About
Georgia is an exciting destination for photographers, boasting stunning landscapes and beautiful but dated architecture and delicious food that caters to all tastes and palates. At the country’s heart is Tbilisi, the capital. My one-day walking tours are designed for people that would love to discover some of the city’s hidden architectural gems during their trip or holiday. We start around the streets of Tbilisi, where we visit the old town and as many of the interior spaces that are currently available. Later we visit a stunning ex-Soviet theatre (as featured in the cover photo). Taking the time to pick out compositions and unique angles. During the day we take the time to talk about your photography or capturing better travel and city imagery during your trips. We also talk about post processing (if this is required) over the included lunch. We also visit another theatre and complete the day with a sunset over the city from a unique spot.

A magnificent look into another era
We toured the country of Georgia with James. Never would we have been able to see such stunning architecture and learn about the history of this fascinating part of the world. Without a doubt I am planning to return for another bespoke tour with James in 2022.

I can't recommend this day trip with James highly enough. I've always had a strong interest in the aesthetic of old and derelict architecture, and delivered that in spades, and a LOT more! The ex-Soviet Theatre was stunning, but my favourite shot of the day was probably the attached one of a beautiful old staircase in an apartment building which was completely off the beaten track. James' enthusiasm is infectious, and he will instantly put you at ease, and provide any help or advice you need to improve your own photography knowledge and skills. Thanks a million James!

One of the biggest benefits of going on a tour with James is that you'll visit places you never would have found or had access to on your own. This is especially true if you're pressed for time.

James has lived in Georgia, done multiple scouting trips and made contacts with locals that allow him exclusive access to some truly beautiful locations! And he's an excellent photographer with knowledge to share!

This tour of Tbilisi is the perfect way to deep dive into photography while also getting the vibe of this small and wonderful place in the process. Walking around the old town, thanks to James’ knowledge of the city, you'll get access to private, hidden and secret locations that everything about the architecture, the people and the culture of the capital. A day well spent, a different way to visit that will leave you great memories, stunning pictures (well, that depends a bit on your abilities as a photographer, tho) and a rare sense of satisfaction. Well done, James. Thanks for setting up this opportunity.

Even for someone that travels often and is used to wandering into random buildings, this tour was fantastic. James knows Tbilisi really well, incl. its complex and fascinating past, and his local knowledge and insight allowed me to glimpse facets of the city that I would have never discovered on my own.
But above all, James is a great photographer with an eye for special details and interesting angles - and with an insane amount of patience when it comes to explaining technical details and photography theory! Thanks again James, it was ace!
