- kennyc1080 contributionsAmazing 2 days in Cairo! We had a fantastic 2 days full private tour all inclusive with our Tour Guide, Nour, and our Dedicated Driver - Emad. This was our first time in Egypt, and the whole journey for the 2 days was packed with fun and enjoyable sightseeing. Nour is an expert in Egypt history and he makes our visit so interesting. His excellent storytelling abilities of all the historical sites make it all worth it. We enjoyed the local food lunch and are grateful for all the arrangements! Thanks for such a wonderful experience! We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Egypt!Written January 14, 2025
- nielsandreasa0 contributionsRemember to have student cards with you for the entrance fee for both the pyramids and museum entranceMe and my gf from Denmark/Danmark visit Egypt between Christmas and new year, a bit cold during this week but still warmer than DK , We really enjoyed this tour guide especially the camel riding was fun Our guide was a woman and she was very kind and friendly, and she also speaks very good English, especially compared to the average Egyptian we came across during our trip You can pay to the entrance fee when you are at the pyramid, it isn’t that expensive and with student cards it is even cheaper (450 egp) the same goes for the museum (300 egp) Side note: The toilets in the museum doesn’t have toilet paper so have some on you if you are consumer of toilet paper during bathroom visits and you need to go around hereWritten December 28, 2024
- J5696TOkimh0 contributionsGreatFab time. We were picked up from our hotel. It was not on the drop down list when we booked but this was not a problem. The guide was very good. We had paid to go inside the great Pyramid..............certainly a great way to warm up, as everybody came out sweating. The history was fascinating and all questions answered. There are cheaper tours, but we had our own guide. Some guides were less knowledgeable as we discovered elsewhere, and some had poor English. We could not have done betterWritten October 30, 2024
- agapi19800 contributionsThanks Tree of Life toursDuring a long layover at Cairo airport, we decided to do some exploring. We felt completely comfortable leaving our luggage in the car, as we had total confidence in our guide, Ashraf. He was fantastic, showing us around and making us feel right at home. Ashraf's insights and knowledge were exceptional, and he made sure we had an amazing experience!Written October 17, 2024
- 168alexandriad0 contributionsManual was the best guide! Book with her!Manual was an exceptional guide on our tour! She knew a lot of information, was very genuine, helped us find amazing shawarma, and was very patient. If you book this tour, make sure you read that tickets are not included. Though it was affordable to get in, it was a little annoying lol.Written October 13, 2024
- 456geraldineg0 contributionsFirst time in CairoThanks to mimo and yasin we had a great time in egypt. We started our day at the pyramids, we then stopped at the museum where we saw king tut's mask, the bazaar, and ended our day at the nile. Mimo and Yasin made sure we were comfortable, took their time to wait for us when we wanted to shop, answered all our questions and hooked us up with the best shawarma and falafel in Cairo. Thank you so much mimo amd yasin for the unforgettable experience.Written October 9, 2024
- V150HZpaulap0 contributionsBest experience of Cairo for first time travellersThe best tour to visit the key highlights in Cairo for 2 days. It's a private tour so me and my partner had the driver and our fabulous tour guide for ourselves! Phoebe was fantastic, always accommodating us, protecting us from scams and making sure we were comfortable (and hydrated!). She was basically one of the highlights in Cairo. The first day we went to the pyramids complex and had lunch with a view. I really appreciated that this tour included also Saqqara and Memphis. I've got the best pictures of Egypt from this day (and we were around for 2 weeks!) The second day we visited Old Cairo and the Egyptian Museum. After being in both I don't think I would have been able to survive without a guide so really thankful for having Phoebe with us and for all her knowledge. The lunch on the second day was my favourite. We went to a local restaurant near the Hanging Church and it was so so nice. It was our first time in Cairo so having this very complete tour with such a fantastic guide really made the difference for us.Written October 7, 2024
- 600olivetb0 contributionsGreat Tour with Tree of Life ToursThis was the best tour I took in Egypt. Zenab, my tour guide, was patient, not pushy, and spoke excellent English. She showed me unique spots and made the experience smooth. The driver was also kind and patient. Highly recommended, especially if you need a calm and chill guide. Plus, she’s a fantastic photographer!Written June 18, 2024
- ontor20190 contributionsBrilliant two day tour service!Mimo our tour guide and Ibrahim our driver for the two days was exceptional. Nothing was too much hassle for them. Mimo made our experience great, he made sure that we had everything we needed going at our own pace especially with a 21 month old baby. They adjusted pick up time by half hr as 8am was too early for us. He is very knowledgeable and has tons of information to share. Our trip to the Saqqara was part way abandoned due to the extreme heat by ourselves and Mimo refunded our tickets for it- brilliant service. The camel ride was shorter than the allcated time but Mimo made sure this was completed and sent us back on again- he gave us the choice of riding the horse and carriage. He really went the extra mile to make sure we had time to experience, rest and explore thoroughly. Ask for Mimo if you do book and you will see how accomadating he is. He even stopped to get us watermelon at our request! Food was good in a nice resturant the first day, then shawarma on the second. Everything is explained clearly and fully- adjustments are made according to the client- it is your tour so go with what works for you. All addidional stops that isnt part of the tour was a treat too. He did not push us to buy infact he made sure the locals especially in Khan-el-Khalil bazzar werent ripping us off with extortinate prices- he made sure we didnt fall for it and kept us all safe throughtout our two day. We already miss his company. Ibrahim is a true gentleman, opening the door helping with our stroller making sure the car was always clean. Aircon great what luxury! There was no pressure and we were relaxed. Thank you to both men for making our trip pleasant.Written June 4, 2024
- ballard0p0 contributionsSolo female Cairo tourZenab, a female guide for a personalized tour of the Giza Pyramids and Saqqara, where I discovered the pyramids, saw the Sphinx, and climbed into ancient tombs. Ideal for solo female travelers in Cairo, this women-only tour ensures comfort and offers a rare chance to explore with a female Egyptologist in Egypt’s male-dominated travel industry.Written May 31, 2024
- petsass20240 contributionsTree of Life toursOur tour with Zenab and Mido was fantastic. They picked us up from our hotel in an A/C car and explained our itinerary. At the Great Pyramids of Giza, Zenab took great photos, and we enjoyed a camel ride to the viewing area. We visited the Papyrus paper gallery, the Sakkara Step Pyramid, and the treasures of Ramses II in Memphis. Lunch was delicious, and we had a view of the Pyramids. We also saw how essential oils and perfumes are made. Zenab and Mido provided excellent historical insights and made us feel comfortable throughout. I highly recommend asking them for the best tour of Egypt!Written May 28, 2024
- bahabaha0 contributionsGreat Alexandria tour from CairoIt was very family friendly tour with Zenab as out guide. We did enjoy every bit of it. Learning a lot about the Greek & Roman history of Egypt while exploring the Catacombs, Pompey's pillar. We learned about modern history through the New Library of Alexandria. Lunch was great overlooking the Mediterranean.Written April 15, 2024
- alfred_ambroos0 contributionsGreat Alexandria tour with Tree of life toursStepping back in time of ancient conquerors and unrivalled knowledge, our private day trip to Alexandria was an experience draped in historical grandeur and Mediterranean charm. Led by the incredibly knowledgeable Zenab, our adventure rewound to the days of Alexander the Great. We descended into the Roman Catacombs, with its eerie chambers. Standing before the soaring Pompey's pillar, we were left awestruck. Yet, it was the disc - shaped marvel of the New Alexandria Library, that took our breath away. Amid these wonders, a delectable seafood lunch awaited us. Zenab's expertise shone brightest here, as she wove the city's past with its lively present. Highly recommend this tour for anyone seeking a taste of Egypt's historical treasures in a single, unforgettable day trip.Written April 9, 2024
- dianahK757MQ0 contributionsGreat for a long layover in CairoWe had a wonderful time! Very thorough communication with our guide and super easy pick up and drop off from the airport. We started early on Friday so there were very few people around. We felt a little rushed at the pyramids and only got to take pictures with the great pyramid. would have liked to spend a little more time wondering around or seeing the other ones. The camel rides were my kids favorite. They also offer a carriage ride if you’d prefer. The camels looked really healthy and well taken care of. We spent a large portion of the tour be taken to shops, oils, papyrus, jewelry. Tip: despite the shop owner saying you can bring the oils in your carry on you cannot and will make you check it if you have a suitcase to put it in. We ended up using my husbands day bag to check them. Lunch was good with a view overlooking the pyramids. The museum was interesting and our guide was really knowledgeable. We were discouraged from visiting the market though it didn’t look any more intense than ones we’ve seen in other parts of the worlds like Istanbul, Delhi, or Beijing. For a long layover and ease of getting around and hitting the highlights of the city this was a perfect choice.Written January 6, 2024

Excellent guide Zenab and driver Hosn provided an organized and smooth day. I recommend them 100%. The transport was modern and spotless. You get a lot done on this tour and it is all worthwhile. We especially loved the camel ride and taking photos at the pyramids, but the mummies and treasures at the museum are also something I will never forget.

I had limited time in Cairo, so needed a tour which went to all the main places and this tour fit the bill.
Pros: 1. great tour guide, Mohamed Gouda. He has a wealth of knowledge and a real passion for his work. He took tons of pictures for me and was very personable. 2. The exhibits themselves were fascinating 3. Nice, clean car for transportation for the day.
Cons: extra costs. At an already pretty steep price point, you are still responsible for the entrance fees and lunch.
All in all, it was a great day and I would recommend to others.

We could not have hoped for a better day! We went to Egypt especially to See the pyramids so it was a really important part of our trip & Ashraf made it such a wonderful experience. He was funny, spoke amazing English, regularly asked if we were enjoying our day & taught us all the amazing history without it feeling like a history lesson.
He was also fantastic in taking lots of photos for us so we could remember the day forever. THANK YOU for the best day of our trip. Will recommend you friends!

We spent a lovely day with our wonderful tour guide Ashraf, who guided us through the pyramids at Giza, the bazaar and the Egyptian museum. Ashraf was knowledgeable, friendly and very personable. We got along very well with him, which helped make our day that much better. We drove around Giza and Cairo in a clean, comfortable and air-conditioned car driven by Youssef who expertly managed the chaotic traffic in Cairo. We were picked up at our Giza hotel and started the day at the pyramids. We did the trip inside the Great Pyramid which we do recommend since it is an experience, but beware that it can get quite claustrophobic inside given the narrow tunnels you'll be traveling through. We then drove around the pyramid complex until we got to the most breathtaking plateau view of the 3 pyramids. We did a short camel ride out toward the pyramids, where we got some of the best unobstructed pictures of the pyramids. We also toured the solar boat museum, which is optional and is an additional cost, but which we highly recommend! After the pyramids, we had the best falafel lunch at a local restaurant before heading toward Cairo. While driving around Cairo, Ashraf kept us abreast of everything we were seeing on our way to our destinations and gave us recommendations for things/places to see on our own after the tour. We then arrived at the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar and after some advice on haggling and prices, were allowed to walk around and explore on our own. The Bazaar is vibrant, colorful and exciting to walk around. You can find everything you’d want to buy as a souvenir but beware of buying things that are pre-packaged and made in China. We relaxed a little after exploring with some Turkish coffee at a local coffee shop. We then ended the day at the Egyptian Museum, the highlight of which was the King Tutankhamun Collection. We got to see most of the treasures that were found inside his tomb, which we’d been to previously on our trip, and which are truly incredible! The museum has so many ancient treasures to see that it would take days to fully see everything, so I’d recommend going back for a second day if your trip allows. We ended our tour by being dropped off at our Cairo hotel. Ashraf and Youssef were kind enough to allow us to bring our luggage on the tour so we could transfer to our next hotel after the tour, and Youssef cared for them as we spent the day touring. This was a huge help for us! Overall this was the perfect day tour to see the pyramids and introduce us to Cairo. I highly recommend doing this tour and requesting Ashraf as your guide!

Had a meeting to attend in Hurghada and thought ( since I had to fly in from Cairo anyway ) that I'd take a day and soak in the sights of the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and visit the famed Museum of Egyptian Antiquities. Booking and confirmation was done and received promptly online - along with clear instructions.
Now, I wasn't sure if by 'private', I'd be expected to share the day with other tourists ( since I'd encountered tours on previous trips to other countries where 'private' meant being in a small group' ) but I was thrilled to learn that I would indeed have the services of the guide and driver all to myself for the entire 8-hour duration.
My guide ( Fatima ) and driver ( Ibrahim ) were the perfect company - they turned up on time ( actually early ) and had the most effervescent personalities to cheer up my morning. Fatima is truly a gem - she's articulate, funny, extremely knowledgeable and ( as a bonus ) super proficient at helping me take photos. I travel alone most of the time alone and since I do not subscribe to nor have the photo-taking skills of a 'social media influencer', I don't often end up with many nice picture memories of myself - just a whole lot of shaky selfies and photos of what I saw and where I've been. However, Fatima assisted ( more like directed haha ) with many photo opportunities whilst on the tour and gee, she's really good at it. She knew all the right spots, angles, etc and for once, I can truly enjoy the tours and experience the sights without having to worry about taking pictures of myself.
The sights were indeed breathtaking - the Pyramids were awe-inspiring and the tour of the Museum most educational. There wasn't a whole lot to see at the Bazaar though ( perhaps it's the time of the day ) but since I wasn't big on shopping for curios and souvenirs, that suited me perfectly fine.
There will of course be attempts made to have you drop by at 1 - 2 shops to 'experience local products' but a polite decline from my end was all it took for me to side-step that process.
The day started with me thinking " Gee, 8 hours is a long time to spend touring" but both Fatima and Ibrahim made it felt like a breeze and at the end of the day, I felt I've made two new friends and had a productive and wonderful day spent in Cairo.

My girlfriend and I have been looking forward to our trip to Egypt for months and day 1 did not disappoint. Our tour guide Bassem met us in the lobby of our hotel and made sure to make us feel welcome and comfortable the rest of the day. Our first stop was the pyramids of Giza where Bassem shared a lot of knowledge about the history as well as taking amazing pictures.
Bassem also helped me propose to my girlfriend by taking us to an amazing view, leading us away from the crowd, and capturing the moment beautifully on video as well as with photos!
From the pyramids we saw the Great Sphinx, a papyrus store, perfume shop, and then the amazing Cairo museum. The guided tour of the museum allowed us to see many important pieces in a reasonable amount of time without feeling like we were rushed through.
We ended the day with lunch at a local shawarma shop that was delicious and the bazaar. A huge thank you to Bassem and our driver for making our first day in Egypt unforgettable!

We did a private 8 hr tour with Ashraf. Oyr itinerary was a visut to the Giza pyramids and sphinx where we had a camel ride, then to the papyrus museun and lunch, followed by the museum and bazaar. Ashraf was knowledgeable and communicated very well and pleasantly, the tour itself was very valuable without being overwhelming or boring and we had a great time.

We had one day in Cairo and maximized our time by booking a private tour that included Khan el Khalili market (amazing architecture), Egyptian Museum, Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx. Was a whirlwind but what an amazing day. Mina made the places come alive and was intuitive and figured out what we liked quickly and tailored the day to our tastes. Lunch and a camel ride were also included and Mina arranged a lunch in a local restaurant that gave us a true taste of Egyptian food - all freshly made (and no mummy tummy). Mina also provided us with insight into which shopping places carried non-local products. Very helpful. He made our day complete by suggesting a local place for dinner and another for dessert. Can’t say enough about his knowledge and his ability to interpret what we were seeing and bring it to life for us. We highly recommend this tour with Mina. I will add photos when I have better cell service.
