The audioguide played in the bus gave some informations, while the real guide seemed more oriented towards Russian speaking tourists wich were in majority. Only 1 hour they gave us to go around Mtskheta was far to little. I ended up gobbling my lunch in 15minutes not to be late for the bus.Written September 1, 2018

This is a great way to discover Tbilisi. I took the Tbilisi tour only as there were only for of us at the time so the bus didn't go to the old capital of Georgia.
The Tbilisi tour itself took about 2 hours. This is not a regular hop on hop off tour. The guide gets off the bus at certain times and points anf takes you around the station. Then you get back on the bus together and the route continues. I loved it...Our guide, Miko was absolutely nice, answered all the questions in details. Thank you!
Totally worth 25 lari
I also took my 5-year old with me so the sightseeing wasn't too exchausting for her but I also got to see the beautiful sights of Tbilisi.

This review is quite late. Just like in other countries Tbilisi has its own version of the Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour. If you are new in Tbilisi this is a great way to discover the tourist attractions at an affordable price.

I would say this was the best decision to take this tour. I join them late during the day but was accommodated by them. The guide was Natalia who could speak Russian as well as English. I was amazed by the historical places I experience during my tour. Above all, it was the guide who had full command of the history and was able to answer my unending questions about historical places. I would highly recommend their services.
Keep up the good work. All the best. Usman

Hop On, Hop Off Tour was the best experience we had in our visit to Georgia. They brought us to sights around the city of Tbilisi, along with their very good tour guide, Nata. It was an adventure for us on the second day because they made it a point that we see and experience snow for the first time in our lives! Thank you Alina for the great coordination you have made for our group. You guys did a great job, 2 thumbs up!

A friend of mine recommended Hop on Hop off to us and we were greeted by the lovely owner of the agency and their kind and patient employee, Maria, who explained all the different excursions they offered. The first day we decided to take the city tour, which was nice and of a reasonable price. We were in a bus full of Russians and our guide, Miko Shakhdinarian, was kind enough to give all the explanations in English to us, too. Also there was a voice guide in English which was very useful. Miko gave us a lot of valuable information about the old town of Tbilisi and many of the monuments. We were also very fortunate to see a baptism ceremony in the Sameba Cathedral. Miko was very professional, attentive and spoke good English.
The same day we bought a tour of Kakheti (apparently joined with a partner agency) in which the next day we visited the Boodbe Monastery, Saint Nina cathedral, one of the oldest in Georgia, the red wine factory, a stop on the road to enjoy the local bread and cheese of Kakheti, and the city of love, Signagi where we had lunch together with a group of Russians, which were amazing and very kind. This excursion couldn't have been spectacular without the brilliant, amazing, talented and very hospitable guide, Julia. She gave us so much valuable information about all the sites and cared about all the individuals in the group, specially us. We will never forget her stories and sense of humor and kind heart. I definitely recommend Hop On Hop Off to all travelers.

We bought a tour package with the Hop on Hop off bus company situated in the old city. The tour guide was amazing, I think her name was Natalia (Georgian), lovely young girl who made this tour memorable. My only problem is a wine tour for me is not going to a restaurant in the mountains and eating and drinking wine, its an actual tour of the vineyards, that is a wine tour for me. The bus driver drove like a maniac, we ended up shouting at him as he was turning around while driving to talk to the Russian tour guide, as it seems the air-conditioning was dripping from above. One of the male passengers told him to stop the bus and pull over to the side, to check what was going on. He had 2 phones, and was talking and texting while driving. Most civilized countries forbid the use of phones while driving but it seems everyone does it in Tiblisi. Extremely dangerous and putting our lives at risk. There were 23 people on this tour bus, 2 were young children. You need to advance to the 21 Century, NO using phones while driving!!

One of the biggest rip-offs we bumped into. Not surprisingly: they don't have any other proper city tours. First it costs 40 gel per person as opposed to 29 gel elsewhere that also includes both Mtskheta and Jvari. It is not exactly hop on hop off; you start the tour at Rustaveli av.52 at 10.50 am and have to stay on the bus until the entire tour ends at 16.50 pm at the same stop. There will be few stops within Tbilisi for short walks with the guide, then 30-40 min. ride to Jvari (1 hour there) and then to Mtskheta (over 1 hour). My main issue with the tour was the guide who talked mainly in Russian and Interpreted less than half of it in English. At some point one English speaking couple even left the tour half way through frustrated. The comments were insufficient, the answers to questions posed were at the very least incomplete and confusing. In the end I couldn't catch anything coherent about the the Cathedral in Mtskheta including its name; some comments kept being repeated needlessly and the others
were downright useless and had nothing to do with what is being shown. Warning: you probably won't be able to catch any lunch during the tour since it's tightly scheduled. In other words you just pay for the transportation around the limited areas of central Tbilisi, Jvari and Mtskheta (both places do not require any entrance fee). There is an
audio guide on the bus but it is barely audible (no headphones). The tour is overpriced. In addition our guide Rafael has pointed us to one of local cafes with which he apparently shares some profit from the non-suspecting tourists: after eating there I suffered from severe maldigestion. Try to avoid falling into this obvious tourist trap. There are other tours on offer for better price and better conditions.

I took this bus my first day in Tbilisi and I advise you to do so. It will just take around alomst everything in Tbilisi. It will not stop at everyplace but it will stop at the important places in my opinion. They have two kinds of trip. One only goes around Tbilisi and that costs e5 GEL and the other one goes around Mtskheta and Jvari in addition to Tblisi and that only cost 40 GEL. The diference is not much in price but it is in exoerience. I took the 40 GEL tour and it was around 5 hours. They serve water and sweet for free. We stopped four times. The first was at the clock I dunno what is name was. The second was at the Holy Trinity Church and you can have some refreshments there or even enjoy a meal near the gate of the Church. Then we stopped at Jvari and finally the lkngest stop at Mtskheta for 1 hour. Our tour guide was Nada. She was very helpful and kind person. She spoke English and Russian perfectly. One more thing, when you will go there fo not expect an office for the tour. Just stop at the place on Google maps and you will see quite a small sign indicates the place of the bhs. Wait for it and then pay on board.

This was by far the best city tour I have done. The guide was great and very knowledgeable . I was the only English speaker in the group and he made sure everything was explained and translated for me . So much more personal and informative than an open top bus with pre recorded commentary - thank you so much

I booked the tour thinking it would be the expected hop on, hop off at many spots throughout the city, with the added benefit of having a guide. It turned out to be just driving around the city with recorded commentry, passing some of the same places 3 times. Some "stops" weren't places we could get off at all. In Tbilisi we got off at 3 stops only, one of which was Europe square where we just stood on the bridge for 20 minutes while the guide talked. At the 3 stops where we could get off we were told to be back at the bus in 20-30 min. There was no water on the bus. We ran very late and only stopped somewere where there was a place to eat after 3pm.
Verdict: rather opt for the traditional hop on, hop off where you can do your own thing and actually walk around and explore.
