Our guide Miss Ei Thinzar was a wonder tour guide, she gave us a great overview of Yangon's colonial history and even taught us a few phrases in Burmese. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, thanks!

This tour is a short circle around the main city center, but gives a great overview of the history of Myanmar and the historic buildings that make up the city center. Ei Thinzar was a wonderful guide and I really enjoyed ending the tour with conversation, tea and green tea salad in a nearby tea shop.

Sandra was a wonderful tour guide! Even though it was raining during the entire tour, she managed to show some of the highlights with good narratives.
Sandra took into account our needs, taking breaks and tour-detours accordingly. I would recommend this tour, and especially Sandra, to all those visiting Yangon.

In spite of the nonstop rain, we showed up for the Yangon Walking Tour (Culture), much to the relief of our cute, charming, and well-read guide Myo Gyi. As a student, Myogi studied English Literature, and now teaches basic English, and does tour guiding part time. We picked him because previous reviewers mentioned that he talks about politics and history, which we enjoy. We were not disappointed. We started at The Independence Monument at Maha Bandula Park, beginning with the stories of the 1988 Democracy Uprising and the 2007 Saffron Revolution, as he pointed to where they marched for freedom. I got emotional straightaway. We visited many colonial era buildings, some repurposed as government offices, some left in ruins, but still occupied, each of them filled with Myogi's charm and humour. During the tour he made a stop by a small book vendor by the roadside who sells political books as if it was street food and recommended us "from the land of green ghosts" by student revolutionary Pascal Khoo Thwe. We ended the tour by wishing him all the best for the democratic movement in Myanmar, and that as neighbour we may stand together in hope.

I was very lucky to be the only tourist for this tour as I had a great experience with the guide, Myo Gyi. He showed me around the city and shared so much details about the history, people and politics of Yangon. The tour is interesting as he also asked me questions where I have to use my own limited knowledge to handle these questions. I would definitely highly recommend this tour!

This was a great tour that took us through unique parts of the city. We learned many interesting facts about the different cultures and religions of the people who live in Yangon. The tour ended with us sitting in a local tea shop and trying different types of food together. Myogyi, our guide, has great English and answered all of our questions!

This your was the highlight of our time in Yangon. We got to walk through areas of the city we would never have found alone. The feel was very authentic and we learned so much about the culture, history, and food of Myanmar! We learned how to tie a longyi (not as easy as it looks...) and make thanaka. Myo Gyi is an awesome guide and encouraged us to ask all the questions we had. The tour was informative, well organized, and very fun. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone spending time in Yangon.
