Our experience overall was mediocre at best and felt very rushed— we finished the tour in just under 2 hours. The guide was friendly and gave some topline facts. However he rushed us through the sites quickly from one spot to the next in order to take touristy posed photos for us (which is fine and very nice), but it lacked in richer facts, storytelling or passion from the guide himself. He also spoke on the phone for the entire ride back to our hotel rather than engaging with us. The main objective became taking us to buy perfumes, papyrus and a cartouche factory, all which were not part of the original tour.We decided on the perfumery and to decline the others. Perfumes were wildly expensive by the way (200usd for jojoba oil?!), so if you decide to go there just be wary of that.
Generally I learned much more about pyramids and the Sphinx overhearing other guides and from my subsequent guides in other parts of Egypt.
I booked it rather late so perhaps that’s why the level of our guide wasn’t up to par with the reviews.

Wanted to leave a thank you for my very positive experience! Hussein was a fantastic guide, very informative and took the time to really help me understand the detailed history, which is fascinating. He helped me put together all those elements you know from documentaries and movies and understand the real people behind them. He was also a fantastic photographer taking time to make sure I had plenty of pictures to choose from and knew the best places to get classic shots. Also, speaking as a lone female traveller, I found having a guide brilliant to just help ensure you don’t get hassle (which isn’t offensive as such but annoying just to pre warn). I did pay the extra fee to go inside the pyramids, the first is four times the price, a harder climb and far busier. But I loved the second as it is much quieter (only passed five people) and you get more of a sense of the stillness. However I would recommend doing both as you may never go back and therefore don’t leave an experience unfinished if you can!

We booked an half day guide tour of the pyramids , picked up at 8 am rushed around, no much information given to us bout history , Definetly no passion form the guide,
At 10:30 we have been dropped at the hotel , before going in this oil “museum” aka shop for tourists . Totally ruined the experience , our first time in Giza and my girlfriend s birthday . Feel sorry if someone else get this experience . We booked online seeing good reviews and to avoid scam but we felt we got one

We visited the pyramids in the beginning of May 2021. As with many places worldwide, tourism has slowed to a trickle in Egypt. There were so very few tourists ... it is spectacular to be able to enjoy these extraordinary places virtually alone. No waiting for the perfect vantage point for photos, no waiting to enter the great pyramid, no elbowing your way through crowds ... just extraordinary magnificent sights from 4000 years ago and without tourist crowds.
We visited with an experienced guide Mohamed Hamed from Emo Tours Egypt and would highly recommend this strategy. Mohamed was very kindly and friendly. He was also very knowledgeable about the Pyramids, which was very helpful for the Pyramid Tour. And the private car was really fantastic, if you are going to do a Pyramid Tour in Cairo, Egypt, don't hesitate to choose Emo Tours. It would be the perfect Pyramid Tour. You learn so much and easily navigate to the best views and the best attractions. This is a location where a guide is very valuable.
Would highly recommend to enter the great pyramid and visit the inner chamber ... extraordinarily cool to be inside this enormous ancient structure!
A short camel ride is a great idea for fun pictures and to get full experience.
I highly recommend to visit this one of the Seven wonders of the world with Emo Tours Egypt.

Our guide was Amr Samir and he came and found us in the lobby of our hotel. As we drove to the Pyramids Amr shared his extensive knowledge of Egypt, the Pyramids and Ancient history and as we had an interest in Egyptian history we chatted all along the drive there.
When we arrived, Amr guided through the site, informing us of the history and more information as we went. We went inside a small pyramid, climbed some of the way up the Great Pyramid and went to the Sphinx.
Amr was very flexible and adapted the trip to what we wanted to do. We wanted to visit the Boat museum rather than the Papyrus museum and so Amr took us there instead.
Plenty of time for photos too.
It was a very memorable trip and enriched through Amr's warmth, humour and hospitality. He looked after us extremely well. Thank you.

Our guide Ola was amazing. Her knowledge was outstanding and she communicated in a manner that engaged us from start to finish. She was flexible with our itinerary, and even took us to exchange money when we needed it. The driver was excellent and took great care of us. I definitely recommend this tour.

We booked a half-day tour to visit the pyramids and sphinx. Ansary and the driver were great. The traffic and driving behavior is very different from what we're used to, so the driver was a huge help. Ansary was well educated, took pictures for us, taught us about the history, spoke good English, and helped us feel safe. We rode camels, but they were not very comfortable and we almost felt like we would fall off, so you could consider skipping the camel ride. He also set up a dinner cruise on the Nile for us and set up a tour for us in Luxor the next day. We enjoyed him so much we booked another tour with him later in the week to visit the Citadel and Museum. He took us to a few extra stores to experience Egyptian culture, but he always told us to feel no pressure to purchase anything.

I booked a half day tour with Emo Tour last week. My day started with my guide, Mr. Sayed and driver, Mohammed. Very punctual arrangement, started of at 8am and headed straight to the Giza Pleateau. Sayed gave a informative guide of the history of the pyramid. Since i'm travelling solo, he technically become my photographer as well. Moving on, we headed to the sphinx for another round of history & photo taking sessions. Since there is still a bit of time left for the tour, i requested him to bring me to a local shop selling souvenirs and trinkets. Prices is negotiable and you are not forced to get anything. Overall, it is definitely an enjoyable trip and i will definitely book with Emo Tours again.

I came across the guided tours offered by Emo Tours as I planned my trip to Cairo, and their variety of options is what sold it for me. They kindly accommodated my request for a female guide and assigned us with Ola. Ola was amazing from the first day we met her, when she guided us on our first tour (to Alexandria). That was a beautiful and worthwhile day, and it marked the success of the rest of my trip.
You can imagine how excited I was to learn she would be my guide again days later, this time for the Giza pyramids tour. By this time, she felt like a long time friend. My sister and I felt so comfortable with her, as she reminded us over and over to feel free to ask any questions we had. Our driver Sayed was so friendly, generous, and joyful. On our drive, we learned many interesting facts and theories about the pyramids and royalty, which only enriched our day further. It was my birthday that day, and it’d been my lifelong dream to visit the pyramids. l can 100% say my dream came true with Ola’s help.
She helped me arrange everything I wanted out of that day, knowing the pyramids were the main reason for my trip- including great pyramid entrance, a camel ride with amazing photos, and unique souvenirs. The most special part of the day was when she brought out a cake for my sister and I during our lunch (we were both celebrating birthdays, it’s why we went to Egypt). I still can’t believe she and Sayed went out of their way to do that for us. It was such a kind and touching moment that I’m truly never going to forget.
Ola is a master tour guide, and she does it effortlessly. She is incredibly intelligent, kind, welcoming, generous, and patient- and I am not the only one who thinks so! In fact, other tour guides I met during my trip knew of her, and shared the same compliments about her. I think her love and appreciation for her city shines through, and makes her one of the best tour guides in Egypt. I cannot wait to return to Egypt and see new sights, and hope I am lucky to tour with Ola again.

Is a female guide available?
Is the entry tickets and entry to temple and entry to pyramid included?
Is the camel ride cost included, how long?
Is the guide walking or will there be a vehicle to different panoramas?

Is it possible to be pick up at the Cairo International Airport? Because I don't book any hotel in Cairo.
Written January 28, 2020
Yes it is but it depends on how long your layover is. . Unless it is in excess of 6 hrs. I wouldn’t risk it if you plan to spend time exploring the pyramids. . If it is just to snap photos, it would be possible but I think it would be a shame not to enjoy the history and the wonder of it all. .

Hi, I have a 4 hour layover, I just quickly want to take pictures at the pyramids. Is this possible without being late for my flight?
Written December 7, 2019
I don’t think it is possible. . There is always the uncertainty of clearing immigration, sudden traffic. . Unless you’re prepared to risk missing your flight
