Our tour guide, Young, was very fun and personable. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the palaces and more. I would definitely give him 5 stars. The hard sell at the ginseng museum was uncomfortable. I will not go on a another tour unless it says “no shopping”. I will gladly pay more to avoid the forced shopping.

The full day tour was excellent. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Royal Palaces and Insadong. The tour served as a great introduction to Korean history on the second day of my visit.

My sister and I booked this tour whilst we were in Seoul. As it was just the two of us that day, it became a private tour. We were picked up from our hotel by our lovely tour guide Sadie and our driver. Sadie was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about Korean history and culture. The tour also included a delicious Korean lunch All in all it was money well spent. At the end of the tour we were dropped off at our hotel. Big thank you to Sadie and our driver Eric for a great day!

I really enjoyed the tour! We were with 2 other people, so 4 people in total! Sooyeon was really nice and her english was really great. She knew a lot and you could see that she was proud to be a Seoul citizen. It was really hot, so it was really great that she gave us some ice packs! I don't have a lot to say, but I really enjoyed it. I ate really well and saw a lot.
What I didn't like, was that you didn't have much free time to walk around, but the rest was great.
I wish her the best:)

Very nice driver and thoughtful tour guide. Always making sure we were kept warm while waiting. Making sure we could make it for the guard changing ceremony. However if we were given more knowledge on the historical and cultural information especially at the museum would be awesome...

We had a private tour as no one else had booked it. Peter, our guide was very knowledgeable and his English was really good so we could understand what he was saying. We felt we would have liked to have seen a bit more of the Korean folk museum but on the whole had time to see most places without being hurried. The lunch was really good and we were guided by Peter on what to choose.!
We didn't visit the ginseng place as we had been there the day before. The driver..sorry can't remember his name , was efficient and didn't keep us waiting too long to pick us up on the way round. Lovely comfortable car. Picked and dropped us off at our hotel.
Would recommend this tour to anyone who's interested in Seoul history. Probably possible to do it yourself but then you wouldn't get to know what you were looking at !!!!
Thanks to Peter we had a lovely but cold day !!!

Ours was a private tour that started with a visit to the Jogyesa, a serene Buddhist temple located in the heart of Seoul and finished with a walk thru the hectic streets and alleys of the Namdaemon market area. In between there was a stop at the scenic grounds of the National Folk Museum - home of the Gwanghwamun Gate & Palace from the Joseon dynasty. Next up was a quick visit to the Korean Ginseng Center, after which we wandered the streets of Insadong and also ate a delicious Korean lunch there. After lunch we were off to the quaint and quiet Bukchon Hanok village, an area of old homes situated on narrow streets.

Jake, our guide, did a great job of explaining everything. Thanks to him, we ended the day with a much better understanding and appreciation of Korean history and culture.

Our party of 4 toured with a couple from Europe and a father/son pair from Canada. Miss Shiny was our very talented tour guide. The tour minibus was very comfortable and mercifully air-conditioned. Unfortunately, the day of our tour landed on one of the hottest days of the summer, hitting 99 degrees F! The changing of the guards was an unexpected highlight but we practically melted in the direct sun. Miss Shiny did her very best to find shady spots for us to hear her explanations, which were very detailed. The tour does entail considerable walking, requiring solid shoes and some fitness. Not recommended for seniors, young kids, or teens who are not particularly interested in history. Highly recommended for history buffs and those who want to visit several historically significant sites in one day.
