About the operator
- 460madalenan00Undoubtedly, you gotta visit Andres Carne de Res.The night tour at Andres Carne de Res was an absolute blast. The location, with its vibrant and lively atmosphere, was the perfect setting for a night of fun. The tour was well-organized, ensuring that we could enjoy the night without any worries about safety.
- sergio18202300Rum & CoffeeHad an Amazing time in Hacienda Coloma in Fusa. Anna our tour guide made all the difference. She is so pleasant, knowledgable, profesional, friendly and spoke perfect English. We will definitely be Paraiso Travels again. All the details of the trip were well thought out!
- Laura25P00The best day trip ever! This was an incredible day trip! Cesar and Rodrigo were fantastic. I highly recommend you request them for your tour. We asked for a 6am pick up and they were there on time. Our first stop was Villa de Leyva. We worked the itinerary backwards as there was a kite festival in Villa de Leyva so we wanted to get there early. It is such a beautiful town. We spent a total of an hour there, walking around the town. We stopped in el Museo del Chocolate for a yummy snack. We then headed over to Casa Terracota, a Gaudà inspired house made entirely out of clay. We then went to Pozos Azules which are 6 or 7 bluish green lakes. You walk the entire area at your pace. The great thing about being on a private tour is that you get to decide whether to stay or just head to the next attraction, which is what we did. We only saw 2 of the lakes before heading to our next stop. Note that you are not allowed to swim in the lakes. We then went to Monasterio Ecce Homo, a beautiful monastery in the countryside. By this point, we worked up an appetite. We headed over to another town, Sutamarchan, and had the most amazing lunch. Lastly, we ended up in Ráquira, famous for its colorful pottery. The entire trip was so much fun and we got to see so much of the countryside. Cesar and Rodrigo’s energy made the entire experience that much more enjoyable!
- nildaa61300Cultural TreasureMy tour of the North area of Bogota, guided by Ana, was an unforgettable experience. Ana's knowledge and passion for the city's rich culture were evident throughout the tour. Engaging and educational. The North area, with its vibrant mix of modern and traditional elements, was a delight to explore.
- 323benjij00Off the beaten pathThis tour was truly a unique experience, taking us off the beaten path and into the heart of the local culture. The guide's expertise was evident as she shared fascinating insights and stories, making the history and folklore of the area come alive. The tour was well-organized and the service was excellent, making it easy for us to immerse ourselves in the experience. It was a wonderful way to explore the region and we left with a deeper understanding and appreciation of its rich heritage.
- Bradlee02200Great experience with RodrigoGreat experience with Rodrigo! He catered to our preferences and made the trip extremely easy. Highly recommend.
- D3884JMmauriziop00scenic train rideThis tour is a unique experience that combines the beauty of Bogota's landscape with the rich history of the region. The tour starts with a scenic train ride from Bogota, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Zipaquira Salt Cathedral, a remarkable underground church built within the tunnels of a salt mine. This architectural marvel is a must-see. Please note that the train operates only on weekends and national holidays.
- maiminhnN00Thrilling Adventure at Villa de LeyvaIt was an experience I would rate a solid 9 out of 10. The safety measures in place were top-notch, earning a perfect score of 10. It's clear that the team prioritizes the safety of their guests, which is always reassuring when embarking on an adventure trip. The service staff was thoughtful and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a great experience. Their professionalism and dedication added to the overall enjoyment of the trip. One of the highlights of the adventure was the rappelling. It was not only fun but also provided a thrilling adrenaline rush. Whether you're an adventure junkie or trying rappelling for the first time, this is an experience you won't want to miss
- W9414GYalexs00Avoid this companyCeasar the owner, was awful. Everything was ad-hoc improvised tour. Very little information. The tour was way overpriced. Id ask for moeby back if I could get in contact with ceasor. Oh and the tickets were sold out at the up-side down house. Like who does that? Nothing was done to remedy the situation. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
- nadiamP404RO00Authentic experienceTaking a train to Zipaquira was an experience in itself. The journey was filled with scenic beauty. The history of Colombia is rich and diverse, and getting to learn about it was truly enlightening. The Salt Cathedral. It's a marvel of architecture and a testament to human ingenuity, built within the depths of a salt mine. The trip was overall lovely, with every aspect of it adding to the charm. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in history, culture, and natural beauty.
- 49jesperSigurdsson00traditional art formVilla & Raquira's culture is beautiful, its architecture and traditional designs truly capture the essence of this traditional art form. Every corner of the state reflects the rich heritage and history behind Raquira's ceramics. It's a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic cultural experience.
- P5582RXivans00Highly recommended visit to coffee plantationAna was a fantastic guide who proudly shared much interesting information about her home country. Augusto the driver navigated the busy traffic expertly and safely. The visit to the coffee plantation was worth the 2+ hour drive for sure and the rum tasting was a nice extra. The lunch was very good as well with ample choices. We really liked the private character of this tour where it was just me and my wife with the guide and driver. Highly recommended !
- 490anneliser00Best guide in town!Bianca is the best guide in town. I've been a local here for over a couple of months and now I finally decided to take an alternative tour which turned out to be the best decision. She was so knowledgeable about the history of the city, it felt like I was back in college learning all these new facts. I would recommend this tour over.
- nicholastP1545OJ00Must do!After a scheduling snafu on our part, Paraiso Travels accommodated us on our last minute schedule change and really made our trip. Maria (bilingual) and Augusto arrived on time and shared their knowledge throughout the trip of their hometown, Bogota, as well as Fusa. We made a few sightseeing stops along the way and they were very attentive to our requests, even though it extended the trip a bit. They really made the to, from and lunch incredibly enjoyable. At Coloma, our Bilingual guide, Jessica, talked about the town she was raised in, Fusagasuga, as well as walked us through every part of the coffee growing process. She was not only very well versed in the process but her knowledge and passion of different coffee cultures really made the tour. She pivoted to the rum tasting quite flawlessly and both tours were some of the best highlights of our trip. Big thank yous to the staff at Coloma (+Jessica) and Paraiso Travels (Maria) for giving us a top notch experience!
- darylh78000Top-notch customer serviceI want to take this opportunity to thank Augusto for all the patience, excellent driving and hard work he has put in over the past few days. I know it's been a really tough time with me wanting to stop so much, but he kept going and pushed through. Thank you so much!
