We arranged a slow boat cruise through Asia Private Travels last minute because we didn’t know if we would make it on time leaving on a Monday. Other agencies let us know they couldn’t arrange it anymore but Asia Private Travels said it was no problem and arranged everything on Sunday the day before. They were very friendly and quick in replies. Chau Bui, the young lady who helped us through WhatssApp was wonderful and couldn’t have helped us better. The cruise itself was amazing and unforgettable. I highly recommend this company

The company were very clear in their communication on WhatsApp. We had trouble using our Canadian credit card to pay because we had local SIMs and couldn’t receive the verification codes from the bank. No problem, they gave us a PayPal option not listed on the site. We were already in Huay Xai and again it was no problem to get picked up from the hotel instead of the more usual border pick up as most people on our boat had come from Chiang Mai that morning setting off at 6am. It was nice to be picked up at 9! The boat was beautifully clean, well maintained and not crowded. I think there were 17 of us including four children. Loads of room to spread out and enjoy the free tea and coffee as well as an endless supply of local bananas. The captain’s family did all the cooking which was fabulous. The Sanctuary hotel at Pakbeng was first rate and has a nice pool. Mr Daeng our guide was wonderful and gave us great insights into Laos, its multicultural society and other aspects including the food. The village that Shompoo sponsor was well worth the visit and very interesting. We could take or leave the whiskey village and the caves which were directed at tourists, anyway they give you a leg stretch especially the climb to the cave. I would highly recommend this company for anyone wanting a relaxing slow boat trip on the Mekong.

This company arranged that I take the Slow Boat to Luang Prabang via the Shampoo Cruise. It was helpful as I also hired an assistant to go through immigration from Thailand to Laos. And staying at Le Grant Pakbeng Hotel was fantastic and beyond expectations.

My journey from Huay Xai to Luang Praban with Shompoo was pleasant. At first the sky was quite gloomy, but when it's noon, I was awed by the beauty of the Mekong River. The lush, green landscapes and the charming villages we passed along the way made me feel healed. One thing I love about Shompoo is the staff were so friendly and knowledgable. We became friends through their stories sharing culture of Laos. Amazing cruise trip. I will return to Laos soon with my friends, maybe for some trekking or deeper into its peaceful villages.

From soup to nut, the folks at Asia Private Travels took utmost care to make my Vietnam trip comfortable and fun. They fulfilled all the commitments and made me very happy with their arrangements - the tour guides and pick up drivers were very nice and knowledgeable, the hotel rooms were very clean and big and the Halong bay cruise and Mekong delta tour were superb too!! They also arranged international adapter for me and late checkout and early check in for a nominal price. I've already recommended them to family/friends for Vietnam tours.

It was a beautiful trip this year, 2 days may be too short for me to enjoy Laos scenery in a fulfilled way. I love how local people welcomed us so warmly, they were friendly, had bright smiles on their faces and treated us so well. Watching the sunset on the cruise was so fun so I realized that it’s been a long time to relax by myself like this. Thank Laos River Cruise and Shompoo cruise for an amazing trip, i will be back in Laos soon :)

This is my first solo travel so i chose a good agency to make sure everything well on this tour. And Shompoo cruise got my heart! I'm really impressed of the enthusiastic staff on cruise, they took care me every detail and i could feel SO safe. I love the itinerary but if we can visit some more waterfalls or local markets, it will be better. Anyway, I could talk to locals and receive much energy from them, they were very kind and warm, the Laos food was yummy too. A beautiful trip in these tiring days, love it!

Laos is so overrated! Didn’t expect that Laos can be such a beautiful country before I came here in Oct 2023. Every stop in the cruise itinerary was amazing, but my favorite would be the Pak Ou Cave visit. Really impressed by the numerous Buddha images and Lao Lao village. Highly recommend it for those who love unspoiled sites and authentic destinations

I had an excellent private trip as a solo traveller in Yangon and around for 4 days. The company was very flexible with the itinerary and we managed to visit all the best sites in Yangon, including the less popular ones. My guide, Mr San, was very friendly and informative throughout the journey. He explained everything in detail, especially about the history and culture. He was also very kind to allow some quick changes during the trip, such as visiting additional temples which was not originally in the itinerary. Very much recommended!

Our experience was great! Fifi was a wonderful guide/translator and took us to many places around Hanoi. Some of the highlights were the Vietnamese Women’s Museum, Fine Art museum, Hoa Lu, and Thung Nham, Ninh Binh. Her smiles are contagious that make our trip to Ha Noi much more memorable.

The service I received before we arrived Hanoi in terms of booking the Halong Bay cruise trip, a special Michelin star dinner in Hanoi to celebrate my sister’s 21st birthday and local private transfers was nothing short of perfect. Every little detail was was considered and looked at and we received highly personalised service from Nguyễn who made sure all allergies in our group were catered for. we used this company in Myanmar in Jan 2020 the emails were pretty nonresponsive and we were located in a really inconvenient and far from the airport location on our final night. their policy at the time was that if you ask 72 hours in advance to change the hotel, they will do it and for some reason they didn't ever reply even though we asked multiple times to be switched unforgettable trip, with very professional driver and it was nice that they gave us a complementary sim card for data and calls while in country. we stayed in yangon and bagan
