In the Suesca Rocks have accumulated years of history, from its formation 65 million years ago, through the conquest and the arrival of the train. On the Rocks you can experience adventure and adrenaline with trekking and climbing, characteristic activities of the place. We will visit the El Turpial Reserve where we will plant the trees that will contribute to the conservation and sustainable use of the Suesca Rocks, for which we must cross a suspension bridge over the Bogotá River.
In the afternoon, after a delicious typical lunch, enjoy and rest in the village, learn something about the history of the first contact of the Muisca with the Spanish, know one of the first churches in Colombia, the house of Gonzalo Jimenez de Quesada and the tomb of the great architect Prieto Cantini, who built the Colon theater in Bogotá among other important buildings in the city. To end the day, share a few ounces in one of the most traditional places in the municipality, El Rincón de los Viejitos, where the empanadas of breastplate and bread are the specialty.
