About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 991deweys0 contributionsPoor quality, and bad cheap selection of foods with parts of the ship smelling badMy wife and I have been on many cruises but this was failing in several areas. (1) The selectivity of foods was extremely limited. For example 1 meal with a carved beef, no strawberries, blueberries, kiwi and limited bananas. (2) We had a suite on the 11th floor and there was the smell of engine exhaust frequently and on parts of the floor sewage. (3) The specialty dining was oversold and impossible to get a suitable time in the restaurants of interest. (4) In the main dining room the menu selections were poor and the quality was equally bad. However, I would like to finish on a positive note. The staff was the only redeeming factor with all trying their best to make the cruise enjoyable.Written December 12, 2024
- margaretrT7030OU0 contributionsGreat holiday Exotica / Planet ToursWe had a great trip with Mohamed of Planet Tours as our guide. He guided us through our trip and pointing out the highlights at all of our stops. He had a sense of humor and appeared to enjoy his job and his country. He told us how to deal with beggers. Where to buy quality souvenirs. He even made arrangements for us to purchase a suitcase to get our extra shopping home! Yes we made the traditional shopping stops that guides I assume get a kick back from. All our accommodations where okay, Nothing over the top a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Our only issue was we where a party of 3 wanting to roon together. They always splitting us up into 2 rooms. Mohamed worked with us to arrange rooms to accommodate all 3 of us. Food on the cruise and the all inclusive resort was okay, again nothing special. Buffet style meals hot and fresh. We never got the dreaded travelers diarrhea. Stayed away from salads and fruit. Traveling throughout Egypt was on a full sized tour buses. Bus drivers had water and pop for sale if you needed. Bus had a toilet for peeing only. Going to a country of different culture and language would only travel with a tour company.Written November 18, 2024
- lauratH1452NH0 contributionsOutstanding Brief Tour of Cairo and Surrounding AreaOur experience with Reflections Travel was outstanding. We were a group of 6 and the company created a custom itinerary based on our brief stay of 2 days, 3 nights. We were booked at the Hilton Ramses on the Nile River which was a great location about 40 minutes from the airport and centrally located in downtown Cairo. The breakfast was included and delicious. The hotel social spaces were beautiful although the room itself was quite dated. Ask for a room overlooking the Nile. Our tour guide could not be better. Rasha was delightful, knowledgable, flexible and so very personable. She maximized our short time frame taking us to Saqqara Necropolis, Memphis, Giza Pyramids and Sphinx and the old Egyptian Museum that houses the largest collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world, as well as the Hanging Church, the oldest Christian Church in Africa (2nd C.) We ate lunch at two fabulous restaurants- one new and one very old. I would highly recommend Reflections Travel and especially Rasha as your guide. Our driver, Mohammed was also wonderful- always prompt, helpful and friendly. We ended our two days feeling like we had made two wonderful friends in Cairo!Written November 12, 2024
- 880aldoo0 contributionsExcellent ExperienceExcellent trip with Bilal, we saw all the monuments according to the agenda… such a nice photographer and they explain everything… a 100% recommend 😀Written August 10, 2024
- Sightsee3444640 contributionsFantastic day and fantastic guideWe had a private tour of all the Cairo must see sites. Our guide “Sam” was knowledgeable and passionate about the history, and our driver was an expert in the Cairo traffic! Not only did Sam provide the information we needed but he also took care of the logistics (tickets, checks, etc) which enabled us to cover everything in the one day, important if you are short of time. I highly recommend Reflections and the private tour we took (Museum, Pyramids, Sphinx, Camel ride). They made all the arrangements and we were able to concentrate on the history and did not stress about the admin.Written January 28, 2024
- Traveler334216207180 contributionsA pleasant guide for a pleasant tripA very pleasant half day trip with Amir as guide, and a driver. High level of service, with the tempo of the tour as you please. Very proffesionel and polite guide with great knowledge of both history and religion.Written October 6, 2023
- Daydream227122530250 contributionsPyramids with SamSmall glitch on location of meeting the driver and vehicle could have been a bit more updated but still comfortable and excellent a/c for the long drive to Cairo to meet Sam. One bathroom stop along the way in a pretty nice place especially considering some restrooms in Egypt. Met Sam, what can I say? He's engaging and extremely knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. He made the day both fun and educational. Having a private van (at a lower cost than a bus) was perfect. Sam would call the driver when we'd be heading for a pick-up and away we'd go with no delay, no counting guests, etc. The pyramids were amazing as was the Cairo museum. Probably 90% of our group pics of our entire trip were taken by Sam who not only took us to the perfect photo op places but is adept at working all kinds of phones and his pics are the best of the trip. Our driver should be entered into the Daytona 500 as he demonstrated crazy skills in traffic in both Cairo and Alexandria - the drivers/pedestrians are insane. Overall an experience of a lifetime and Sam played an important part of this lifetime memory. Highly recommend!Written October 3, 2023

- stephaniebN3303AN0 contributionsDay Tour-Giza, Museum, lunch and marketSam and his driver were excellent guides! Sam is knowledgeable and passionate about his cultures history. We were so comfortable with them and learned so much. They also made sure we had the drinks we needed, gave us sunblock and helped with local customs. Having someone else do the driving allowed us to enjoy the sights and we felt very safe! Sam was able to answer every question we had and do everything we wanted to do. He customized to our liking and we highly recommend this tour, especially with Sam!Written June 17, 2023

He made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed the ride. The sail was fantastic. Balil took great pictures of us and showed us the sites around the area. - alluremansoor0 contributionsDid not live up to any expectationsWe arrived at the boat , boarded and after approx 20 mins asked if were ready to go. We said no, we came to see the sunset on the Nile. Less than 20mins later we were heading back to the car and we were back at the hotel 1 hr from departure incl transfers. We received no refreshment and frankly were disappointed, sailing in a circle for a little over 30 mins and hurried back to the hotel. Would not recommendWritten May 3, 2023
- NeedsAVacation260 contributionsAVOID REFLECTIONS TRAVEL AT ALL COSTSI have traveled to over 50 countries over the past 20 years. I can say with certainty that Reflections Travel is the worst travel agency experience I have ever had. I encourage tourists to avoid this company at all costs if you would like to enjoy your vacation. I also encourage tourists to look more deeply into Reflections Travel's different tours and reviews (including those with one star) to get a more holistic view of this company and its shortcomings. To sum things up, we booked the Private Tour: 10 Days Pyramids, Nile Cruise & Hurghada by Air from Cairo in December 2022 for travel in April 2023. From the time we booked our tour to the last day of our tour, we were never given an itinerary of the 10 day tour. Instead were told that Reflections Travel was in high season, the office was closed, or they were short staffed and this is why they could not/would not provide us with this information. We were told that the tour would follow the itinerary listedTripadvisor. We had to call Tripadvisor several times to receive a minimal response from Reflections Travel. Once we were in Cairo, we were not communicated with regarding when the tour started, who was picking us up, what time we were going to be picked up, or where we were going. The onus was on us as guests to message in the Tripadvisor app or via what's app. Even with our many attempts, we were often ignored and not given a response. Reflections Travel contracts with separate freelance tour guides throughout Egypt, so we had different drivers and tour guides every day of the tour. This would have been fine, but the tour guides also had no information about what was on our agenda for the next day, so we were still left in the dark about itinerary until the last minute on a daily basis. Once we were told we were flying to Luxor and then later found out we were actually flying to Aswan. Another time, we were told our guide would be Shaimaa over what's app, we were told our guide would be Taye over the Tripadvisor app, and our actual guide that showed up was named Omar. There was complete disorganization and miscommunication or lack of communication throughout our tour. The tour was not private. It is advertised as private and we booked because we wanted a private tour. We did not get a private tour and others joined our group. The meals that were listed as included simply were not included. My mother, who I traveled with, has diabetes. More than an inconvenience, this was a health hazard when we were told we would be offered breakfast, and then we were not, and we were touring for a full day in 104 degree heat and she felt faint and ill. The sites that were visited were sometimes visited on different days, and most of the visits were not the length of duration listed on the website. Sometimes, a guide would try to fit two days of site visits into one day and every visit would be rushed and cut short. Overall, Reflections Travel was extremely disappointing. Tourism is the largest industry in Egypt. We would recommend doing your research and choosing a tour company with a large number of reviews that are all four or five stars. Avoid Reflections Travel at all costs if you would like a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. We wish we had.Written April 20, 2023

We recently embarked on an incredible 5-day, 4-night cruise along the majestic Nile River from Assouan to Luxor, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we set sail, we were captivated by the stunning landscapes, historical treasures, and the seamless organization of guided visits.
The cruise continued as we sailed past picturesque villages and lush greenery. Stops at iconic sites like the Kings Valley, where ancient pharaohs found their eternal resting place, and the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, a breathtaking architectural masterpiece, allowed us to immerse ourselves in Egypt's rich history. We had the pleasure to have Rushdy as a guide on our cruise.
The guided visit to the Temple of Philae was a true highlight; its intricate carvings and rich history left me in awe. The cruise ship itself was comfortable and well-equipped, offering a luxurious retreat after each day's adventures.
Our knowledgeable guide on board provided insightful narratives that brought each site to life, deepening our appreciation for the cultural and historical significance of each stop. In the evenings, we enjoyed leisurely strolls on the ship's deck, watching the sun set over the Nile's tranquil waters.
As the cruise neared its end in Luxor, we couldn't help but feel a mix of gratitude and sadness. The experience had been nothing short of extraordinary, allowing us to witness the wonders of Egypt's past while enjoying modern comforts. From the impeccable service to the enriching excursions, this cruise was a journey of a lifetime that we’ll cherish forever.

Sam was our first guide on our Egyptian experience. The first on our itinerary was the Great Pyramids, and Sam showed us how knowledgeable he was. He was very patient and gave us opportunities to make our experience memorable, such as taking us to get a camel ride and getting the perfect photos. He took is to see the Sphinx, had us experience the local Egyptian food, visit the Coptic church, and finally the Egyptian Museum.
It was a long day, and Sam did his job.
We'd like to add that later toward the end of our trip (i.e. after doing the Nike Cruise, seeing Aswan, etc.) we ended up back in Cairo and had problems with our flight home. We contacted Sam, and he offered his assistance if we needed it. Although we did not need him, that made us feel secure in knowing we had someone who could help us and speak the language.
Thanks Sam!

Our 8 day/7 night Pyramids and Nile Cruise with Reflections Travel was so well planned and exceeded all expectations. We were met at all airports and the hotels in Cairo were excellent. We always had a driver with our guide which made it so much easier to converse. The cruise on the Nile was on the Monte Carlo where service and food were plentiful. Worth noting, drinks were extra and the ship lacks USB ports, if that is important to you for charging your devices. We were in constanta communication with WhatsApp.
Our guide in Cairo, Maior (I believe), did a great job taking us to the pyramids, museum and Coptic area. It was a full day, but we covered the main attractions with enough time at each.
Abdo, our Nile cruise guide was absolutely amazing with excellent English. His knowledge of Egyptian history was incredible and his enthusiasm for sharing was infectious. He hit all the high points at each site plus more. We were given ample time to explore on our own if we wanted. He also answered all our questions and gave us insight into Egypt’s relationship with its neighbors. Very enlightening.
And for those who are questioning whether Egypt is a safe place to be during these troubling times, let me just say that we always felt safe. Don’t pass this up.

I just completed the 8 day 7 night Cairo/ Nile Cruise tour with Reflections Travel. All questions during the booking process were answered quickly and their pricing is very reasonable. Also, thier choice of accommodations in both Cairo and on the Nile exceeded my expectations.
What made the trip truly remarkable were their guides. I had Sam in Cairo and Mohamed Awad on Nile Cruise. Their knowledge and kindness were absolutely amazing and they were always available 24/7 during the tour if I had any questions or concerns. It was a true once in a lifetime experience thanks to these two incredible guides.
I would not hesitate to recommend this tour!

Good morning,
During my meeting with the Carrefour travel advisor, I would have liked to have had all the information about the trip. That way I could have said no to the trip.
Here is the list of problems:
-When we arrived in Luxor at 11:20 p.m. after going through customs, we had to find our guide outside the airport to find out which bus we should take.
-Arrived on the boat at 00:15, we have a meeting with the accompanying guide and he informs us of the registration + the drinks packages and other packages. Once the meeting ends around 1:00 a.m. we have to queue at check-in to make payments for the drink packages. In closing, the guide informs us that we must get up at 6:00 a.m. to do the first excursion. No one was happy.
The boat is old but good, however, the mattresses in the rooms are not at all comfortable. These are as hard as a plank of wood. Many people have complained about the mattresses. My partner and my father hardly slept all week because they were so uncomfortable.
-What do you mean in your morning excursion documentation??? For me this means around 07:00, 08:00 or 09:00 in the morning. Not 01:45 in the morning for Abu Simbel, or 05:00 in the morning for Luxor or 04:00 in the morning for Cairo.
The latest we've been able to get up all week is 06:30
Morning = morning therefore after 06:00 in the morning. Morning does not equal night!!!
If we would have had this information from the start we would never have chosen this cruise.
If I pay for an all-inclusive on a cruise for 8 days and 7 nights, it's not to eat a disgusting snack in a small cardboard box on the way to Cairo. In addition, on the boat at the buffet, they had provided the bare minimum for breakfast.
If the excursions are outside like Cairo and we have to eat in a restaurant, tell me why I have to pay for (soft) drinks when I paid for my package on the boat??? This is unacceptable.
When we spend time on the boat, there should be something to eat between meals. Besides the 4:00 p.m. the times with 2 small cakes, there is nothing else.
-I should not expect a cruise like MSC, Celebrity or Norwegian but you sell the cruise as a 5*. For me this cruise is worth no more than 4* and even then!!!.
To tell you the truth, it was lucky that our guide Rania Ramzi was there. She is excellent.
To do it well, this cruise should be done over 10 or 12 days. This way everyone could assimilate the information, the cruise would be much more interesting
Would I recommend this boat? My answer is no.

Our tour guides Sam and Roshdi has made our experience went beyond good! They were fun, friendly, helpful, and super professional Egyptologists! Both of them took great care of us and gave us cultural , genuine, and informative experience. I’ll give them 5 out 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ FYI, they both take good pictures 😁
However, I only gave four stars to the tour because of the communication from the travel agency. I booked the tour because all the famous sightseeing places were covered. We received an detailed daily itinerary confirmation prior to the tour, but discovered they changed some bits without acknowledging us - Abu Simbel tour on Day 4 that supposed to be the highlight of the day became ‘optional’ which requires an additional 100 USD per person. We really appreciate Roshdi helped us to sort things out! Otherwise, it could’ve be a huge regret of this trip. But overall, the trip is well arranged.
Additionally, special shout-out again to Roshdi that helped us organized a hot air balloon experience for the sunrise!

We really enjoyed our experience with Reflection’s Travel everything ran very smoothly from day one when we were collected from our airport hotel and taken to the first hotel on the tour. Sam our guide for Cairo went above and beyond all of our expectations he took care of booking our optional Pyramids lights and sound show that evening.
The next day he accompanied us to the Pyramid ‘s and the Egyptian museum explaining everything clearly and answering all of our questions.
We then flew to Aswan where we were collected at the airport and taken to the cruise ship to meet up with our guide Roshdy Khodary who could not do enough for us taking care of absolutely everything for the next 4 days suggesting tours that we may be interested in taking without any pressure to participate.
At every monument we visited Roshdy sat down with us and explained very clearly about the history of the site before walking around with us and telling us about the different hieroglyphs and paintings on the walls. He also made sure to explain exactly the purpose of the different areas of the sites. We were then given free time to wander around on our own and take as long as we wanted to take photos.
After we had finished our tours in Aswan and Luxor Roshdy accompanied us to the hotel in Luxor for our overnight stay and took care of check in for us and wouldn’t leave until we were settled in.
Roshdy is an excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide he’s very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us nothing was too much trouble for him.
We look forward to visiting Egypt again in the future and will hopefully be able to request Roshdy again as our guide.
Thank you so much for everything we really appreciate what Reflections and all the people that were employed by them did to make sure our first visit to Egypt unforgettable.

As a family (2 adults, 2 children), we participated in an 8-day Cairo, Luxor and Aswan cruise from Cairo through the Get Your Guide website. We would like to thank Zeinab for her excellent and dedicated work. We could reach her at any time when we encountered problems and she solved our problems. He informed us of about next day trips and the trips were well planned. Our tour guide in Cairo, Mahmoud, is also a great guide. He was kind, knowledgeable, and worked hard to ensure we had a good time. We thank him very much too and strongly recommended him who would like to visit Cairo. We will comment again later about Luxor and other days of the trip.

Roshdy was by far the best guide I had in Egypt (and one of the best I've ever had). While others were disrespectful as I'm a female, he was nothing but kind and caring. He made sure I felt safe everywhere we went. He is also very knowledgeable in Egyptian history and shared many amazing stories at each place we visited. By the end, I realized I learned a lot as I could recognize different gods and carvings thanks to his teaching.
I shared with him what gifts I was looking for and he took me to the best places to ensure I got exactly what I needed at a fair price. At the end of the trip, I started to catch a cold. He helped me with medicine, made sure I stayed warm, and took it easy while still exploring. We also had a lot of fun together as he has a great personality. We shared many good laughs and memories. I feel like he created a unique experience just for me. I cannot say enough good things and will be recommending him to everyone I know!

My husband and I had a wonderful time exploring Egypt, both land and sea. We tried different types of tours including a dive live-aboard, Nile Cruise, having only a driver and exploring sights on our own and having a private guide. I would highly recommend having a private guide if you are doing a Nile Cruise and/or exploring Egypt by land. Our guide, Roshdy Khodary, was a wonderful private guide. He took care of everything and he took care of us. We learned so much. He is extremely knowledgeable in Egyptian history. He provided great advice for navigating bazaars and helped us with special requests. When we return to dive in the North Red Sea and explore Egypt some more, we will definitely be asking Roshdy Khodary to be our guide again.

Our party of three will be one couple and one single, so we will need not three singles but one double and one single in the hotel as well as on the cruise. How will that affect the cost?
Written August 30, 2021
It says the cost is INR 75,176/- per head, but when I try to book it shows INR 94,508/- per head. Why is that?
Written August 30, 2021
We are 2 couples. I see 2 prices, the lower says 3 pax the higher single rooms. Which is the price for 2 doubles? Many thanks.

I’m headed for this tour on Friday. Just curious about how many people will be in our group. Traveling with one friend.
Written October 7, 2019
I believe it is a private tour.
I am a solo traveler.
If you are traveling with another friend, it should be 2 of you and a guide and a driver.
Hope this helps.
Have a safe trip.

what ratings are the hotels and ship? How is the weather in oct.
Written September 23, 2019
3 to 3 star is realistic, Egypt's 4 or 5 star is really 2 or 3 star for American or western countries.
