Full Day Private Wine Tour in Kakheti Region with Lunch and 3 Wine Tastings

The tour will be held in Kakheti region, main wine producing region of the country and will last for circa 9-10 hrs. Includes 3 tastings at different wineries (organic, family, conventional) and a lunch. During this experience you will sample unique Georgian red and white varieties of wines produced according to the Georgian clay vessel "Qvevri" technology. First stop will be offered in village Badiauri to taste fresh-baked Georgian bread directly from bakery paired with local cheese. Next stop will be in unique fortified town of Love Sighnaghi. Stroll through narrow cobble stone streets of town ending the visit of Sighnaghi with tasting of 3 type of wines and Chacha (Georgian grape Vodka) at Okros organic winery. Followed by lunch at family winery and 3rd tasting in underground tunnel of former bomb shelter of Khareba winery. You will prepare by yourself traditional Georgian dessert Churchkhela.
Overnight in Kakheti is possible upon request.

What to Expect
Depart from you Tbilisi hotel in a private vehicle for a full-day wine tour. On your way to Kakheti, pause to  taste fresh-baked Georgian bread and local cheese. Visit the town of Sighnaghi and take in views of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains. Go to a tasting at a boutique winery with all-natural wines, and sample three varieties along with the local liquor chacha. Enjoy lunch and homemade red and white wine in a family-owned museum and wine cellar. Continue to another wine tasting in a former bomb shelter, where you can sample two wines and try the traditional Georgian dessert churchkhela. On your way back, pass the 16th-century Gremi monastery complex and visit if you wish. At the end of the day, return to Tbilisi through the Gombori pass.
