About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Gsuat0 contributionsAMAZING TOUR GUIDE AND EXPERIENCE !!I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the incredible experience Ahmëd Hossam provided during our recent tour. His extensive knowledge, infectious humor, and warm personality truly made the journey unforgettable. Not only did he bring the destinations to life with his insightful commentary, but his ability to connect on a personal level also turned our interaction into a friendship. His passion for his work shone through every step of the way, and it's evident that he goes above and beyond to ensure his guests have an enriching and enjoyable time. We thank him for sharing his expertise, for making us laugh, and for creating memories that will last a lifetime. He’s not just a tour guide; he’s a true gem who has left a lasting impact on our hearts. We had the pleasure of meeting him again a few days after on our Quad Safari experience and yet again he went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time although he wasn’t our guide for that particular trip! We look forward to our paths crossing again in the future. He is truly an asset to the company (Tui) and we wish him every success in the future!Written August 22, 2023
- DennisC30430 contributionsNothing specialThey light up the piramides and from time to time play a video and some lazers. While this is happening they go through the egyptian history, narrated by a british old school documentary voice. Its ok to see, but really nothing special for 20 dollar per person. 23 for vip, which is jusr the first 3 rows and a better cushion. The show is about 1 hour long. Make sure you have a warm sweater or jacket with you, because it can get cold with only a light breeze.Written April 14, 2022
- Muller2050 contributionsFun and very enjoyable! This was an excellent tour! The views breathtaking! Mohamed Hamed our guide was very kind, fun &friendly. I'll do it again& highly reccomendWritten December 2, 2020
- theminibreaker0 contributionsFriendly Staff, Good ServiceThank you Mohammed Mahmoud & Ahmed Abo Kher for your friendly service. Though you can purchase the tickets yourself at the gate for cheaper than the tour it is good to book this package as it includes return transport from your hotel so you pay that bit more for personal safe transport.Written September 27, 2019
- Michael M0 contributionshopelesstrip was not by felucca, but by motor barge - apparently because there being not sufficient wind. just went up the river for about 20 mins then back again - marvelous. best part was when we 'docked' as when i was disembarking due to the movement of barge i fell into the effing water. must admit all the people around help i.e. got me out, dried me off and gave me some clothes to wear and a cup of tea and were genuinely concerned and sorry for the whole incident. having said that my mobile phone which was in my jacket pocket is now KAPUT, so all in all an expensive non trip and to add to that i lost all my photos/videos on said device.Written February 23, 2019
- Timothy H0 contributionsA great introduction to EgyptThe quality of the sound and professionalism of this show cannot be overstated. An excellent history of Egypt presented as if from the Sphinx. Our Emo guide picked us up at our hotel and helped us find a great seat. This open-air presentation is a fantastic way to begin any trip to Egypt, especially for those who love history. A great way to spend an evening in Giza.Written November 4, 2018
- valeandale0 contributionsNot a must-seeYou sit on chairs in the open air at night so that's pleasant. The show illuminates the Pyramids, the Sphinx etc following a narration you hear. It all seemed very impressive to begin with with. Then in a while, the narration's disjointed sequencing, overly grandiose air and overload of names and dates started to put me off a bit. Plus, the lighting effects weren't particularly imaginative given the fabulous monuments concerned. People were fidgeting and looking around the audience aimlessly towards the end of the show, and I was not sad when it came to an end. If you're planning to visit the Pyramids by day and explore around the area, climb inside etc, then you might want to give this a miss and do something else instead.Written October 30, 2018
- Carmen v0 contributionsAmazing quad ride!!!I wasn't pleased at all with my tour guide and the way it was handled but the ride itself was really amazing so I actually would book it again! It is incredible to ride in the desert and it is not just flat sand you ride on. You ride on hills, stones and ledges. I loved it!!!! My tour guide was a more busy with texting and smoking than with the actual tour and also I had to wait for a long time before the quads were ready and the first ones broke on our way to the desert so we had to switch them. But as I said, even though all of this happened I would still book it again because the ride was insane!Written August 21, 2018
- Ashlee T0 contributionsSound & Light -Mohamed & Hany-Emo tours once again delivered with Mohamed Hamed & Hany Omar with sound & light tour. Pick up on time. Bottle water. Snacks. Coffee before the show with the locals was for sure another highlight of our trip. Anyone looking to do any trips with Emo tours needs to ask for these two gentlemen. Best night! Oh the show was pretty good as well, pyramids lit up at night is an unforgettable experience but made all the better by the people who organised the tours.Written June 2, 2018
- Febe2220 contributionsExcellent Experience!!!The quad biking tour is absolutely AMAZING!!! Such an awesome experience with Mohamed on the quads! Fast and fun. Lots of sand and great hills ...the views are amazing and unreal on the tops of the sand hills with the pyramids in the backdrop. Great pictures!! Mohamed is awesome. Such a nice night, Ahmed Saeed was able to take me to the “non typical” cairo by night, he took me around cairo to different places, we had a nice time at the Nile, the bazaar and dinner at a local restaurant, we walked to the street, somehow I had the real Cairo experience. Thank you Ahmed for such a beautiful tour, totally recommended.

This was probably one of my favorite tours while I stayed in Cairo Egypt. I booked with Emo Tours Egypt Day Tours for the Half Day Trip, Airport Transfer, and lastly but certainly not least the Cairo by Night walking tour. I am a NYC resident and could appreciate a lot of the public areas that were reminiscent of some popular Manhattan and Brooklyn landmarks.
My tour guide picked me up from my hotel and a car driver took us to the main square that looked a lot like Columbus Circle NYC. I learned about the recent revolution that took place 5 years ago and the strides that citizens have been taking to uplift their country.
Instead of going to conventional touristy spots we went to a popular bakery (the taste and smell could rival Juniors & Baked by Melissa), local stores (not trinkets), an outdoor sports lounge airing a regional football game (American soccer), and some Sheesha all in downtown Cairo.
Contrary to the narrow portrayals of Egyptian people that you might see on western TV Egypt has several great colleges and grad schools (which I've visited). There are Mosques built just footsteps away from Synagogues and Churches. Some millions cover their hair and dress traditionally. Others cut or color their hair in trendy styles and wear it out. Some wear nike sneakers. Many of them hang out and watch the game on weekends just like students in the West.
Egyptians are so polite that even though the commercial rodes don't have lanes people wait their turn when driving. Take the Cairo by night tour if you want to open your mind to the real Egypt!
