- tikicici20 contributionsMetsheta- Massive Religous Unesco Site complex only 1h from Tbilisi.Mtskheta is a city in the region of Mtskheta-Mtianeti, is like 1h each way from Tbilisi. We used BOLT for a round trip. Amazing UNESCO complex with the Monastery city center complex has the central cathedral that is massive. there are amazing paintings on the columns and the pulpit. there are glass windows that showed the original structure. there is an ICON in a niche on a wall that is very impressive. the Holy Icons in this church are big, including one that is (36x60") in size. In the entrance of town, there is a medieval complex with restaurant and shops. The complex is very well decorated by massive fortified walls.Written June 28, 2024

- 84bhavyad0 contributionsOne of the best experiences everOne of the best experiences ever. I booked the tour from Tbilisi to Kazbegi, my tour guide was Rati and David was the driver. both of them made it absolutely memorable for me. Rati was incredibly knowledgeable and a great company to have. one of my highlights of my trip to georgia was the khinkali master class, the locals were so loving and welcoming. the place ofcourse was beautiful and the tour was very well planned. rati even helped take my pictures, which was so nice as I was a solo traveller. i felt very safe and happy, it was all in all one of the best experiences ever.Written May 18, 2021
- Sharon P0 contributionsBrilliant walking tour of TblisiWhat an amazing tour. My husband and I met at their office and we were welcomed by the team and offered a glass of famous Georgian wine. Our 'Get your Guide' guide, Tico was very knowledgeable and friendly. Her English was exceptional and she explained all the history of the sights we visited. There was time to stop for photo's and take in the various views of the city. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves finding out local history and want to know more about the city. It was a great introduction to Tblisi and I would take it at the start of your trip. We met some lovely people from around the worl in our small group. Our trip finished at a craft wine bar/shop and we learnt about why wine is important to Geogians and got to taste many too. It was a pleasure to listen to it explained so passionately. Dress for the weather and wear comfy shoes!Written February 1, 2020
- yanasmirnova70 contributionsA day full of wine, beautiful places and storiesSuch an original tour where you meet local Georgian people in their wineries and experience the famous Georgian hosptality. We had a ride through a beautiful region of Kakheti together with trying so many different types of wines and chachas. And the lunch we had in one on the wine yards was fresh and delicious homemade Georgian cuisine! Our guide Zura was opened and welcoming answering every small question and telling interesting stories. The tour was comfortable as we were driving in a new car and in the end were brought directly to our hotel. This was a great and fun trip to get to know Georgia, very much recommendedWritten January 11, 2020
- Kiwistraveling0 contributionsDavid Gareja Monastries day tripThis day trip was so worthwhile. Our guide Zura was ready and waiting for us in the reception of our hotel as promised. He was very personable and spoke excellent English. We were able to ask him anything He was not only very knowledgeable he was also an excellent listener and clearly very intelligent. Our driver Acho made the long trip comfortable. He navigated poor roads and pot holes and other drivers with experienced competence. We enjoyed visiting and learning about the monasteries and Zura’s respect and knowledge of the monks and their lifestyle made our visits so much more meaningful. We enjoyed a hike up and over the rainbow hills. It was great to stretch our legs and experience the vastness of the terrain. By the time we got to the village where they made bread many had finished for the day however Zura found one still baking. We all had a go and made traditional bread.... then we enjoyed eating it!! With the salty cheese the hot bread we’d made was especially good! The last monastery and the city of love were very pretty and we particularly enjoyed the panoramic views of the Caucas mountains which were snow capped at the time. Zura and Acho were a great team and did so much to make the experience enjoyable for us. We can not recommend them highly enough.Written December 7, 2019

- craig4830 contributionsWinter WineA very different experience from traditional European wine tasting sessions we have done in the past. This was a far more intimate and informative look into organic and traditional production methods on a non commercial level in the Kakheti region. From learning about how the clay fermentation vessels - Qvevri - are made to meeting the families that produce some fantastic and unique wines it a far more enjoyable experience to those we have been on previously. The wine makers were welcoming and more than happy to tell you everything about their wine with a passion. Each producer we visited were hospitable and offered several glasses of wine to taste and enjoy. Most sessions ended in a toast where we were offered Chacha, this is the local hard liquor similar in taste to a mild brandy. Beware some are double or triple distilled so can reach a chest warming 70% alcohol content. A hearty lunch was provided at the third vineyard which was an excellent offering of local dishes accompanied be their wine offering all of which were excellent. Our guide Zura was very accommodating and did well to decipher and translate our questions after we had several glasses of wine! The tour was well coordinated and ran as planned. Zura was also more than happy to offer suggestions for restaurants and other experiences within Tbilisi and the wider region. At each vineyard there is an opportunity to purchase wine made on smaller scale not readily available elsewhere. Expect to pay 35 - 40 Lari for a bottle so very much a worthwhile investment. We took this tour on our first day in Georgia and it was a fantastic introduction to the people, their culture and the country as a whole, we would highly recommend it.Written December 1, 2019
- LeaInGeorgia0 contributionsAmazing Wine Tasting! It was a unique experience! Choosing Zura's tour was the best thing I could do. I learned a lot about the Georgian way of making wine. There were also many different wines and chachas to try. We had a really nice atmosphere with a lot of fun. The winegrowers were hospitable and it was nice to see such small wineries. The lunch was also super delicious and we could sit outside in the sun. little hint: If you want to drink each glass empty you should not have so many plans for the evening anymore :DWritten November 29, 2019
- Vivi N0 contributionsAmazingOne of the best tours ever!! Enjoyed the view of sunrise with no other tourists around so much. Great light, silence, historical view! Our driver, david, drove us safe even on the sometimes bumpy roads and our tour guide, zurab, shared lots of interesting stories.Written October 19, 2019
- LeaInGeorgia0 contributionsIncredible TimeI really enjoyed my time in the semi-desert. Watching the sunrise was amazing! We had the place on our own so we could just enjoy the nature. It's worth getting up early. Walking through the Rainbow Hills was also great, there are unique views! The guide called Zura is awesome and it's fun to spend time with him. I would always participate the tour again :)Written October 17, 2019

- nikitaiwanow0 contributionsA perfect dayIt was big pleasure to take this tour! We visited several wineries, enjoyed beautiful landscapes of Kakheti, had amazing lunch in the vineyards and took part in collecting grapes. After this tour you will get understanding about Georgian winemaking and traditions connected with it. We had chance to try very different types of local wine and see how and where grapes grow. The guide is a professional with a lot of knowledge about local winemaking and local culture. We also met local winemakers and our guide helped us to communicate with them and translated our questions. Highly recommend!Written September 6, 2019
- Pannita L0 contributionsMost brilliant!!!!Nikita went above and beyond my expectations!! Although for some unfortunate reason we didn’t get on the cabin Nikita managed to find a more interesting walking course for me. We went through hidden alleys, secret doorways, observing the locals in the neighbourhood and Nikita always filled me in with all these amazing Georgian histories and facts. The long walk seems rather short when you’re having so much fun.Written August 13, 2019

We had a fabulous two week trip to Kenya in September 2024, led by David Kalama. This is the 4th time we have traveled with David and were proud to share our love of Africa with two other couples. He is fun, knowledgeable and passionate about his homeland and every day is a new adventure with loads of fun, interesting facts, and first class accommodations and meals in the heart of everywhere he leads you to.

Glad to hear you had nice experiences. Unfortunately review written in wrong place. Our tours are in Georgia and other two states in Caucasus, this is only our tour’s geography areas. Highly recommended to find agency who deserve this 5 star review from you.

Definitely a very worthy investment. I was very happy to have been advised by Zurab (the guide) to wake up early for the sunrise.
Im not an early riser in general so it was not easy but it was totally worth it.
The drive is friendly and you will reach in maximum 2 hours to the location.
Everything was a surprise for me, I think I should have asked Zurab more questions before because the trip requires a lot of hiking uphill and walking and I wasn't prepared for it. I advise you to wear very comfortable shoes and clothes.
Regardless of the fact that I was not in a good shape at all, and it was very difficult for me to hike, especially the first 20 minutes... I can say I was super happy i did it. The views from the top cant be compared with anything. Totally beautiful, peaceful.
The idea of going early for the sunrise view was great, but also because we were literally the only 3 people in the entire mountain. It was amazing. One of the best experiences ever.
On another note, Zurab is fantastic. Very knowledgeable, passionate about history and his country and also very caring and attentive. The hike had parts that could be considered a little dangerous and he made me feel very safe and looked after. I found that SUPER! Zurab came with Jaba who was driving us. And he was no short of amazing either, he was very caring and helpful especially on the difficult parts of the hike.
Once you reach the top the hike becomes very friendly and Zurab will take you to see the caves and paintings which is really something espectacular, especially because the stories he will share about them are very interesting.
The views over Azerbajan are incredible too...
This trip is a must, and going with Zurab is a must too... im sure he is not like any other guide... he will make sure to make you feel like a VIP and he will prepare everyting especially for you... he is a great photographer too so you will come back with unique pictures!!
Dont let the hike scare you.... its worth it!
