It was worthwhile to visit the site as well as the related sites of fele cave on Lelepa and the village. Despite the weather not being perfect the tour carried on albeit modified to take the weather into account. We couldnt get to Hat Island but saw addtional parts of the coast which were stunning. - V2741WTjulies0 contributionsA very special day, a wonderful experience seeing the real Vanuatu.We left our resort to travel to a local village where a very amusing and charming man gave us an insight to village life, their customs and fishing methods. We were also treated to the local tribal band for entertainment and experienced a fire walker for the first time, such a very brave man. From the village we travelled to the beautiful Blue Lagoon, where we were able to swim in the gorgeous blue salty water. Such a very special swim. The area is so very well set out for families to come and spend a day. From the Blue Lagoon we travelled on to the iguanas (we were able to hold these beautiful and quiet creatures) and the turtle nursery. At the nursery there were babies (around 5-6 months old) and 5 older turtles in an enclosed ocean pool. Such a wonderful experience. After we left the turtles we came to the beautiful Cascades, again such a beautiful place, with swimming optional. A very special day seeing the real Vanuatu.Written July 31, 2024

Saw a school, Cultural village show, river swim (beautiful!), had a great lunch, and then the Blue Lagoon. Justin and Charley were great guides - so knowledgeable and informative. When we arrived they were not even on the same island as us. Then they refused to refund our money. Had to file a criminal complaint when we returned to the US. - 947stormj0 contributionsP&O shore tour cultural village & eden blue lagoonDisappointed in this tour , it was not long enough to swim nor enjoy the lagoon we have heard so much about. We where given 1 hour.. by the time you use the only english toilet, as there is only 1 to share amongst everyone else on the tours you have wasted a good half hour, then, by the time you walk down to it, take a photo it's time to walk back n get back on the tour bus. For a shore tour that cost $130 we where rushed around. Spent more time on the tour bus then anything else. If you want to see this lagoon I suggest you talk to a guide off the ship and get a private tour instead for $50 . It does cost $10 to swim here so that's extra. Atleast then you can actually enjoy the lagoon. I'm so disappointed we missed out on what was supposed to be an amazing day swimming.Written May 21, 2024

It seems the local tour operator only notified the guide the night prior and he had to skip his normal work to take us. The trip was supposed to include entry fees but the local guide had insufficient cash to cover it. Also no complementary fruit was supplied. We returneBelow is an email I sent to Atmosphere Tours outlining a request for refund for our excursion. Summary - we (me, my wife and 5 year old twin boys) arrived promptly at the designated time for the tour - getting up at 6 am so we were sure to be on time. However, 1 hour and 15 minutes had passed and the tour had not started. My children were tired and asked to return to the ship. Details are below, but I am asking for a refund of our $390 because we did not take the tour. My family and I have been planning a trip to Vanuatu for 2 years. We originally booked this excursion in February 2023, but our ship was diverted from Port Vila due to cyclones. We were looking forward to the excursion! Per the email below, your instructions specifically state that me, my wife and 2 5 year old children should arrive 45 minutes after the ship berths. The ship was scheduled to berth at 7:00 am, so I paid an extra fee with our ship to get someone to escort us off the ship early so we would be on time. I got my children out of bed at 6:15 am to get on the first tender and arrive at the Port Vila wharf by 7:45 am. Once we arrived at the wharf, we were instructed to wait inside the wharf near some shipping containers. Other tour operators had representatives in the area, but since no one from Atmosphere Tours had arrived by 8:06 am, I called to confirm we were waiting in the correct location. I was told someone was at the gate and would come to get us. At 8:23, no one had yet arrived from Atmosphere Tours, so I called again and was again told to wait. At about 8:35 Jerome (sp?) arrived with two others. We were told to follow Jerome to a van. We followed Jerome to a him to van marked Atmosphere Tours, but were instructed to wait outside the van. Other passengers were loaded in the van while my family was instructed to wait outside the van. At about 8:45 am, the van was full with other passengers. Jerome's colleague told us to go back to the shipping containers, where we originally had waited, and William would then pick us up. Then, Jerome and his colleague had a discussion and instructed us to pack into the van for a short drive to meet William. The van did not have enough seat belts for me and my family, but we piled in around 8:55 am. It had been an 1 hour and 10 minutes since we arrived at the wharf when we started driving. We finally met up with William at 9:00 am, but he had other passengers in his car. Jerome, seemed confused and called the home office. My children were tired and asking to go back to the ship. My wife was not confident in the tour as things had been so disorganized up to that point. Our new driver, William, told us the wharf does not open for the private tour groups until 9 am so he did not understand why we had been instructed to be at the wharf so early. At 9:02 am 1 hour and 17 minutes after our tour was to have started, I called Atmosphere Tours and talked with Annie Boe. Annie had sent me the original email instructing us to arrive at 7:45 am. I told her since so much time had passed since the tour was supposed to start, my children were tired and wanted to go back to the ship. I asked that a refund be sent for the tour. She said she would talk with the "Director", George, and call me back. I called Annie at 9:19 am and again at 9:36 am. Annie told me to write the email and provided me with the Director, George's, phone number. Our driver, George, took us back to the wharf. I have William $50 cash for his time taking us back to the wharf. I tried calling Director George at the number Annie provided me: +67751520. However, the number is disconnected. I tried calling Annie (+67827870) again to reconfirm George's number, but that number now goes directly to voicemail. We are very disappointed that the experience was not as we expected and appreciate your efforts on our behalf. As instructed by Annie, I am formally requesting a full refund of the $390 for your we did not take. I paid our driver, William, $50 cash for taking us back to the wharf. Booked Atmosphere for transfer from Iriki Island Jetty, adjacent to Grand Hotel Casino Port Villa, to airport on Monday 13 May 2024 for 12.15pm pick up.
Did not arrive until at least 12.50 pm. At this point we were in a taxi leaving the pickup point. Our drive was extremely friendly, dropped us directly at the departure door. Wish l had thought to get his name to provide a 5 star review for him.
On arrival in Vanuatu, at 2am Friday 3rd May, we, along with 14 others, were picked up in a dilapidated, questionably safe vehicle. One passenger was forced to sit on a fold down seat at the back of bus, probably was the seat was exactly that, folded down with no back or seat belt accessible.
Save yourselves the stress and anxiety of missing your flight, book a taxi or hail a bus to take you to airport - safer, more efficient and friendlier.

Thank you for your review.
Since you visited Port Vila you would be fully aware that we have a chronic traffic congestion issue exacerbated by our very narrow streets and terrible potholed roads. And on the day of your departure the traffic jam was especially worse. Added to that your pick up point is on one of our busiest street in town located between the Grand Hotel and Club Lit.
Our driver was on his way for your pick up and was stuck in this traffic that morning, so he called our Office to ask us to call your resort to let you know that he was running late. We called and advised the lady at the reception at your resort and she conveyed this to you and the other guests who were waiting for our transfer bus.
Our driver did eventually make it to the pick up point where he picked up all the guests who were patiently waiting and dropped them off at the airport in good time for their departure flight.
Traffic jams are an everyday issue here and we try our best to provide our services in a professional & timely manner despite the challenges.
Finally, as to your allegations that you boarded a dilapidated bus on your arrival, we advise that for us to continue providing our airport transfer business we must meet the stringent level of veghicle standard set by Airports Vanuatu Limited otherwise we will lose the space allocated to us at the airport for our arrivals desk and the parking spaces allocated outside the terminal building. Therefore your allegations are categorically denied.
As to the broken back seat, our investigation indicates that it was damaged late in the afternoon of the day of your arrival transfer, but the previous driver failed to notify our Office. Consequently, the bus was used for your arrival transfer that night. The back seat has since been repaired, but for any inconvenience we may have inadvertently caused the passenger who sat on it (not you) we sincerely & unreservedly apologise.
We have noted your feedback and thank you for the same, as together with all feedback received it helps us, where required, to improve or puts a smile on our faces.

I would advise not to use their transfer service. I was twice left waiting over a hour to be taken to my hotel once on initial arrival and again after coming back from Solomons. Their excuse waiting for other passengers on a different plane. On transfer to leave I was told 1.15 pm pickup for a 5pm flight which was way too early, when I asked to make it 3pm ,they told they me won't do it which meant 3.40 hr wait at airport. It feels like it's for their convenience and not the paying passenger

We prebooked hotel transfers from Port Vila airport before we left Australia. We chose this company over others despite being a little more expensive because the website promised a superior service with personal greeting, air conditioned coaches and complimentary shell necklaces and cold water. However, on arrival we were left waiting for an hour for our bus and did not receive either cold water or shell necklaces which particularly disappointed our 6 yo daughter. We were so disappointed we rang the company to complain prior to our return trip to the airport and were promised that it would al be fixed. Sadly they were once again 40 min late and we almost missed our flight. Terrible service

This was one of the worse transfers and I have traveled to over 140 countries…
Unfortunately, I booked both a pickup and drop off with atmosphere…
On the pickup, I had to wait for an hour in the van whose AC barely worked in the hot sun… and to make things worse, the van had ants crawling all over the seat…
On the drop off, atmosphere did not respond to my email 24 hours asking for a confirmation… I had an early 6:30 am flight and need to leave promptly at 4:00 am… it is very unprofessional when they do not respond… I messaged them and got no response… I contacted the third party booking and they called and got no response…
When atmosphere finally responded at 8 pm at night (and I was sleeping on o wake up at 3 am for a 4 am pickup), they did not even apologize… they said the third party sends a confirmation email and so they routinely do not respond in addition to this…
The next morning at 4 am they did not show up… and so I had to order another taxi…
This service is unprofessional and unreliable… and completely lacking in customer service and responsiveness…

I have been using atmosphere for several years now. Easy online booking. Great rates.
They are located just outside after you collect your luggage.
You are also greeted with a shell necklace and a bottle of water for each person. Great service. Air conditioned vehicles. Friendly drivers. See you again next year!
