We are both novice hikers and not serious bird watchers. All we really wanted was time in the Andean forests, and that is what we got! The scenery was gorgeous and the views were breathtaking. And, that's not just the altitude talking!. Our guide, David, was not only knowledgeable about birds, but he was able to identify and educate us about the plants, insects, and animals we saw. We were unlucky with birds, but that could be because of the time of day. The only tip I would suggest is to be sure to bring hiking shoes/boots and not sneakers. At Chicaque, be prepared to start at the top and climb your way down via rocky trails. Some folkx opted to walk up the road, but we highly recommend taking the offered ride back up. We loved the day!

I took the Spanish tour hoping my command of the language would improve. That didn't happen but Alejanda (guide) was just great. Her knowledge of Villa de Leyva and Cololmbia is vast. And she went out of her way to help me understand. Gena and everyone at Parche Cachaco Tours are the best - friendly and fun. Def people to spend 14 hours with.

The park was beautiful, and we had a great guide who knew a ton about the birds, plants, and history. We absolutely loved the experience!

While the tour description and the booking confirmation I received clearly stated that the tour includes brunch, a professional guide, entrance fees, bottled water and snacks, it turned out that it was a transportation only tour. The driver did a great job and picked us up at the hotel, always stayed in touch with us and dropped us off again, so no complaints there. He explained to us that there is a tour that includes all of the above, but it's a different one. We were clearly disappointed and felt betrayed by Tripadvisor that the booking process is clearly misleading and the confirmation was simply wrong.

Fabulous day spent in the lush forest. Parche Cachaco Tours with Adriana was a wonderful experience. This tour included a challenging hike to the Eagle Rock lookout and then continued hiking to the Refugio for a robust Colombian meal. We had tree arborismo (upward hoisting)and Zipline included. Great fun and exhilarating. Pickup was perfect, driver Fernando and naturalist Adriana were above and beyond friendly. Informative history lesson, patient, safe. You need to be ready for the 6 plus miles you’ll cover, lots of steep downward and upward steps on all paths. Very well worth the price for all that’s included. There were even post-Zipline snacks. Bring good traction shoes you don’t mind getting muddy.

Parche Cachaco offered and delivered an amazing tour beyond our group's expectations. A 3-hour tour of Bogota's most stunning, socially-expressive graffiti, including a walk through the historical Candeleria neighborhood, and the downtown Simon Bolivar plaza delivered much more. This tour company provided a very tailored and personal touch for our group. Our guide Juan was as informative as he was entertaining. He was joined by the driver and tour coordinator, all of whom made sure we all enjoyed the tour and had everything we needed. They did not measure or limit our time, but rather went at the group's pace, patiently answering our questions and offering up lots of interesting details. The tour included a stop at an eclectic and delicious restaurant in the Candeleria for a taste of Colombian delicacies and national liquer. They even accommodated a pet dog that come along with our group. It ended with a stop to enjoy a Colombian coffee. But even this offered more than expected, as the stop was at a a barista school where we had the pleasure of witnessing two very unique methods for brewing coffee with elaborate and expensive equipment that you might expect to see in a laboratory. All in all, it was a truly fantastic and memorable experience. Parche Cachaco offers several tours and we'll be sure to try one of the others knowing we can count on another amazing experience and customer service.

This was an amazing tour of Bogota, not only graffiti which was fantastic, but also places we would never have gone to, a coffee experience tour through technique and history of our favorite stimulant, and a magically themed restaurant. Can't recommend them enough!

Ginna and David met us early in the morning at our hotel and we were on our way to Chicaque reserve. Ginna is the owner of this company and she takes care of us like we are member of her family. David was our guide for the day. He's a biologist (so am I) and he's very knowledgeable. He talks a lot (I've finally met my match!!), knows a lot of anecdotes and makes this tour very enjoyable! We would recommend this company without hesitation. As for Chicaque reserve, it's a very beautiful place close to Bogota. A nice way to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city!

Provided one has time the side trip is ok and a good addition to the museums of Bogota. While the place is big and impressive it lacks artistic grandeur.

This is the tour I did with them. It is a cathedral below the surface of the earth which is really worth visiting. That why I found it a pity that we were almost running through it because we had to be on time for lunch and after that a stroll through the village. I would really have liked to stay longer in the cathedral, that's why I would like to advise you to go there on your own. Nothing wrong with the company, nice guide, good transport and I could book this tour from Cartagena but like I said it would have been nicer to spend more time in the cathedral.

The bus was right on time at the hotel to start our trip. Manuel gave us some information about the city and it’s history while picking up the other people. Bus driver was very friendly and brought us safe to the Cathedral! Was nice to see this enormous salt caves and the art within! Afterwards we had a nice lunch at the recommended restaurant & visited the local village with our driver. Glad we participated on this tour! Big up

We were only staying a couple of days in Colombia, through this trip we managed to have an overall history of Colombia through the village , the guide was knowledgeable and told us the history and explained the history and how is it today to live there. it was a long ride and we had a lot of time to kill. so we talked alot :) and he was never tired or fed up. some great touches was the traditional breakfast and snack and the gift bag. this saved us lots of time thinking of the souvenir.
