What to Expect
Start your tour in the evening near Anguk Subway Station in central Seoul, then head into the bustling streets of Nagwon-dong. With your guide to lead the way, step off the tourist trail and savor the flavors popular among Seoulites. In your small group—limited to 12 people—visit outlets and street food stalls, and sample tasty treats such as kimchi (fermented cabbage), and Korean barbecue. Along the way, listen as your guide sheds light on the role food plays in South Korean culture. Sample savory pancakes at a shijang (traditional flea market), and taste popular Korean alcoholic beverages including makgeolli and soju. Afterward, head on to the bustling Jongno district to conclude your tour among newfound friends in the neighborhood bars.
