- hmaryc20170 contributionsGeorgian DelightsI could not recommend Taste Georgia more highly. My husband and I (Australian) travelled from Qatar to Georgia for the Eid holiday. We experienced the three day wine tour with our tour guideSophia, and our driver, Alex. The trip was fascinating, educational, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable. We learned so much in those three days and it was a privilege to spend time with Georgian people and listen to their stories, taste and learn about their ancient wine culture, and to sample the glorious Georgian food. We would do the trip again, touring some of the many different areas and sampling more delicious foods and wines. Thanks Sarah, Sophia and Alex. We had a blast!Written August 25, 2019

- Wolfpack55850 contributions3 Fantastic Tours with Taste GeorgiaWe book 3 tours with Taste Georgia, 3 day private wine tour, Kazbegi and Uplistsikhe Day Trips. Wonderful experience, Sarah Grunwald and her staff were great to work with. Sophia was our guide on all 3 tours and Alex was our driver. They did a fantastic job and we thoroughly enjoyed spending 5 days with them. The day trips were very informative and they gave us a great feel for the beautiful country of Georgia. We saw beautiful mountains, an interesting cave city and learned more about the history of Georgia with a visit to the Stalin Museum. The 3 day wine tour was planned with perfection. Gave us a wonderful taste and history of the wines from Georgia, visited a brandy distillery, learned how they make the qvevri used for wine making, visited several towns and lets not forget about the wonderful food. We stayed at the Schuchmann Wine Chateau. Great job and we loved our visit to Georgia.Written October 29, 2018
- 405suet0 contributionsGreat small group trip to GeorgiaTaste Georgia organised a fabulous trip for our small group. We visited winemakers small and large and also got to visit a qvevri maker. The programme had great variety and was efficiently organised. Guides were personable and made the trip really special. It was my first visit to the country and was a great introduction to the food, culture and wine. Would definitely use them again if went back.Written June 26, 2018
- Bene_Rgt0 contributionsIn love with Georgia !I loved every bit of Georgia: the wine, the food, the people, the culture and Taste Georgia is responsible for a lot of this sentiment ! We did the walking tour and cooking class in Tbilissi, the guide was so knowledgeable and fun. There is so many amazing things in Tbilissi. You are gonna love the Sulfur baths' area - it's surreal! We loved our first tour with Taste Georgia so much that we did a wine day tour in Kakheti with them: Best decision ever ! We had a lot of fun and the wine made in Qveri (amphora buried in the soil) is delicious and so affordable. As wine lovers that we are we could not resist and flew back with 12 bottles ! Thank you Taste Georgia, we will be back soon !Written June 8, 2018
- Natalie D0 contributionsA wonderful day in wine country!I contacted Taste Georgia to set up a wine tour in Kakheti for my husband and myself. Sarah was prompt and responding and we were able to set up a tour that week. I paid a 20% deposit online and was told to bring the rest in cash, to pay directly to our tour guide. Very easy. Our tour was wonderful! Our guide, Tatya, was chatty and friendly, telling us all about the history of Georgia and Georgian wine as we drove out to Telavi. It was clear that she loved Georgian wine and was happy to share it with us. She translated everything that the winemakers told us (and all of the questions we had for the winemakers), so we learned a lot about the different wine style and the qvevri and, of course, where we can find such amazing wines back home. We ate a delicious lunch overlooking the mountains before our drive back to Tbilisi. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in the wines of Georgia!Written June 8, 2018
- Lena M0 contributionsLunch with WinemakerI booked Lunch with the winemaker through Taste Georgia. Irakli who was my main point of contact was very kind and outmost professional! He responded very quickly to my questions and ensure that I have a bespoke experience. He was even very helpful in answering my none tour related and was quick to give me recommendations on how more I can enjoy Tbilisi. I will definitely book more tours on my next trip to Georgia.Written June 4, 2018
- CBrandtWright0 contributionsAuthentic and memorable tour!We chose the Katli tour and it was the perfect balance of culture, food, and wine! Although we weren't sure what to expect, what unfolded was a memorable day interacting with artisan winemakers and beautiful views of the Georgian countryside. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I would highly recommend this tour, and wouldn't hesitate to book another tour with Taste Georgia.Written June 3, 2018
- pbudny0 contributionsAn Amazing Way to Discover GeorgiaWe had an absolutely amazing time discovering Georgian wine, food, and culture with Taste Georgia. We did a number of activities over a few days. From the cooking class, to the Tbilisi walking tour, to the day trip to Kakheti to discover Georgian wine, our experience with Taste Georgia was awesome! We look forward to visiting Georgia again in which case we'd definitely sign up for their other wine tour to Kartli. We were so impressed with Georgian wine that we flew back to France with with a dedicated wine luggage full of 12 bottles! Thanks Taste Georgia for making our first trip to this wonderful country so special!Written May 28, 2018
- Vinipedia0 contributionsBest way to discover Georgia and it's tastesIt was a very comprehensive tour and very well guided. We had a chance to meet a qvevri maker, some big but also some small family wine producers and we ended our day with a great Supra experience. Excellent hospitality and knowladgeWritten May 25, 2018
- Karinbrazil0 contributionsAmazing Georgia! We had an amazing time in Georgia, and we can surely say one of the main reasons for that was the great service and consultancy provided by Taste Georgia. Our program was perfect and as expected - not overdone, and also not one bit less of what we have expected. Guides were efficient, prices were fair and the experience delivered was spot on! As someone who did not have much of a clue on how Georgia would be, I am positive to say that Taste Georgia's service has helped me enjoy it in a safe, free, cheerful way. We want to go back to Georgia to visit Batumi and will for sure contact them to help us on our planning again.Written May 22, 2018
- America T0 contributionsThe Perfect Wine TourI had such a lovely time on my first wine tour. Taste Georgia was very organized, explained the wines very well and had a lot of patience with me as I asked a lot of questions. This was the highlight of our trip!! - rbianchi280 contributionsEpicOne of the best holidays. The time with our amazing tour guide Giorgi was above our expectations. Natural springs to fill our bottles from the source, breathtaking hikes, wild horses, shepherds and their flocks..it doesn't get any better. We dined in delicious local places and had dinner made at a guest house.Written August 28, 2017
- sboyle7070 contributionsGreat Hands On Georgian Food Cooking ClassThere are two foods you must eat on any visit to Tbilisi: khinkali (dumplings stuffed with meat) and khachapuri (fresh bread stuffed with cheese). If you want to go further and learn how to make these delicious Georgian specialties, Taste Georgia is the place to do it. The class is held in an actual cooking school, so in addition to the chef for our class and our English translator, culinary students wandered into the class periodically to help out. And the help was appreciated, since we kneaded a lot of dough! During the three hour class, we made three types of Georgian bread, dumplings, and delicious stuffed peppers. We couldn't possibly eat all the food we prepared, but the staff happily wrapped it up for us to take home!Written July 7, 2017

We had planned a trip to Georgia with the help of Sarah and Natia from Taste Georgia. A group of 5 women on a bachelorette weekend to the city. We wanted to experience everything but in only 4 days, that is impossible. Sarah and team organised the most amazing experiences for us, opting for the best restaurants and scenery to ensure our trip was unforgettable. I cannot recommend the wine tour enough. You cannot go to Georgia and not experience it. Well on par with major wine regions from around the globe and the wine is absolutely delicious. From the friendly faces, amazing culinary treats and the wine and brandy tasting, it is truly an experience to remember. The team is helpful and efficient, they will truly go out of their way to make your experience memorable and hassle free. The group made lifelong friends with the guide and driver and will definitely return to see them and the beautiful country again soon.

A couple of friends and I booked 3 tours with Taste Georgia. The most obvious advantage to traveling with this tour company is the personal attention. Sarah is passionate about sharing her love of Georgia. You would never get this with a large multi-national profit based conglomerate.
It was all very well organized. Natia, our tour guide, was personable and a wealth of information. We took the Kartli wine tour, the market tour and enjoyed a memorable cooking class. Traveling with Taste Georgia was like being hosted by friends.
Thanks Sarah and Natia, it was so perfect, we are still talking about it. Our May vacation is coming up soon, we look forward to seeing you again this year for more wine and food in Georgia. :)
