Definitely the best money I spent in Georgia! Our guide Tsotne Japaridze made us feel at home the whole day, we eat food from high scale restaurant and also from people that make bread and cheese at the side of the road. the wine selection was amazing, the host had the courtesy to send us pictures he took during the trip, even knowing we took our pictures. Very well explained, we never felt forced to buy anything, just enjoy our day. We took this tour in February 2018. Me and my husband still remember our day together in Kakheti as one of the peaks of our life together. Thank you Tsotne!

Amazing, well-though and unforgettable experience! This is really something worth doing without even giving it much further thought.

The guide Oto and the driver accompanying him were super friendly, nice, polite and helpful. It’s is important to know that you are safe while driving on the narrow mountain roads, and this is exactly what we felt on this tour! Oto was incredibly social and knowledgeable in all spheres of social, cultural and historical life of Georgia. Like a walking encyclopedia) we learned so much about the life of the country nowadays and its past.

The tour went far beyond our expectations: it was a wine tour indeed without unnecessary city excursions and waste of time on unrelated things.

We started with a breakfast stop for freshly baked bread and home made cheese in one of the villages on the way to Khaheti. Then arrived at a local family run winery where we tasted organic wine! And it was woooowwwwwwww!!!!! Best we ever tried! With a detailed presentation by one of the winery owners.

Then we moved to a Georgian household for home made wine and lunch! Fantastic!

Ended up at a bunker factory for the final tasting!

Absolutely loved it!

Thanks!

The trip was so good that even writing the review gets me excited again.I choose this private tour for my partner and I to celebrate my birthday and I have to say that it was a great choice. The communication, pick up, location selection to show a variety of wine and guide knowledge was impecable. But what made this a truly memorable experience was the warmth and friendliness of our guide Kakha. He made us feel like we came to visit an old friend or a familly member. The highlight of the trip was the lunch experience, surrounded by the hosts genuine hospitality and incredible food. Getting together around the table with another couple and their guide (from the same company,David) allowed us to experience a glimpse of what a supra may be.By the end of the tour...we felt like familly.
We both would be happy to take the tour again just to meet everyone a second time like David said: First time as guests, second time as friends

Our guides Saku and Tsotne were excellent, really knowledgeable, friendly and the tour they have cultivated gave us a rounded insight into the region and the differences between boutique, local and factory wine making.

The views, the welcoming and friendly hosts and the Family lunch at Vaxo’s were all phenomenal.

Our driver / guide stopped off to allow us time to soak up the views and highlights along the way.

We would all highly recommend Traffic Travel for this tour and we wouldn’t think twice about using them again for tours when we come back to Georgia.

We have nothing but praises with Tsotne who was our guide and owner of Traffic Travel. He was very responsive and gave us thorough information prior our booking. On the day of the tour, we were very impressed how well-oriented, proficient and very passionate he is in this field of work. We got fully immersed in their history, culture, FOOD, how organic Georgian wines are made, and a lot more! The itinerary was followed, as stated, in normal pacing. Each stop was unforgettable as it gave us unique experiences. We booked a private tour, yet we are so glad that we bumped into his colleague Zuka, who was also on a private tour with a sweet couple. As we have the same itinerary, both parties decided to go together in each stop. The lunch at Vakho's family winery was our top favorite! Their food was top notch! And here, when they said wine tasting, it's more than just that, so you better be prepared in this tour. :D

Overall what an amazing experience! Well recommended! Once we go back, we will definitely set a visit, this time in Tsotne's own family winery. Thank you again!

From the simple booking service, the follow up from Traffic Travel, collection / return to hotel administration was perfect. The Tour itself - EXCEPTIONAL.
The commentry, the wine, the food, the wine, the views, the wine, the knowledge, the wine the whole day is a must do experience and a will do again.
The lunch with Vahko at his family winery is worth a day alone - thank you for the hospitality.
PS did i mention the wine :-)
We shall return.
Thank you so much.

Excellent full day wine tour, inclusive of a delicious, homemade lunch with a local family (including homemade wine). We ventured out into the countryside and villages, enjoying organic wine with a view of the gorgeous Caucasus mountains. Our guide Oto was fantastic - warm, welcoming, informative, conversational - it was like traveling with a good friend. A great experience that not only touched on Georgian wine but also Georgian history and culture.

My wife and I absolutely loved our private wine tour through Kakheti. It was an incredibly fun experience from start to finish, with our guide, Kakha doing a terrific job of introducing us to Georgina wine, culture, and history along the way.

Our first stop was for fresh-baked bread and salty mountain cheese, which was a really fun introduction to the foodie element of the trip. Next was an adorable winery with a spectacular view of the surrounding town and valley, with a number of delicious wines including amber and saperavi. There was chacha too, of course, which was the beginning of a very boozy day.

Lunch was done in a local home with delicious food and plenty of wine and chacha. We really enjoyed practising our Georgian toasting skills and snapping selfies with our host. Such a fun, immersive alternative to a more commercial lunch.

Lastly, we were off to one of Kakheti's more famous wineries for a tour of their tunnel storage system and more delicious wine. We loved chatting football, Marvel, and sitcoms with our guide in between samples.

If there were two elements of the trip that didn't resonate with us 100%, it was the 'candy making masterclass' and the long drive home. The former was a two-minute side jaunt that didn't really teach us much, and I was sad that we didn't at least get to taste the local candy they had dubbed 'Georgian Snickers'. The latter was unavoidable, but just be prepared for two hours being slightly drunk in a car. Thankfully, there was plenty of water and soda to help us sober up by the time we returned to Tbilisi!

All told, it was a wonderfully fun and informative day. We tried great wines, ate delicious food, laughed a lot, and learned a lot in the process. One of the best day trips I've taken in a long while!

Dear Chris, Many thanks for such a detailed feedback, we are more than glad that you enjoyed our services, Kakha is our big asset and always does his best in order to please the guests. As we have winter period and days are short, we are not able to make additional stops on the way back, otherwise 2 more stops are offered and that makes the trip more pleasant. Thanks again and have a great time here in Georgia!

We had a superb fun day with David as our guide since he was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgable. Really appreciate the hospitality from Okro’s wine and family winery, especially the lunch with the family. Shumi winery also gave a nice different experience compared to the other two places. Will definitely recommend this trip to anyone coming to Georgia for wine tasting trip 😊

This wine tour was incredible. The stops that were chosen were very intimate and gave you a great feel of the local Georgian culture. The bread and cheese, the wineries themselves and most importantly the traditional Georgian lunch at Vajkho's family home. This was my absolute favorite part of the experience. Amazing hospitality and excellent food and wine. Our guide Kakha was super knowledgeable and engaging. Make sure you request him if you take this tour. We have another trip to Georgia planned for the summer with our family and we'll be taking this tour again.

As far as I know our tour was the first tour since the pandemic began but Kakha didn't miss a beat. Seamless experience and fantastic time!
