About the operator

- 35nealed0 contributionsFull day Bagan tour including sunsetWin Myanmar Travel and Tours communication from the booking stage was excellent. Very prompt email response to my queries which put me at ease straightaway. Our guide Zin Linn Htike and our driver met use at the Hotel on time and our adventure began. Zin was very knowledgeable, informative and friendly. We got to visit many of the highlights of Bagan ending with a beautiful sunset. Based on this I would highly recommend this tourWritten February 21, 2020
- sporadicslippy0 contributionsThank you Nyi Nyi and LanI usually prefer to try and explore countries by my own means, but given time restraints and the lack of easy public transport to get to Golden Rock and H'pa An, I started to research tours and came across Win Myanmar Tours. Naing Naing was fantastic with communication from the start and thoroughly answered my many questions regarding the itinerary and how much it could be customised. I was slightly hesitant about booking initially as it seemed a bit of a waste that the third day of the tour would just be driving back to Yangon, and so she was immediately happy to change this to include a stop a Bago. She was also kind enough to allow me to pay for the entire tour in advance which was helpful for me from a budgeting perspective. We were picked up at 8am sharp from our hotel in Yangon on the first day. Our guide was Nyi Nyi who is very gentle and knowledgeable. He was absolutely the perfect guide for us as he was relaxed and very mindful of the experience we wanted to have. We never felt coerced into anything and were kept well away from tourist traps. What we thought might have been a bit of a hectic trip actually transpired to be peaceful, informative, and extremely enjoyable. We were often given options as to where we wanted to eat (which allowed us to choose local food and avoid low quality tourist establishments), and our final night in Hpa An turned into an impromptu food tour around one of the night markets which was one of our highlights. I really want to mention our driver Lin as well. He was absolutely fantastic - safe, and also took interest in what we wanted to get out of our experience. He knew we were interested in looking for high quality local handicrafts, and whilst driving out of Bago he spotted a new local wood carving shop (I have no idea how he even saw it) and turned back to allow us to look around. It was exactly what we were looking for. As a team, Nyi Nyi and Lin were wonderful. Extremely courteous, punctual, and made the whole tour experience extremely slick and unobtrusive. The tour locations themselves were also excellent, and I am extremely grateful we had them to show us around as we would have missed out on a huge amount had we attempted to see this area on our own. At no point were we taken to any places to be tried and sold things (as with other tour guides who get commission for this sort of activity). There is one negative, and it is one that is implied in a previous review of this tour. I am not particularly fussy about hotels, but at the very least I expect a decent level of cleanliness, comfortable beds, minimal noise, and, ideally, for there to not be too many insects. The Thiri Hpa An hotel has an impressive and clean lobby area, but my goodness, the room was the worst that I have stayed in Myanmar, which is frustrating as I have stayed in far less expensive properties which have been extremely pleasant. The room was dated with big cracks in the walls, and did not feel clean at all. Between showering in the bathroom and walking across the carpet to the bed I felt fairly unclean again. There was mould around the sink in the bathroom and the bathroom had a very stagnant smell to it. There were also plenty of mosquitos. I don't mind a firm mattress but the pillows were also like bricks so I had to do without which affected my sleep. Although there was a garage outside our room there was minimal noise from this. Finally, having enjoyed Myanmar-style breakfasts in many other hotels, I struggled to find edible items here. This genuinely was the only negative, but given the price of the tour it was the only time I began to question the value I was getting. A previous reviewer mentioned giving customers the choice of a few hotels and I agree this would be a good idea. Luckily Nyi Nyi and Lin organised enough activities during the day to keep time in the hotel to a minimum as there is not much to do around the hotel otherwise. Overall, I would definitely recommend booking a tour through Win Myanmar Tours and would highly, highly recommend Nyi Nyi and Lin as the tour guide and driver. I just hope that the feedback regarding the quality of the hotel is noted and changed for future clients.Written February 9, 2020
- vidyabvarma0 contributionsSuperbly organised tour!We have just returned from our tour of Myanmar organised by Win Myanmar and are so very happy we chose to travel with them. The booking process was smooth and Naing Naing was quick to respond to my many queries and patient with my requests to change the itinerary. Right from when we arrived in Yangon, our guides and drivers were on time. Ms Thet and Mr Lin (Yangon), Ms Yue Yue in Mandalay, Mr Lin in Bagan and Mr Zaw in Inle Lake were all knowledgeable and eager to tell us about their country. Their warmth and sincerity more than made up for any deficiencies in their English! They went out of their way to make sure we got to taste traditional food and to accommodate any of our requests. There were the usual visits to all the various local craft shops but nowhere did we feel pressurized to buy as does happen in some countries. All in all a great trip, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Myanmar!Written December 20, 2019
- NewcastleJulia0 contributionsGreat experienceWe booked this 7 day private tour as a holiday extension to a business trip. For personal business reasons, we discovered at the last moment, that we would unfortunately not be able to leave Yangon overnight. The company were wonderfully accommodating when we explained this to our driver and guide on arrival. They went above and beyond in suggesting and arranging visits to additional local sites and various day trips, and were eager to accommodate our suggestions. The driver and guide were very polite, informative and considerate throughout. Whilst we would love to return and visit Bagan and Mandalay some day, we still feel that we have had a very fulfilling experience and gained a lot of insight into the culture and history of this lovely country. Professional and trustworthy company, that I would recommend to other visitors. We would have missed out on so much information had we decided to arrange these excursions ourselves.Written July 12, 2019
- V4c4t10n3r880 contributionsWonderful Girls Getaway trip! It's our first girls getaway trip here in Myanmar and our guide, Cherry, and our driver made our tour and stay here in Myanmar memorable, interesting and safe. She introduced us to some very delicious Burmese sweets and treats that we just have to take some home. Shwedagon Pagoda is quite amazing with its spectacular stupas and we particularly enjoyed our tour of Inle Lake which I liken it to the Venice of Myanmar. The floating garden and market are quite interesting and we loved the boat ride that allowed us to visit a silversmith, silk making as well a lacquer-making factories. Their products are reasonably priced and well crafted. I just have to buy me some. Thier local market is a paradise of fresh and delicious-looking produce! I haven't seen an avocado that big till I saw one in their local market! The food we had was also very good - Burmese, Thai as well as Chinese which are the options available in the restaurants we tried. They also have very nice jade and ruby gemstones and jewelries for which Myanmar is known for and are reasonably priced considering the quality. For the first-timer who has only 8 days to spare for a vacation, I recommend this tour. If you have more time, include Mandalay Bay. I highly recommend this tour company for their exceptional service and hospitality - for making our girls getaway fun, safe, memorable and interesting! Our guide, Cherry and our driver went out and beyond to make our trip and tour memorable and wonderful!Written February 16, 2019
- judywng0 contributionsMemorable tripMyanmar as a destination was well worth the trip, I enjoyed learning about the culture, food, religion and most of all, the people. I recommend this tour with this travel company because it is Burmese hospitality at its finest. Cherry was our tour guide and she’s very kind, caring and solicitous. She was very helpful to us and made an effort to accommodate everyone’s needs since we were also travelling with another party of 3. Our driver was also very solicitous. I want to thank the Tour company for having great people working for them! I love Myanmar!Written February 3, 2019
- Anni_anywhere0 contributionsGreat People, Culture and Landscape ExperienceWe booked a private 3-day tour from Yangon to the Golden Rock and Hpa An. The tour was well organised and open to adapt to personal preferences and weather conditions. We really appreciated the service provided by our guide and the driver - e.g. snacks/water were provided and we had the opportunity to taste some of the local food and fruits along the drive. This made our trip very convenient and relaxed. No "tourist trap locations" were visited and we could experience the friendliness of local people. As a little point for improvement, we suggest that, wherever possible, 2-3 hotel options with different standards are proposed to customers to choose from. Overall, we can recommend Win Myanmar Travel as a competent, reliable and flexible tour operator. We will be happy to visit Myanmar with them again.Written January 13, 2019
- MJKhanvilkar0 contributionsMyanmar Holidays through Win Myanmar Travels & ToursWe made a right decision in selecting Win Myanmar Travels & Tours. Our trip was amazingly awesome! We were travelling from Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), and we booked only international flights (KL-Yangon-KL) by Air-Asia (3 months' in advance). We found about Win Myanmar Travels & Tours through google. After our initial interaction by emails, we decided to go with them. Win took care of everything for us (Airport pick-up, hotels, local sightseeing, local flights, & final airport-drop). Excellent service provided by all the Guides (we visited Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay, Ava, Amarapur, Segai & few more villages). We had very cordial drivers, good quality cars. Everyday we use to start at about 9 am after a good breakfast, and we use to wrap up our day at about 6.30 pm. It was not at all taxing, and we covered almost 50 pagodas, temples, stoopas, plus river visit (boat), lake, sunset points, local markets, palaces, various craft factories & markets, monasteries. We had great vegetarian food at all the places as our guide knew right place. Food was freshly cooked, and very reasonable (about 5 to 10 $ for a meal for two). Myanmar is famous for pearls, ruby, Jed etc. You also can buy good quality silk, cotton material etc. We were there for 8 days, and we will surely go again for another 10 days as there is lot more to see. We definitely recommend Win Myanmar Travels & Tours.Written January 2, 2019
- ichuns080 contributions9 days private tourThe private tour was a very nice experience of Myanmar!! We were able to enjoy the culture intimately and the tour itself is full but not so stressful; timing of trips and hotels are well arranged especially the tourist guide!! Our driver is also very commendable because he is very respectful and friendly! Thank you Lin! For driving us safely!! We enjoyed the hot air balloon ride! Definitely a country that i fell in love with and will surely return in the future!! ❤️❤️❤️Written December 1, 2018
- Saartje H0 contributions11 amazing days at MyanmarWe loved it! 11 days between Yangon, Bagan and Mandalay! All our guides were super polite, with a lot of knowledge, able to answer even questions about delicate subjects. The drivers were also very helpful : Even when our daughter had a moment “ I don’t want to get out of the car to see other temple” they became babysitters, while me and my husband were exploring the wonderful pagodas, stupas and temples! Everything was very well paced and organized! We had a wonderful experience with Win Myanmar Travel and Tours! Perfeito! Uma ótima empresa que nos proporcionou 11 dias maravilhosos em Myanmar!Written August 7, 2018
- WillyKuijpers0 contributionsGreat trip and travelled with confidenceI'm not quite sure how I came in contact with Win Myanmar Travel and Tours but I immediately liked and trusted the fast and swift replies on the numerous emails I did send with everytime a new question. I wanted to visit Myanmar but I was also worried about the news that was publiced in the West about the Northern part of Myanmar. My safety was important for me but seemed to be equally important for this travel agent. Anyhow I was very satisfied about the emails I received. Once I arrived in the Yangon airport I felt a warm welcome by my personal driver who stayed with me during my whole journey. He was hospitel, very friendly and modest and served in an excellent way. I even received a free simcard so I could always contact the driver. I had a few complaints about two hotels and about my first guide and the travel agent took me very serious in this; changed both my guide and my hotel and solved the issues fast and very fine. My driver had a strong and comfortabel car with a lot of space, Always more than enough bottles of water, tissues, handgel and cleaning towels. Excellent! During my stay I saw a lot. My daily program was full and contained all highlights but guide and driver also gave me every opportunity to change my program (add a temple, remove a shop visit) to my wishes. I appreciated the flexibility from the guide and the driver and felt welcome and respected. I really recommend this travel agency. They work hard, have a drive to make me feel welcome and safe and if there's an issue I felt all cooperation to solve it. A few things that can be improved: 1 eventhough all guides speak english, they don't speak all very clear, sometimes to hard to understand them 2 a 3 star accomodation doesn't always feel like a Europian 3 star, if you like luxury take at least 4 star 3 a long drive to Golden Rock without any stop or point of interest feels like a lost day Furthermore, and let this be clear! Myanmar and it's people stole my heart. I traveled throughout all Asia but the hospitallity of the Myanmar people and the fantastic pagoda;s, temples and sights are amazing. book with confidence. This is a fantastic agency that I highly recommend.Written May 16, 2018
- lbrach0 contributions1 long day trip from Yangon to BagoExcellent one day trip from out ship berthed on the wrong side of the river to Bago. Traffic awful took 2.5 hours to do some 90km, but much of interest to we on the way. Excellent guide and driver. Only problem was we had been led to expect a car so getting a much less comfortable mini van was a shame. Great flexibility, they covered the full itinerary I had sent. Good restaurant too for lunch. Trip a full 11 hours, many amazing memories.Written March 3, 2018
- KoYoNY0 contributionsWell worth it- a great tour! From start to finish, our tour was engaging, informative and great fun! Not only did the tour guide and driver allow us the flexibility to change days, they also gave us options based on what we were most interested in. Lots of local information and historical/cultural details made the tour always interesting and easy to follow. The market visit was greatly aided by the tour guide who helped with navigating and negotiations. Driver was skilled and very smart- a great team. They even returned a lost cell phone back to our hotel room late at night with such grace and kindness! Book this tour!Written November 26, 2017
- RonaldosMentor0 contributionsTwo Weeks in lovely MyanmarTwo of us have just returned from the trip of a lifetime around Burma which was arranged by Win Myanmar Travel and Tours. The initial planning was carefully carried out with great attention to detail.Win Myanmar arranged everything for us; airport transfers, vehicles and drivers, 4 English-speaking tour guides, 5 internal flights, accommodation, tours and activitie, and they even helperd us obtain our travel visas!. I cannot fault the organisation. Our tour took us to Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan, Inle Lake and Ngapali Beach and we had a truly marvellous time throughout. If you haven't been to Myanmar yet, then I'd urge you to go before the tourist crowds arrive. It's a tremendous place; lovely people, delicious food and so much to see and do. If you're looking for a company to take you there, then I can thoroughly recommend Win Myanmar Travel. A top rate company!Written November 11, 2017
