Our guide Mona and the driver came on time and waited for us to finish our breakfast. We were a group of nine people so keeping us together all the time is a challenge that Mona managed really well :) The minivan they took us with was super clean with a nice collection of arabic music we enjoyed the most. The program was great - we did the pyramids, riding camels, the Sphinx, nice lunch, the Medina and Mohamed Ali Mosque instead since we already saw the museum the day before. I enjoyed the time at the Mosque the most. Sitting on the carpet under the massive chandelier, doors wide open looking over the city of Cairo, having a friendly talk with Mona about Egypt, politics, religion, the Hajj, cinema and dreams.

Booked a tour of the Giza Pyramids, Egyptian Museum and Bazaar and I have to say it was a great experience. My tour guide Hosni and driver Khalid did a wonderful job of guiding me around the city and explaining the history and architecture of this wonderful city. Seeing the pyramids was amazing and the camel ride was way more fun than I thought it would be. It felt like you were way back in time when you are sitting on top of the camel and gazing at the mysterious beauty of the ancient pyramids and Sphinx.
The lunch on the tour is very tasty and plentiful with lots of variety, even if the restaurant is a bit small and quiet. But Hosni’s great conversation made up for the lack of ambiance.
The museum is a must see and provides more context to the history of the pharaohs and pyramids. Seeing King Tuts golden sarcophagus and headpiece was the highlight for me.
The bazaar was also really interesting with its labyrinth of passage-ways and market vendors selling everything you could think of. What was refreshing was that vendors didn’t hassle you like I’ve experienced in many other countries.
I wondered what it would be like travelling here during Ramadan, but found it was not an issue at all and everyone was very welcoming and accommodating.
A great way to spend the day in Cairo and I would be very happy to take another of their tours in the future to view some of the other sites.

Hi, we have a full day layover in Cairo (our flight lands at 6:30). Would like to know if you can pick up and drop us at the airport. Additionally, how flexible is the tour schedule (i am assuming we will be the only group in the car/van)
We would like to add a Boat ride / Dinner by the nile to the itinerary in the evening before our drop back to the airport.
