Start your tour with a 1pm pickup from your central Yangon hotel by your private guide. Traveling by private vehicle, head straight to the first stop of the afternoon – the Sule Pagoda. Pause to admire its glittering gold façade before peeking inside and learn how the architectural masterpiece dates back more than 2500 years.
Continue to the National Museum and immerse yourself in Myanmar’s long history during a guided visit. Gain an insight into Burmese culture and heritage as you browse the exhibitions of art and artefacts, and listen as your guide points out the museum’s highlights.
Finally, pay a visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda, one of Yangon’s most photographed sights, and hear about its significance as one of Myanmar’s holiest sights. After marveling at the gilded pagoda from the outside, step inside the sacred temple, where the priceless relics include a shrine of Buddha’s hair.
Your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel around 6pm.
Please note: the National Museum is closed on Mondays and public holidays.
