About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Sue P0 contributionsNo information- just a boat rideWe were picked up sharp on time and taken close to the Four Seasons hotel, dokdok docks to get on the boat. The ride is short circle towards the bridge and back. The fountain in the middle of the Nile wasn't working. Maybe because we'd been in Egypt for 3 days, the tour guide didn't say much at all. We asked questions about how the wooden boats are made, what the sail is made of, and historic sail materials. He didn't know. So don't expect an Egyptalogist!Written July 19, 2024
- X4502QNdinak0 contributionsOmar -Omar Felucca private boat rideOur private ride with the felucca was nice and relaxing .We got picked up from our hotel Our guide Omar was a young man very friendly and talkative . (Actually a university student) I had the opportunity to talk with him and learn about Egyptians daily routines , studies etc As for the ride in the Nile it is worth taking the ride ( not much to see , but one gets to enjoy the ride on the longest river in the world ) . We were dropped off back at our hotel and on the way back both the guide and also the young driver (Omar also ) who was an exceptional good driver wanted to treat us with their favourite and well know koshary meal unfortunately we did not have that much time for the meal we had to return to the hotel . We promised both next time when we visit Egypt . A quick note Omar the driver drove us to the airport also after midnight . His driving made us feel we were is good hands . Very good and responsible driver !Written April 30, 2024

- AliObz0 contributionsNegative outweighs the positive (unfortunately)I want to start by saying that I hate giving negative reviews, mainly because it means I had a bad experience. That said, the following won’t really be a positive review of this activity for reasons I will explain. TOUR LEADER AND DRIVER I’ll start with the only positive which is that Dahlia (tour leader) was a very kind lady and for the little time I spent with Yesin (driver), he seemed nice. ACTIVITY This activity is advertised as a “2 Hours Felucca Ride on the Nile River”. My pick up from the hotel was around 11am and I was back at my hotel before 12:30pm….before reading my next paragraph, try and guess how long I was actually riding the Nile River. The ride was about 40 minutes (well done if you guessed correctly) and 10 of those minutes were spent at a standstill. Plus, there is nothing to even see as I didn’t really go anywhere. This is because the Felucca boat doesn’t fit underneath the bridges so you are basically going from one bridge to the other. When I got back to my hotel, the receptionist was shocked and asked if anything was wrong...that is how little time I spent on this actual "ride". I hate to say it, but this activity is not worth the price I paid (just over £40). But that’s just my opinion. If you want to ride the Nile and actually see things, I suggest NOT booking a Felucca boat, but one that can actually fit underneath the bridges. HOWEVER if you are a group and just want to chill and vibe on the river, then perhaps this won’t be a bad activity to do.Written March 1, 2024
- leemC2020PS0 contributionsPeaceful excursion in CairoWe had a great time on our felucca ride on the Nile. Our guide, Aladdin, picked us up from the hotel and we took a short drive to the boat launch. It was very peaceful to be on the water away from the honking horns. Aladdin was knowledgeable about the buildings were were looking at as well as Egyptian history.Written December 21, 2023
- tonyquollh0 contributionsRelaxing and fun tour on the NileFrom pickup in the immaculate car, to the friendly, bubbly, entertaining host, and the boat driver, all made top effort to ensure the best possible event. We were disappointed that we didn't get a sailing experience, but not their fault that there was no wind.Written December 6, 2023
- miriamaA3025OX0 contributionsUnforgettable experience will treasure every momentWe sailed with the Nubians. Great food. Great company swim in the Nile awesome experience. Will recommend itWritten October 31, 2023
- 313yvonnee0 contributionsMost Amazing ExperienceThe views and the host Mostafa was amazing. It was such a relaxing sail and we didn’t stop talking with Mostafa - he is an absolute treasure for your company. We had Koshry for lunch, absolutely flavoursome, but watch out for the hot sauce - it is burning level!!! We would easily recommend this company and tour to everyone.Written October 8, 2023
- L9216BLhelenal0 contributionsVery good relaxed way to experience the NileThis was a very relaxed way to enjoy the Nile and liked it a lot. Fero was a very friendly guide.Written September 2, 2023
- usbritboy0 contributionsReally nice peopleOur guide, Abdelrhman Ismail, was very accommodating and friendly. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because our tour of the Nile was basically just sailing from one side to another five times. I was expecting to sail up and down the river a bit, and I suspect if you ask them to do that, they will.Written April 19, 2023
- seabee950 contributionsGreat experienceI went at 4pm. Got to see the sunset on the felucca before we headed to the dinner cruise which is 3 story’s highWritten March 11, 2023
- samialsheikh0 contributionsA little bit underwhelmingThis was indeed a nice felucca ride but not sure it is special when offered through this company. Our guide Mahmoud was a nice person and he offered to take nice photos of us on the boat. But unfortunately, he did not proactively provide information about anything we were seeing along the river. I think you could get a similar experience by directly approaching the dock and asking for a ride. Hotel pickup and drop off were smooth though.Written February 15, 2023
- Braninhom100 contributionsTour with JessyHad a good time on this tour with Jessy and the felucca boat operator. Got a chance to witness the sunset over the Nile river and all the nice things Cairo and Giza has to offer.Written December 22, 2022

- buciIstanbul0 contributionsNot as I imaginedIt highly depends at which location you make this tour and the time you make it. If it is sunset and there are temples or ruins ruins visible it can be more interesting.Written December 7, 2022

This trip like the others we took from Memphis Tours was amazing. It was a private tour for my husband, father-in-law and me. We left Cairo early morning for a short flight to Luxor. Once in Luxor, we took a boat to bird island and had a fabulous time. We then went to the Karnak and Luxor Temples. We also took the city tour in the evening and ate at a traditional Egyptian restaurant. The next morning we went to the Valley of the Kings and then to Hatshepsut’s Temple. All three of us were simply amazed and overwhelmed with the history and beauty of each of the tours sites. Our guide, Egyptologist Nabil Reda was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptian history. He answered all questions and offered much more. We highly recommend both Nabil Reda and Memphis Tours and are very happy that we chose them.

We traveled from Aswan to Luxor on the Grand Princess. My first impression was good, then some issues started. First were the locks on the sliding glass doors in the cabin did not lock. The came and tried to fix them but the locks were still not secure. (issue when in port) Next I used the toilet on the way to the dining room and when washing my hands the faucet pulled out of the counter top. Another time the toilet seat completely fell off the toilet. We enjoyed our trip on the cruise but the boat needs better maintenance. Wifi on the boat was a complete waste of money. It's a 3 rating at best
