Great guide, hacienda is under construction
Ivan Builes was our guide and he was amazing. He was friendly and had a nice vehicle which is important since it’s a 3 hour drive each way from Medellin. The Hacienda is not worth the trip its self right now. It’s under a bunch of construction. In about a year the place will be amazing. They are building roller coasters and other attractions. We did not do the water park.

          ATV Tour Experience
We had a great experience with our guide, Joe Posada. Joe is a genuine person who cares about your safety and guest experience. He is wealthy with knowledge of the history and current state of Medellin. He went above and beyond to give us a great experience on our ATV Tour. I would highly recommend Joe to be your tour guide for any experience in Medellin!

Fantastic private tour of Santa Elena!!
Luis was awesome!! He did a great job at translating Spanish to English as I went on the Santa Elena Silleteros tour with my wife and mother. We had a great time! We really enjoyed meeting Don Joaquin who was third generation of Silleteros and his wife. We liked learning about the Silleteros tradition, lifestyle, and history. Additionally, we enjoyed making a silleta and experienced wearing the traditional clothing and carrying the silleta. Luis provided us with a reliable vehicle that had AC which made comfortable ride from Medellin to Santa Elena where is was much cooler. I recommend taking a wind breaker or light jacket as the climate does change at higher elevation. Luis picked us up at my family’s house where we were staying a dropped us off near Comuna 13 were we wanted to walk around and shop. I highly recommend this tour with Luis he as fantastic and we had a great time with our guid Luis. Thank you for a wonderful tour and experience!! 👍🏼👍🏼

          Fantastic!
Alberto was an excellent tour guide. He was both entertaining and knowledgeable. We learned so much about Medellin - the history and politics! His kindness toward others was evident in everyone he met. We loved our tour!

          Two great Excursions for Medellin
We went on the horse back, zip lining and fourhweeler excursion which was amazing. So many beautiful views. Our tour guide David was amazing. One of the best tour guides I have ever had. David was such a good tour guide we decided to book a city tour with him the following day and have him show us around the city which was so cool. We went and saw the Grave of Pablo, the city Pablo had built, downtown Medellin to all the shops and square and the home Pablo was at when he died and the memorial for the victims of the war. Such great tours I highly recommend them both and if you can get David as a guide that will be a bonus for sure he was great.

Lena and La Miel and the river that runs through the hike-exciting!
We had a tour planned through Kimkim Travel and our guide spoke excellent English and translated because our tour guide for the La Miel waterfall hike Lena, spoke Spanish only. She was delightful, informative and the hike was challenging which I loved. Approximately 90 minutes unless you do the swimming at the waterfall - end of tour - just long enough to go there and back with some help in moving from rock to rock within the river that runs through the Nature Conservancy. We loved Lena, our Kimkim guide, Maria and an excellent driver that takes you an hour or more from our Medellin hotel. Well worth the trip and very exciting - don't go when HOT. We had perfect 70's weather and light rain - bring raincoat and sturdy shoes that can get wet (maybe a swim suit).

Amazing 2 hour trip plus 2 hour drive up and back to Medellin experience.
Our Kimkim tour guide and driver took us to La Miel where we had a tour guide who knows the Natural Reserve Hike, Lena. Lena is from the area and informed us (guide Maria interpreted for us) of the area, the flora, fauna and geography and history. The hike can be almost treacherous, but as an agile, 72 year old, I did well and enjoyed this. Go when not too hot - we were lucky to have a light rain early on - watch your step and enjoy the views - superb and well worth doing! Loved it.

Great Pablo tour ! Highly recommend
Luis Reyes is a tour guide who provides an exceptional experience for those interested in the history of Pablo Escobar. His personal connection to the era, as the son of a policeman during Escobar's reign, adds a unique perspective to his tours. Luis is not just a guide; he is a storyteller, weaving together the facts and anecdotes of Escobar's life with his own family's experiences. His commitment to sharing the real story shines through in every detail he recounts, creating a vivid and immersive experience for his audience. Beyond his knowledge and storytelling skills, Luis is incredibly welcoming and personable. He creates a comfortable atmosphere for his guests, encouraging questions and dialogue throughout the tour. Overall, Luis Reyes provides a tour that is not only informative but also emotionally impactful, leaving a lasting impression on those who take the journey with him.

          Great tour and exceptional guide
We had a fantastic day- the coffee experience is enjoyable and unforgettable (also, if you get the chance to eat there then their food is amazing). Jardín is just as pretty as we had been led to believe. For us, the highlight of the day was our tour guide, Daniel, who was likeable, interesting, knowledgeable and fun. The time when we were travelling between locations passed quickly due to how exceptional he was at his job.

This is actually the second cathedral on this site. The first one was constructed relatively shallow and it was partially destroyed by water. As a result the decided to build another cathedral but this time deeper - and this is the one we saw. You walk down a tunnel into the mine shaft and then start walking the various stations of the cross until you eventually get to the main cathedral apse. It is quite amazing actually and well worth the effort. The walk and the steps inside are not that strenuous so you can easily do it.
As a geologist I enjoyed seeing the various salt “deformation” structures.
If you are in the area you should make the effort to do this attraction.

I wasn't expecting much, but it's actually a great place to visit. The audio guide is really well done. You start off by visiting small chapels and then there's a build up to the finale, the cathedral.
