- Meander6270660 contributionsExcellentFirstly we would like to thank our very experienced, professional and friendly Tour Guide, Andy, who was super informative and knowledgeable about the country and all the places we visited. The tour well exceeded our expectations. DMZ was very interesting and well organised. We learned so much about the history and situation between North and South Korea. The suspension bridge above the beautiful forest is extremely scenic. Despite being a little scared of heights I managed it because it is very well built and actually not too high. I highly recommend this Tour, we had a great day out ! THANK YOU!!!!Written September 4, 2024
- Frau_Blucherrr0 contributionsA five star experience from the start to the end!A great experience, even if the weather was hot. I recommend good hiking shoes and lots of water. Our guide Jimmy was the perfect host. Helpful and friendly, made our trip unforgettable. We got great views, fantastic Korean food and an unbelievable experience at the Korean sauna. I recommend you do get the scrub: it costs a small extra (25.000/30.000 won), but it is worth every penny. You will never have smoother skin.Written August 19, 2024
- christylC5741FG0 contributionsDMZ Day TripBenny was fantastic! He did a great job sharing the history of Korea and answering all of our questions. We got to see some areas outside of where we were staying, and had lunch at a local soup spot.Written August 16, 2024
- timothyi990 contributionsPricey, but worth itVery efficient. The private tour guide was able to avoid the bus crowds and provide extra personalized tour information.Written August 6, 2024
- C600TXneilf0 contributionsGreat private tour for a familyGreat day with our private guide Alfonso who was knowledgeable and friendly throughout. We were able to relax as he sorted all arrangements, queued for our tickets, and steered us to the experiences away from the big groups so it truly felt like a personal touch. Thoroughly recommend this tour.Written July 7, 2024

- Europelover20140 contributionsWonderful day despite the rain!We had a full and fulfilling day with BJ. Everything ran like clockwork from the hotel pick-up to our early evening return. It is a long drive to Hahoe Village from Seoul, 3 - 3.5 hours with heavy traffic, but it was easy to relax and enjoy the incredible scenery. BJ is a great conversationalist, sharing information on Korean history and personal anecdotes that made the time fly. We appreciated that he understood our preference for a lighter lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the local place he took us to. I truly felt privileged to have been a patron when I learned that the restaurant sees few Americans. The stops - cliff overlook, Confucian Academy, Village, and Mask Museum met all expectations. Fascinating peek into Korean life as it was and still is in this living historical village. This was an area I had researched as a DIY venture, but the logistics on public transport were more than I wanted to undertake. The tour was perfect - all transport was personalized and BJ’s excellent guiding provided so much more than we could have experienced on our own. I highly recommend Outdoors Korea for tours to Hahoe - and ask for BJ!!Written June 23, 2024
- raycV21IK0 contributionsGreat nighttime tour of SeoulThis was an excellent night tour of Seoul. Got to see the hilly neighborhoods and beautiful parks of Seoul at night. Jimmy our guide took us up into the hills so we could see the night sky of Seoul. It was amazing. We capped it off with a great Korean BBQ. Highly recommended.Written June 19, 2024
- Chxmd0 contributionsDMZ in the rainOur first stop in S. Korea was a day trip to the DMZ. Benny was the guide for our family of 4. He was knowledgeable and good natured. The tours are first come first serve, no reservations. So we left early from our hotel for the hour long trip. During which time Benny gave a good history of the Korean peninsula. When we got there it was overcast and rainy so he choose a 1 pm time, which worked out great as the weather cleared. So in the AM we went to the suspension bridge, the rain made it a bit more challenging. But it was still fun. Be prepared for a good amount of walking. We are good shape for our age, but the tunnel walk (stooped over and at a steep grade) was felt the next day!Written June 8, 2024
- ethannagel0 contributionsIncredibleShane was our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing, very informative and made the tour special, stopping to take photos and took us to one of the best food spots I have ever eaten at! If you are going to Seoul this is an absolute must! I would also definitely recommend the private tour versus a tour group as the tour groups had to many people to properly enjoy the sites.Written May 20, 2024
- saadb8250 contributionsGreat experienceWe had a lot of fun exploring the mountain, our tour guide Mr.Kim was cool and informative. He told us a lot about the history of Korea and the temples around us.Written May 19, 2024
- Vuk120 contributionsHike through beautiful mountain! We went to our hike on a rainy day, our guide Benny was excellent , he texted before, brought water , snacks and umbrellas. Hike was amazing, it is demanding hike so make sure you are fiscally in good shape. Hike up was around 1.5 h. On top of the mountain is 1000 years old Buddhist temple with amazing view and Buddha figure carved in stone . After hike and steps to the temple you go another 108 steps to the stone. Hike down is easier. After hike we went to eat traditional Korean meal in local place, which was very tasty,it’s not flashy place but food was good. After that we went to Korean spa which was quite interesting experience. I hope you are not shy because you are completely naked around others. No swimming suites. Genders are separated and you first wash and scrub yourself then use hot tub and cold tub and sauna. People bring their own cleaning supplies , face masks and hair caps. You get 2 small towels that cannot cover you . Korean ladies were trying to explain things to us and show us what to do. It was funny very unique experience.Written April 16, 2024
- davidfM7522LN0 contributionsGreat TourI recently took the DMZ tour with my family and was thoroughly impressed. Our guide, Alfonzo was knowledgeable and provided insightful commentary throughout the journey. The lunch was a delightful surprise, offering a taste of authentic Korean barbecue. Overall, it was a well-organized and unforgettable experience that I highly recommend to anyone interested in history and culture.Written March 19, 2024
- tombO4037RZ0 contributionsGood experienceVery pleasant trip with Jimmy. Picked up with a private car from the hotel. Trip to the spot where we joined the mandatory bustrip took a bit over one hour. If you have to wait for the bus don’t hang around the place where the bus departs but walk around the peace park.Bustour with other persons to visit the DMZ and third tunnel took around three hours. During the bustrip we noticed other guides explained more than Jimmy ( in a language we didn’t understand). After the bustrip we had a nice lunch and continued to the suspension bridge where we had a nice walk. Transfer back to the hotel again in aprox. 1 1/2 hour.Written March 18, 2024
