A fully belly!
Jul 2020
The evening tour was a lot of fun and by the end my belly was full. We visited so many different spots and ate so much delicious food. We visited restaurants, markets, and street food spots, they were all fantastic, and there is something for everyone - sweet and savory. The guides are very knowledgeable and friendly, beyond the food, it is a very good introduction to downtown Yangon life. Highly recommend.

A bit of everything...
We met our guide Kyaw for our evening street food tour last night, we were a group of 4. We enjoyed the street foods that Kyaw took us to, the food was interesting and different and we would never have discovered the variety of foods had we not taken this tour. We had around 10 dishes to try through out the evening, my favourite was the pickled ginger salad which just happened to be located up the street from my hotel (which was convenient for a return visit). Kyaw explained about the spices and the different areas where we travelled, we loved the areas around China town and Indian town. Very enjoyable evening with an knowledgeable guide his chef knowledge was very handy when we walked around the fresh food market. Would recommend that you do this tour on your first night to get a good idea of Burmese street food. Thank you Kyaw.

A fascinating introduction to the food of Myanmar
Feb 2020
Kyaw was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. He took us on a tour of the backstreet food markets where we got to sample a vast array of foods typical of the country. I've no doubt we could have spent much less if we'd not been on the trip but would not have learnt anything or probably even found half of the places he took us too. Some incredible sights, smells, tastes and plenty to eat. A fascinating 4 hours spent with a small group and an experience we'd recommend and will never forget.

Incredible food and culture tour
This was a fantastic experience. Our guide was amazing and we tried some of the best dishes we have had in southeast Asia. We did it on our 2nd day in Myanmar, which was perfect as it was a great way to understand more about the city, language country and what dishes to try in other states. Couldn't recommend this more!

Excellent evening-learnt so much! Ate so much!
Jan 2020
Our guide on this culinary adventure was top class - great English, ex-chef and full of information. Starting at 5 we made our way through a whole series of food adventures which we would never have been able to do on our own. Highlights were the mohinga ( now realise how poor our hotel versions were) so many extra crunchy juicy additions and the three salads we tired in Little India. By the time we got to 19th Street we were stuffed but managed the bbq fish and soaking in the atmosphere in Beer Street.

Amazing food tour of Yangon!
Jan 2020 • Family
I brought my mom to do this food tour when she was here in December and she absolutely loved it! It was a great way to show her the food in Yangon and to get great background on the ingredients and culture surrounding the dishes. Our guide was Kyaw who was great. She loved it so much that she insisted that I take my dad and sister to the same tour when they came in January. We luckily got Kyaw again and they had a great time as well.

It is a great price for the amount of food (almost too much, you will be so full by the end of it) and because the locations were authentic, yet trustworthy. Even though I live here, it can be hard to know exactly where to go to get certain foods and to make sure that its authentic (especially as an expat)! Would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants a better look at the food and culture of Yangon!

Best intro to Yangon street food culture
Dec 2019
We organized the food tour to be on our first day in Myanmar- a great introduction to both the food of Yangon but also to the city itself. When you are in Yangon around sunset, the city streets come alive with street food: cafes set up on the sidewalk serving all sorts of food, vendors cooking particular dishes to buy and walk away eating- generally all mysterious and a bit intimidating unless you are particularly adventurous or speak the language. This is the world that the Food tour invites you into.

The quantity you'll eat is definitely (more than) enough to serve as dinner. Our guide Phyo brought us to try about 8 (?) different street foods: from the famous Mohinga fish soup to the various fried snacks to an Indian-style dhosa-like dish to salads and tea at a street tea "house" to chinese-style noodles with ribs to grilled fish and beer. If you are adventurous enough you can also try some sort of giant worm that was squirming before dropping it in for frying (sounds worse than it is). It was a lot of fun and we were subsequently able to walk the streets of Yangon with so much more understanding than before.

Delicious dishes
Dec 2019 • Couples
It was one of the best food tour we have ever had so far in south east Asia. All the dishes were amazing, vendors were so nice and our tourguide was just great. We took the tour again next day by ourself to try some of the dishes again.
