Stop At: VELLINO Wine Cellar, 39th St. 11, Kakabeti 3807 Georgia

Our first Organic winery is called Vellino. A young and superbly successful wine maker Beka will lead us into his lovely wine cellar. He tries to maintain the ancient traditions of Georgian wine making and does not hesitate to catch up new trends! Which gives us opportunity to taste and feel the flavor of the oldest Georgian traditions in every glass of his wine! His wine has been awarded with Silver and Golden medals in a row at wine exhibitions in London! We are extremely proud by co-operating with Vellino Wines!

We will visit a local bakery, where you will have an opportunity to bake the Georgian bread with a crispy crust “Shotis Puri” by yourself which is baked vertically in a sunken stone oven “Tone” and taste it with some delicious local cheese.

One curiosity of this city is that the wedding house works 24 hours and many tourists got married in Sighnaghi. Stop At: Shumi Winery, Village Tsinandali, Kakheti, Georgia, Tsinandali 2217 Georgia

After lunch we will have one more stop and taste wine at “Shumi”. “Wine company SHUMI” is one of the leaders among producers of high quality Georgian wines. In ancient Georgia, The world “Shumi” meant genuine, undiluted wine. It has long since been used as a defining term for the best wine. The logo of the company is a griffin (“Phaskunji” in Georgian mythology), which according to an ancient legend, brought the very first brunch of grapes to the people. It was from these grapes that people started growing wines on Earth.

The main advantage if the “Wine company SHUMI” is a full circle of production in a so called “closed cycle”, implying all stages of wine-making, from growing and harvesting grapes to producing and bottling finished wine in brand-name bottles and realizing it through distinguished trading outlets with impeccable reputation.

“SHUMI” produces almost all types of Georgian wine from the high quality category list (analogous to Bordeaux wine AOC). In addition, the company uses its unique technology to produce “lori” brandy, “Kahetian Chacha” and “Kahetian Chacha special” grape grappas aged in oak barrels, an organic (bio) wine and an original, natural beverage made by excusive technology, named “Zigu”.
