NEVER MAKE AN UNCONFIRMED BOOKING WITH THIS COMPANY THEY DO NOT REFUND DEPOSIT
After inquiring with this company about if they would be running their Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia Tour (7 days) in October I was informed that I should book it and pay the deposit and if it wasn't going to run, they would refund the deposit. The tour did not run and after requesting for many months for the deposit to be returned they still have not done this quoting that it was high season, and they have been too busy... this is completely unprofessional I would advise that you DONOT ever prebook anything with them.

A great experience where Europe meets Asia !
My wife and I booked a tour to Georgia and Armenia, with an added trip to Batumi and we had an amazing experience. Nino, who was our main contact, was extremely efficient and when a couple of things went wrong (not the fault of Sakura) she acted swiftly to resolve the situation. I would thoroughly recommend Sakura if you are thinking about a holiday in Georgia, Armenia, or Azerbaijan. The level of service that we experienced in Georgia and Armenia was great. Good food and drink, as well as professional tour guides in both countries.

South Caucasus tour - Azerbaijan/Georgia/Armenia 12 days tour
This was quite an intensive tour, we visited a lot of places in just 11 days. Our driver/guides in Azerbaijan (guide Kamil and driver Elcin), in Georgia (driver-guide Giorgi), and in Armenia (driver-guide Haik) were all very nice people. We had a lot of fun with them. We get to see beautiful scenery in all 3 countries, tasted authentic and tasty food, and drank a copious amount of fine wine. We stayed in Azerbaijan for 3 nights but the first day was without schedule, really wish there was a full 3-4 days program in this country (especially in Baku), this was the only pity. We stayed 2 extra nights in Georgia possibly because this was a Georgian tour company. Be mindful you will spend quite a bit of time in the car traveling in all the countries so be prepared for the thrilling drives, or take motion sickness medicine. Nino from Sakura tour agency was very helpful months before our tour began and had patiently answered all of our questions. Thank you for this unforgettable experience!

          Baku to Batumi
When I planned my solo trip Baku to Istanbul, I contacted several travel agencies. Nino from Sakura Travel responded swiftly and efficiently, so I engaged her to organize the Baku-Batumi part. I spent 30 days traveling through Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and Georgia again. The whole tour was well organized, in a comfortable van with excellent drivers and guides at all locations. I could not fault it and would gladly recommend Sakura to anybody wanting to explore the beautiful region of Caucasus.

Reasonable tour for a reasonable price
Last month, I went on a 12 days group tour of the Caucasus, organized by Sakura Georgia. Overall, it was a good tour, although there were some hiccups here and there. I travelled solo and was joined with other travellers from other countries in a group of five tourists with one local guide and one local driver. My booking agent was Nino, whilst she did provide replies to my queries, her replies can be more prompt and quicker. Also, some sights in the original itinerary were reduced (and I was not told about it beforehand), but it was fixed thereafter. As for the tour, most sights were visited. Although some were not covered due to lack of time or under renovation or just missed out.. Alternative or replacement sights for places of attractions under renovation should rightfully be provided or travellers should be informed in advance and not be disappointed Some of the sights not covered were Sheki History Museum (in Azerbaijan), National Museum of Georgia, Lake Parz and Deer Farm (in Armenia). Also, one of the lunch in Armenia was supposed to be an "open-air lunch at one of restaurants located just in Hrazdan River gorge", but a normal lunch in a normal restaurant room was provided. In Azerbaijan, my guide was a young man named Kanat. He was an average guide, albeit not particularly memorable. He was knowledgeable about the sights but did not really share much beyond what he was required to do - typical information that is readily available in a Lonely Planet guidebook. His photography skills could be improved. On the last day, he tried to help me with my luggage but broke the luggage handle... The Azeri driver was quiet and unmemorable (I cannot remember his name). In Georgia, my guide a young man named Gela. He was a great guide, definitely the best amongst three guides I had in the three countries. He was effusive and communicative and willing to speak his mind and offer his perspectives of things in Georgia, and the Caucasus countries and the region in general. Beyond the explanation of the various places of attractions we visited in Georgia, we had many interesting conversations about Georgia and the region, and there was never a boring moment! Gela also had good photography skills, brought us to a great place to exchange money and buy sim card. Gela clearly valued-added as a tour guide (and provided information and help beyond a Lonely Planet Guidebook). Well done! The driver Giorgi was also conversant and communicative. He shared that he held another job as a rugby coach and we also had many interesting conversations together. Kudos to Giorgi too! In Armenia, my guide was a middle-aged lady named Lilit. I felt she was distracted and was often on her phone, speaking and walking far ahead of the group (sometimes leaving us behind). I am not sure if it was because there was an ongoing war in Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh or just her personality. Also, her voice is too soft and often, I cannot really hear what she is saying clearly. I also felt a tinge of racism from her, she seems to care more about the White tourists in the group than the non-White tourists like myself. The Armenian driver was quiet and unmemorable (I cannot remember his name). Needless to say, amongst the three guides, from best to worst, it would be Gela > Kanat > Lilit. Amongst the three drivers, it would be Giorgi > Azeri = Armenian. Overall, the cost of the tour is reasonable. They required full payment upfront but you get a discount if you booked via their website directly. It was half-board and covered all three Southern Caucasus countries and the main places of attractions in all three countries. The guides/drivers were of varying quality (with the best being from Georgia), perhaps due to the fact (or a mere coincidence) that the travel agency is also based in Georgia so they had better quality control over the guides/drivers locally Communication from Sakura travel agency could be more prompt and quicker. But still, it was a reasonable tour for a reasonable price, so I will give it 4/5 stars.

          Certainly evocative of the past.
Monasteries are some of the mist significant sights in Georgia. This sixth Ventura building honours where Saint Nino converted the country to Christianity sometime in the 500s.

          Very nice experience!
We loved almost everything. But try to find another hotel in Yerevan! Our hotel wasn't very good (they never cleaned the room or changed the towels or sheets...)

Visit Gorgeous Georgi with Sakura Travel!
My husband and I booked a ten-day, best of Georgia tour with Sakura in June and just returned from our trip in early October. Every minute was spectacular. First, the folks at Sakura were always quick to respond and answered all of my questions kindly and thoroughly. I could not have been more pleased with their correspondence. Second, our guide Lela was very knowledgeable, kind, and most of all - caring. She went above and beyond to make sure that we experienced everything Georgia had to offer, while always checking to see if we felt safe and comfortable. She is a gem and Sakura is very lucky to have her. Third, our driver Levan was very nice, helpful, and careful. He drove fast at times, but was always safe. Finally, the country is a masterpiece. We were so lucky to be able to see so much, thanks to the team at Sakura. We are already thinking about when we can return, especially to the Svaneti region in the Caucasus, which was breathtaking.

          Outstanding
I had taken the 12 day tour of Azerbaijan,Armenia and Georgia with Sakura LLC in September/October of 2021 and it was absolutely amazing. I had traveled solo and there was another couple on the tour with me. The itinerary was excellent - along with the general sightseeing we also got to visit the brandy factory in Yerevan, Armenia and wine tasting in Georgia. The guides in all the places were well informed and excellent. The meals that were included were also superb. I highly recommend this tour. I would love to give it more than five stars!

One of the best tours in Batumi
We really enjoyed our trip, guide was kind, experienced and had great knowledge about the region. We specifically liked the waterfall and small stops to check out the monuments. I would highly recommend this trip

          Great trip!
Our "8 days cultural and trekking trip in Georgia" was a really great experience. Very professionally prepared from the very beginning. But the best was the team we traveled with. Our guide Mariam not only knew the history and customs of Georgia, she was also able to show us a good restaurant with Georgian cuisine or good wine. She was also a great mountain guide during trekkings. Our driver Tengo was also a fully professional, which is very important on Georgian roads. It was a great and safe trip!

          Wonders of Georgia
Our 10-day tour, "Wonders of Georgia", with Sukura was definitely a highlight and we will highly recommend you to anyone. We enjoyed the company of Gela for the first two days and then Saba and Kote were superb company when we travelled out of Tbilisi. They were knowledgeable about the historical places we visited, listened to our comments on what we liked to do and see, took us to great places to try local food and they both made our holiday very special, memorable and fun. We have been on many tours before where the guides and drivers were nowhere close to being as good as Saba and Kote. Thank you SO much for a fabulous holiday. Deb & Gary
