Enjoy personalized attention and the ability to travel at your own pace while exploring Gudauri and Kazbegi on this private tour from Tbilisi. Additionally, visit the 11th-century Svetitskhoveli cathedral and the 6th-century Jvari monastery in Mtskheta, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Other highlights include Gergeti Trinity Church, Ananuri Fortress, and Jinvali Water Reservoir, among others. Refuel midday with a typical Georgian lunch in a Kazbegi hotel.
What to Expect
Kickoff your 10-11 hour day trip with hotel pickup from anywhere in Tbilisi. Visit the ancient capital of Georgia Mtskheta and the Svetitskhoveli cathedral (XI c . UNESCO sight) (45 minutes). Afterwards, you will have the chance to visit Jvari monastery (VI c. UNESCO sight) and enjoy a wonderful panorama over the ancient capital (30 minutes).

Moving forward, you will drive through Georgian military road towards Kazbegi/Stepantsminda. On the way you will visit Ananuri fortress on Jinvali dam (30 minutes). Pass by Gudauri Ski Resort, Georgian Russian as  called "friendship" monument, Cross Pass, and Kazbegi. Enjoy lunch on a wonderful terrace at Rooms Hotel Kazbegi, which overlooks the glacier Kazbegi (5,047 mt ASL) (1 hour). Upon finishing, travel via a 4x4 vehicle towards the Trinity Monastery at 2,200 mt above sea level. Venturing up and down and site will last approximately 2-hours. Your day trip will conclude with drop-off back at your hotel. Please note vehicles are equipped with free WiFi, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit. The drivers/guides have also passed advanced first aid training courses.
