We had a transfer through Egypt Excursions Online to the airport. Very organised, trustworthy, confirmed the day before and communicated on arrival and got us to the airport in a timely manner.

Ride a Felouka was one’s of my favorite things to do in Egypt. The wind and calm of the Nile river give you a pleasant journey. The only thing That worried me was two kids on a surf table got near our boat to sing to get money. I got so frightened about them to get drowned. They were very cute singing so many songs in different languages.

I was collected promptly from my hotel by Mahmood Anwar and his driver Samir. We drove to where the Felouka's set sail trough the busy streets of Cairo. In contrast the Felouka sunset trip was very peaceful and calming as the water lapped up against the side of the boat as we watched the sunset. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The next day I had booked a lunch cruise down the Nile. Mahmood warned me that the boat cruise didn't entail leaving the dock! and he told me I would be disappointed, which I was, so he went the extra mile for me and took me on another Felouka ride for free. Thank you Mahmood for making my stay in Cairo so special and taking me for two unforgettable trips on the Nile River.

Thoroughly recommended to go for a trip in a Felouka on the Nile. We took the boat from Maadi, next to the TGI Friday there. No need to book, just turn up and go. Sunset is the usual time. Take a picnic, i.e. Snacks and drinks to enjoy while you are being sailed.

Thoroughly enjoyed my Fellouca ride on the Nile. Spent about an hour on the boat after visiting the Egyptian Museum. We boarded the boat in front of the Four Seasons on the Nile. The weather and wind was perfect and it was was so peaceful

I thought we'd just go to a dock and pay. But we really did need our hotel's help. We took some food and spent one hour on our boat. Bring a jacket because it is nice and cool. And quiet after hearing Cairo car horns :)

A beautiful experience in the Nile River, this river is exceptional if u compare it to most (actually to every) river that I've been to, in Europe and North America..... It is wide (very), with a beautiful color, and a lot of history..... Felouka experience is very special, with local simple people running it, giving u a different experience than what u get in the big 4 and 5 stars river cruise ships.... You feel very close to the river and people..... I loved the experience!

i love riding in any boat.. the nile is amazing at night, the view of Cairo in it's brightness is always mesmerizing.

Pack any picnic you can think of and have a lovely dinner cruising the Nile in Cairo. It's very relaxing yet adventurious in the same time.

I ride a felouka in Cairo 2 times till now. We went with all my family. We brought Egyptian food. We had music. Good Egyptian captain. We made a lot of pictures.view was amazing. Magnificent City . Nice on day time also by night. Many lights at night . Do it.

Sun set and evening are the best times to enjoy a nice ride. A good two to three hours would be highly recommended. You could even organize snacks and a Coleman with drinks of your choice to enjoy the ride. What is great about felouka rides is that you do not feel the headache most boat rides cause from the engine noise and vibration. The felouka ride is noise free, you are led by the forces of nature and a cool breeze the Nile usually offers even during the summer (if in the evening, of course). It is highly recommended, we have done it, over and over again. Be it just my wife and I or with friends. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our ride down the Nile, it was private for us so just my partner and I, our guide and the driver. I cant remember our drivers name but he was pleasant and polite and didn't hesitate to help us on and off the boat. Even when he put some music on, he played what we wanted to hear. It was nice to relax for a while and a break from the Cairo traffic. Although it was only a short ride, it was very enjoyable.

If you ever visit Cairo, you must take a falluca ride on the Nile, it is fantastic value for money. You can take one as couple or part of a large party, they are incredibly cheap. I would rocommend taking it at sunset, the setting sun make the trip even more romantic. You can also vary the length of your ride but I would recommend at least 1hr.

Wherever the feluccas go it's worth spending a few hours on them. So relaxing! Don't know about Abo el Feda exactly. There are two places: in front of Four Seasons hotel if you fancy a boat trip in the centre of Cairo and in Maadi if you prefer a more tranquil place. Both excellent to escape the hustle and bustle of this megacity!
