was delivered exactly as promised, the planning and organization were impeccable. On our flight out of Cairo to Luxor, a huge sandstorm had shut down the Luxor airport, and it was unclear if flights would go from Cairo that day. Our guide stayed with us for three hours in the airport, checking on flights, and keeping us updated. This meant we could just sit there and read (and the kids watch a movie) and not have to do anything while the guide ran around the airport.
It seems like our experience mirrors the experience of others with LookatEgypt, and so it's not an anomaly. Recommend without hesitation - again we had a young seven-year-old and a three and a half year old and they had a blast. Great for young kids.

We were a group of 4 adults and worked with Look at Egypt for our two-week Egypt vacation in late December 2017/early January 2018. We had arranged for all details ahead of time, and Look at Egypt was very responsive via e-mail which allowed us to develop a detailed itinerary before leaving for Egypt (this was important to us as we were planning on visiting multiple cities and had limited time in each).
They provided all transfers and tours for us, including all pick-ups from airport(s) to hotel(s) and back, private tour in Cairo including Egyptian Museum, Giza Pyramids, transfers from Hurghada airport to our destination on the Red Sea Coast, transfer from Red Sea to Luxor, and 4 days of sightseeing in and around Luxor including a hot air balloon ride and lunches on all tour days as applicable.
All of the representatives were very professional, friendly, efficient and spoke fluent English. A representative met our arriving flight in Cairo and helped usher us through immigration and customs, which significantly sped up our arrivals process. Think red carpet service! All of their vehicles were well-maintained, comfortable, clean and operated by excellent and friendly drivers, and we were pleasantly surprised by how on-time everyone was - we never had to wait anywhere. The tour guides were always in touch with the drivers via cell phone, so the minute we walked out of a museum or site, our van pulled up and we were on our way to the next destination.
The tour guides were highly qualified Egyptologists who spoke fluent English and each had more than a decade of experience as tour guides. In addition to being able to speak to the history of the country and the sights, they also provided local insights about life in Egypt, current social and political issues, cultural details, etc. In particular, Dina Danial in Luxor was an outstanding tour guide. We spent 4 days with her touring the West Bank in Luxor, as well as Dendara a little farther afield, and of course Karnak & Luxor Temples on the East Bank of Luxor. Her style was efficient and to the point without rushing us along. It became very obvious that Dina is highly passionate about her work and about Egypt's history as well as current potential as a tourism destination, so she was a pleasure to be around and we sincerely enjoyed her company and insights. She also made some constructive suggestions on how to modify some of our plans slightly which resulted in an improved experience for all of us. We highly recommend Dina's services as a tour guide in Luxor and Southern Egypt in general, and we will most definitely use her again for our next visit. Dina has already inspired us to plan our next trip to Egypt since there are of course more sights to see that we didn't have time for.
The tour guides sometimes suggest brief visits to certain shops for souvenirs, stone work, papyrus institute, etc. They do not receive a commission, and if you are not interested, you can simply request to skip them. You are not obligated to buy anything at all, but the quality of the products there is authentic and original. We ended up visiting several of their suggested shops out of curiosity and enjoyed each of them because they provided some local color and, occasionally, the experience of haggling about the price for a particular souvenir, which is simply what you do in Egypt. Fun memories!
I recommend to book tour packages that include entrance fees/tickets as well as lunches on tour days (which is what we did). Although the entrance fees to the museums and sights are generally not expensive, lines at ticket offices are often long. It is a huge time saver when your tour guide has pre-purchased the tickets and can take you to a local restaurant for a quick lunch as opposed to trying to save a few dollars and instead wasting time by waiting in line or searching around.
Look at Egypt's prices were very competitive, though not the cheapest at first comparison. It is important to pay attention to the details of exactly what each tour company is including in their proposals. Overall, Look at Egypt's prices were a great value given the high quality of all of their services.
All in all, Look at Egypt is a very professional and reliably company that works with outstanding tour guides!

LookatEgypt is an amazing company that I would highly recommend for any of their tours. Our tour guide Mostafa was incredible. He had the right amount of knowledge and fun that made our day exciting from start to finish. He is so passionate about the country you instantly feel immersed in this wonderful place. He took care of everything for us, answered all our questions, gave suggestions on where to take photos, and taught us so much. LookatEgypt is a friendly, professional company that I would highly recommend to anyone.
