About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- mcflyp20200 contributionsDo not book this tour!We booked this tour 2 weeks before the tour date and we were really looking forward to it. What a disappointment! We attempted to get it touch with our guide/the tour operator many times using the information available on our tickets and on trip advisor without success. We just wanted to reconfirm our tour, get in touch with our guide and ask a few questions in order to be prepared. We wrote several emails and tried to call many times but no one ever answered us. In good faith, we still showed up at the meeting point on the due date... we waited... and waited... no one ever showed up. The phone number isn’t being answered to and no one answers the email, we felt cheated. We are fortunate enough to be staying in a hotel with an amazing staff who are currently trying to help us getting our money back... to be continued...Written March 11, 2020
- Companion6521020 contributionsPlease Refund Food TourThis needs to be refunded right away. I called the phone number associated with our booking to confirm the Food Tour on 29th December. The gentleman had no clue about our booking saying it was on 31st December - not sure where they got that date from? He finally agreed to take us on this scheduled food tour at 4.30 PM instead of the original time of 4 PM that day. We reached at the spot at 4 PM. Kept waiting till 5 PM. I and my son called his phone number 7 times -- No answer. As we were about to leave, someone called my son from a different phone number and told him that he was told to wait at a different spot. We rushed there and met the food tour guide at 5.15 PM. He was surprised to see 4 people, was given a totally different name for the reservation and 2 people. He couldn't take 4 of us till he got OK from company which didn't come in another 20 minutes. We agreed mutually with food tour guide to call it off as it was a waste of time. Tour company called and said the he will return all money on 31st December and leave at our Hotel reception. No one ever returned our money. What is going on? We don't know of any other way to request an immediate refund besides submitting a review of our experience.Written January 13, 2020
- Christopher V0 contributionsYangon, Bagan, Mandalay TourHad a six day private tour arranged by Bo Bo to see the three aforementioned cities. THe tours were of excellent quality and I am very happy to have chosen this tour company to arrange my private tours. The English quality of the Yangon guide could be improved (Mr. Ye Linn Htet) whereas the English quality in Bagan (Mr. Hein Moe Luin) was *EXCELLENT*. Likewise, for Mandalay, Ms. Thinzar Tin Win was EXCELLENT in terms of conversational ability, information provided, etc... If visiting Bagan/Mandalay, I would *specifically* request the two aforementioned guides to be able to have the best experience possible.Written December 11, 2019

- John K0 contributionsTwo week photo tour of MyanmarI was lucky to have Bo Bo as my guide/fixer for an entire two week trip. He is a professional photographer and professional guide with the highest standards. When it was time to depart, he was always at the meeting point first. He knew terrific uncrowded spots to get the best photos. We were often the only ones there. He was so charming to the people we met along the way, that we always had a willing model in our scenes. Because of his creative vision and his technical knowledge of photography, I was able to get some of the most outstanding images of my career. I've taken many tours/photo tours, this was one of the top two. I hope to return for another trip with Bo Bo Zaw.Written July 10, 2018
- PaulAllerton0 contributionsBrilliant!Excellent guide, and fixer. Bobo works hard to facilitate photographers and help them with locations, people, and logistics. An excellent resource, he is patient and offers invaluable help and guidance, and understands the needs of, and the effort required to pursue professional grade photography. I was there in late 2014 (could not select a date that far back). I would not hesitate to work with Bobo again or recommend his services.Written June 9, 2018
- Alice P0 contributionsBest service and guide in Myanmar!I travelled alone in Myanmar and Bo Bo supported me with all the planning of my trip, from the general itinerary to each and every detail. Bo Bo couldn't travel with me since he was busy with another trip in the same dates, but he gave me the best recommendations on locations for photography. If you are planning your trip to Myanmar, I definitely recommend to contact Bo Bo!Written May 15, 2018
- Kit P0 contributionsMemorable visit to a land of culturally-rich treasures and beautiful rubyA couple of friends and I had a full day getting around in Yangon before going to Bagan. We went to see a few temples and stopped for a nice lunch in the city. River shrimp and prawn are a must try given we’re from Thailand who enjoy seashells on a daily basis. They were so fresh but reasonably priced in all dishes. We had only 3 hours at national museum which wasn’t enough at all. We recommend everyone spare at least half a day to see great historical treasures that were saved from many wars in the past. Jewelry market was another excitement to see and try many precious stones besides ruby. Our evening was filled with peace and spiritual joy at the great Pagoda of Shwedagon. We thank Mr.BoBo who made all attractions possible in a day with regular heavy traffic on Saturday. The tour guide and the driver were knowledgeable and helped us go around the city efficiently. The rest of our trip were in Bagan, Pyin Oou Win, Mandalay, etc. for 5 more days. They were all in our good memories to share with family and friends.Written February 18, 2018
- batuman0 contributionsExcellent service and knowledge of MyanmarWe have used Myanmar Day Tours for a professional photography tour where the entire focus was on capturing epic shots of the beautiful people and locations in Myanmar. We worked with Bobo Zaw who knew all the right places to take us. He was also really good at instructing the locals on how to work with us when we needed them to pose for us in different locations and in different ways. Photographers can be very picky and demanding and BoBo was extremely patient with us the entire time and he worked very well with the locals without upsetting them and always respecting their time and culture. It was a pleasure to explore Myanmar with BoBo and I would highly recommend him. Note: We worked with BoBo in November 2014 (and not March 2017 as listed below but I was not able to choose another date)Written February 7, 2018
- carlbB1639YL0 contributionsTwo-week Myanmar photo tour with BoboTwo wonderful weeks spent in central, eastern and west Myanmar taking photos with the guidance of local Myanmarese photographer Bobo. Second time I use Bobo as photography guide. Logistics and organisation were excellent. Bobo also is a "facilitator" and offered access to amazing locations and local subjects. He is passionate about photography and reluctant to leave a shoot until you have the photo you are satisfied with. Highly recommend any photography tour in Myanmar with Bobo.Written January 17, 2018
- Stalla490 contributionsExploring the countryside of Shan StateMyself and 3 other photographers travelled with Bobo In August 2016 to photograph rural life the countryside in Shan State. Bobo is a genuine, friendly person who has your specific travel needs always in his radar. He is more like a friend than a guide and “thank you” is not enough to express my gratitude for his generosity and kindness. We travelled for 10 days by van and train, stopping when we saw something we wanted to photograph. Our experiences in the remote villages, that do not usually see outsiders, was nothing but the best. The people were so friendly and welcoming and our interactions with them are what good memories are made of. Already have recommended him to friends.Written November 11, 2017
- Greet500 contributionsTravel trough MyanmarWe just had a wonderful trip trough Myanmar. Thanks to BoBo we came home with great pictures. I highly recommend him for sharing his knowledge of photography, his kindness and respectfully to other people. Some day we will go back to Myanmar, i hope to meet him again. - Ken E0 contributionsGreat Myanmar Photography tour experience. My wife and I went to Myanmar in 2016 and this was my 2nd trip and I wanted to balance it between a photography tour and letting my wife experience it the first time. Bobo was a great guide and not only brought me to some unique and different places, but ended up helping me develop my craft. While this is just a hobby for me, I have gotten many comments on the pictures that I took in Myanmar. It is hard not to get good photographs in Myanmar, but with Bobo, you will get outstand and portfolio worthy prints. I would and have recommended his services to both amateur and professional photographers, you can not get better.Written August 6, 2017
- Jino L0 contributionsOne of the best photography guide in MyanmarI have the opportunity to travel with BoBo Zaw on 3 occasions, once alone and twice with groups. His knowledge about photography locations, subject and connections are unsurpassable. Besides his knowledge, he is also very friendly and helpful, always willing to share and assist. I highly recommend his services.Written June 15, 2017
- JimGuerard0 contributionsMyanmar travel and photography experienceI had the pleasure of traveling with Bobo on a multi-week travel and photography tour to many different parts of Myanmar. He was organized, efficient and thorough. It was also extremely helpful that he is an accomplished photographer and really understood the things we were interested in and the right time of day to be there for the best light. He has an intimate understanding of the culture and history that was wonderful to hear and added great perspective. Finally, he is also a very friendly and pleasant person to travel with. Happy to say that I left Myanmar with a fantastic experience and a good friend!Written June 6, 2017
