About
One of the ancient countries with thousands of years of cultural traditions and heritages offers visitors an unique experience and adventure. Georgia has been the silk road country and the fact that it is located on the edge of the Europe and Asia means that Georgian culture, cousine and everything else is the best blend of several civilizations with local, indigenous culture. Our roundtrip Georgia tour starts in the capital city, continues in the oldest winemaking region – Kakheti. After degustation of Georgian wines, you will travel to Mtskheta, an ancient capital of Georgia, and then to mountainous town Kazbegi. After mountains, travel to the 1st Millenia BC and explore carved caves of Uplistsikhe. You will also take a tour in Western Georgia, visit Kutaisi and UNESCO World heritage monuments as well as Martvili and Okatse Canyons. The roundtrip tour’s last destination region is Samtskhe-Javakheti where you will enjoy with medieval fortresses, castles and cave monasteries.

The breathtaking landscapes, with their magical beauty, left me in awe at every turn. The local food was delicious, adding to the authenticity of the experience. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly helpful, making the trip both informative and enjoyable. I met amazing, like-minded people who share my passion for the mountains, and together we made memories I will cherish forever. I wouldn’t hesitate to redo this exact trip—every moment was a joy. - jeffpM122LV0 contributionsSpectacular Four Days in SvanetiOur four-person group had an incredible mid-June hike in Svaneti with our guide Giorgi. He was knowledgeable, friendly, spoke excellent English, and hospitable throughout the entire trek. TrekGeorgia did a great job with all of the logistics, kept us well-informed, and arranged wonderful homestays for each night. We highly recommend the experience to anyone visiting the region.Written June 23, 2024

- danieltM6146DG0 contributionsAmazing experience in late aprilWe had great weather, a great guide and three wonderful days around Kazbegi. April is actually not the best weather for hiking but we were really lucky. Only on the last day we had a bit of rain in the last few minutes. Dito, our guide, took care of everything and we had really great accommodation.Written May 8, 2024
- slquek0 contributionsMestia/Ushguli TrekWe did the 6-day Mestia-Ushguli trek but opted to stay 3 days in Mestia and 2 days in Ushguli. Instead of trekking to Ushguli from Mestia, we did 'day treks' from Mestia and Ushguli. We not only visited the major 'highlights' of Ushba Waterfall, Koruldi Waterfall, Chkhutnieri Pass, Sakhara Glacier and Chalaadi Glacier, Dito (can't ask for a better driver/guide) also took my kids and climbed a couple of the peaks near Mestia and Ushguli. Everything went smoothly and there is no issue at all (the autumn colours is a bonus!). I have no qualms about recommending TrekGeorgia.Written October 29, 2023
- BabocaNYC0 contributionsThe most memorable tripThe most memorable and best trip we did in Georgia! Ditto was the best guide / driver we could ask for. We would honestly do any and every trip by Trek Georgia. The homestay was also great and the food absolutely delicious. Thank you for a fantastic trip! We will be back.Written October 25, 2023
- wilmag5930 contributionsGergeti Glacier is a must!We loved the Gergeti Glacier hike and we could not have wished for a better guide for this trip. The perfect combination of incredible hiking, great food, and laughter! The day started off with some clouds in the morning, but just as we got up to the glacier, the clouds parted and we got an awe-inspiring glimpse of Mount Kazbeg. I'd also highly recommend a brief stop at Alihut on the way down. Great atmosphere!Written October 13, 2023
- wilmag5930 contributionsAn experience of a life-time!If you want to experience the real Georgia, then Trek Georgia is the way to explore. The remote villages and mountains in Tusheti were pristine and we loved the hiking, but the highlight was the warmth of the people and the incredibly delicious food (and the cha cha). We had the perfect guide. An expert hiker who was very focused on our safety at all times, and he also gave us insights to the Georgian culture which made us fall in love with the country and its people. It was an experience of a life-time! Highly, highly recommended.Written October 13, 2023
- W7062WImarks0 contributionsA wonderful experience all around! We did the 6-day Mestia to Ushguli trek and it was truly an excellent experience. I had been wanting to do something like this for years, and TrekGeorgia did not disappoint. The hiking was a lot of fun, the views were incredible, the villages were beautiful and had so much history, the guest houses were great and our hosts were friendly and accommodating, and we ate so much amazing food. Also, our guide, Dito, was the best! I absolutely recommend TrekGeorgia as they took care of everything and allowed us to just focus on the experience.Written October 11, 2023
- RPHK0 contributionsFantastic Horse Trekking Experience in TushetiOne week horse trekking in Tusheti - private tour with a friend. The trip was easy to organise through Dmitri. The guide, Tina, is a Tusheti local and it was a very special experience exploring the region with her - she explained history, culture and customs in as much detail as you'd like and is a fantastic host. The horses are forward going, but very good natured and the terrain and route has something to suit all riders. We have done several horse treks in different parts of the world - this was a very special experience and I'd highly recommend.Written September 20, 2023

Thanks to Dimitri, a fantastic trip was planned which showed us the variety of landscape, history, culture and food/wine to be found in Georgia. We explored, trekked, tasted and did hands on cooking activities which were all very well organised and top quality - as well as fun. Our guides were highly educated, caring people - always punctual, well-organised and so helpful. Thanks Kate for your kindness and environmental conscience, your intelligence and passion for your beautiful country. Thanks George for your comprehensive knowledge and interest in us, not to mention your excellent driving skills and attitude. Thanks Natalie for your intelligent, relaxed guiding and very considerate care of us when trekking the mountains. Accommodation was always good - and varied, from guest house in the mountains to a new resort or luxury hotel by the Black Sea. I can highly recommend this very well-planned tour and the fascinating little country of Georgia. Go before the crowds find this gem !

We were two Irish hillwalkers on our first trip to the Caucasus. Dito was the salt of the earth, a wonderful host, a great guide and the best travelling companion anyone could wish to have in Georgia. We walked in Kazbegi and Svaneti and also took some time in Tbilisi and David Gareja monastery too. Because we visited early in the year (May 24 - June 6) the walks all turned around once we hit the snowline as none of the higher passes such as the Guli Pass in Svaneti were open. We would love to return and walk in the areas we did not visit this time such as Tusheti, Khevsureti and Ratcha. This time the highlights for me were Skhara glacier and the Koruldi lakes. The food, the traditional entertainment, the mountain drives all contributed to making this a very memorable and worthwhile experience. I highly commend Trek Georgia for their professionalism, spontaneity and flexibility.

Dimitri could not have been more helpful with our planning and initial variations to our trip. Pickup was always on time. Our first guide Kate and driver George were first rate. Kate is extremely knowledgeable and George also fluent in English and a very safe driver. Both have masters degrees. Sampled lovely wines, visited monastery, cave city. Kazbegi was the highlight of our trip. Our guide Natalie escorted our hikes keeping us safe at all times. Unfortunately driver did not speak English so no communication with him which was disappointing.
Would liked to have had better planned coffee/toilet stops with second guide but can understand she may have wanted to be more flexible and leave it to us however with no local knowledge we may have missed better places than we stopped at.
A wonderful experience with lovely guides showing us the beauty of Georgia and exploring its history.

Thank you so much for your lovely words. You were great guests and one the positive and cheerful guests that we ever had. Wish your positiveness would spread from the area from Australia to Georgia.
