About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 685Cameron_D0 contributionsGreat tripStarted in Bogota, Toured the city & museums, went to the Salt Cathedral, and the scared lagoon. Flew to Medellin, Tour of city, Commune 13, Guatape and El penol. Flew to Santa Marta, hike into Tayrona Park and Cabo San Juan. Next off to Barraquilla and two days at Carnival. Final stop was Cartagena with a city, fortress and convent tour. Amazing sequence of events with too many positive memories to list here. All in all a great tour and highly recommended to anyone.Written March 13, 2025
- AnnaML20160 contributionsEnriching experience in Egipto neighborhoodIt was an extraordinary experience. Our guide Gildardo (Gigio) was very knowledgeable and his English was excellent. We were deeply impressed by the people who shared their life stories with us.Written February 17, 2025
- L9758KIsheilab0 contributionsExcellent long layover tourThe 6 of us had a 11 hour layover in Bogota so scheduled layover tour with Impulse. It was excellent. Impulse was very organized during the entire process and quickly responded to answering all of my questions. We were picked up from the airport, the tour was excellent, they were flexible to center it around our desires, and we were returned to the airport with plenty of time to catch our next flight. I highly recommend our tour guide (though I forget his name, was it Raul?) and also recommend Impulse.Written February 16, 2025
- MCTMASE0 contributionsThe best views of beautiful BogotaI recently had the opportunity to complete this hike through Bogota's East Hills and it was a wonderful experience. My guide Samuel was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the regeneration and biodiversity projects in this area. He also spoke excellent English. The hike itself is not that challenging if you are fit, are acclimatised to the altitude and have appropriate footwear, which means you can focus on enjoying the beautiful views, meeting the friendly trail dog and taking in all the flora and fauna. It was also nice to meet some of the young locals who help maintain the trail as part of their community, some of whom have positively transformed their lives as part of this social project. This was one of the highlights of my trip to Bogota and I highly recommend it for those who love getting outdoors and seeing a view of Bogota that not many tourists see.Written February 13, 2025
- elliots3630 contributionsSuperb Colulumbian Odyssey, perfectly planned and realized. We are older experienced travelers who prefer to travel as a couple rather than in a group. With the help of a peerless trip arranger, Felipe Cardona, we designed a 17 day "tasting menu" trip of many places in Columbia. Among the places we visited were, Bogota, the Andes near Bogota, Leticia and the Peruvian Amazon, Medellin, Jardin, Santa Marta are and ruins and Cartagena. To sum up our experience: superb and very wothwhile. Every place we went we were greeted by knowledgeable and personable guides, on-time and excellent drivers, very nice accommodations and food, and consistently involving activities. In particular the many guides we met, Dianna, Johnny, Will, Gabo, Doriel, Monica, Catherine, Victoria and others enhanced our experience and provided very professional and personable interactions. To get to these diverse places and return home we took 10 flights, mostly with Avianca without incident or delay. We would strongly recommend a trip like this, perhaps with a day longer stay in certain locations to anyone who requires personalized service and excellent responsiveness to a travelers needs.Written February 10, 2025
- 946careya0 contributionsFive star day with Jhovanny!!Jhovanny was our super guide! From the moment we stepped in the van, he began explaining the history and geography of the mines, the cathedral, and the surroundings. He tailored the tour to our interests and made sure we were always comfortable and safe. Five star day!!!Written February 6, 2025
- Navigate037806873120 contributionsA critical visit of social conseuence off the path of most touristsThis is an amazing opportunity experience first hand the living conditions and to learn about the violent history and the path many of the residents have chosen to achieve a more peaceful environment. It is a work in progress, but the results, to date, are impressive. One learns about conflicts and resolutions from different perspectives. The tour guides are sincere and willing to answer even difficult questions. The symbolism associated with the graffiti in the area is explained and touches one's heart. This is truly an opportunity to see a part of Bogata missed by most tourists, where your emotions will be challenged!Written January 30, 2025
- rabbiadenab0 contributionsMust See in BogotoI was so impressed by how this community is trying to forge a brighter future for itself and especially its children. After being neglected by the rest of Bogota, the citizens of Egipto are working to make peace in their neighborhood, beautify their streets, stay out of jail, and learn a viable trade. Please come and support this inspiring community!Written January 25, 2025

- Joc C0 contributionsAwesome experience, great hosts!Very collaborative providers, both the agency and the hosting hotel & guides. We did the 5-day experience which includes a day of activation and a rest day at the end where you can visit local hot springs/pools. This was a very special experience. I had wanted to come to this area for a long time and feel like we received the red carpet treatment all around. I especially want to recognize the Caminante hotel/hostel, where we stayed and where our guides were sourced from. This is a family run business and the family are truly a special group. Doña Marta, and her sons Carlos, Ivan, and Jovani, were very personable, competent, and accommodating, holding our hands every step of the way. We were able to complete the three hikes, and were fortunate to have good weather during our stay here. Several things to keep in mind are that you’ll definitely want to acclimatize before going up into the park to explore the glaciers and lakes. This tour includes a first day of acclimatizing to a local peak near the town which has a mellow 4 mile hike. The 3 longer hikes are generally 8-10 miles round trip and take you up to around 15 to 16,000 feet above sea level. Also, in hiring the guides it meant that they took care of all the paperwork and permitting with the park. The guides are required by the park. With several of the other guests at the hotel our hosts were helpful in coordinating some TLC in terms of some of the ailments that came up for other guests, including typical travel bugs and exhaustion on the mountain. This is definitely a more strenuous experience and something that will interest people who love trekking and exploring off the beaten path places. On the trail you’ll definitely find others because they’re really only three trails open in the park and each day they allow between 80 and 140 people on the trail depending on which trail you pick. 95% of the travelers out there on the trail or Colombians who are incredibly friendly and upbeat. Also, you may want check out the AllTrails app about hikes in the Cocuy National Park where I’ve posted some more detailed information about each of the 3 trails/hikes featured on this tour.Written January 11, 2025
- MesutoO0 contributionsDriver was not there on arrivalI would not recommend this operator. I was told upon arrival I would be greeted by the driver with a sign of my name. There was no driver on arrival. I had to call the operator and they had to call someone to pick us up. We had to wait over 30 minutes. The driver did not arrive with a sign. They clearly forgot about us.Written December 27, 2024
- India J0 contributionsStunning views! What an amazing tour! Let’s start by talking about the beautiful drive up the mountainside of Bogotá, simply amazing! The authentic breakfast snack (arepa) and drink we had before the hike, were really tasty. The hike exposes you to timeless and breathtaking moments and views. Further, the hike requires a certain level of fitness, so please be aware when booking. There is a physically demanding aspect to this tour. However, it is worth the trek! Most importantly, our tour guide, Gigio, was the best!! Gigio was very knowledgeable and provided valuable information about the region, the country, and its history. Also, Gigio did a great job of making sure we took breaks and pointing out picturesque moments, and he provided recommendations to delicious restaurants and must-see attractions around the city. In all, if you are a nature loving, thrill seeker, this is a must do tour in Bogotá!Written December 26, 2024
- Scott E0 contributionsYou HAVE TO take this tour! This was an incredibly authentic tour. What made it even more special is you have former gang members talking about the the rivalry and the neighborhood and the transformation and how they got shot with guns and spent time in prison and I mean it was really, really unbelievably authentic. It was, I highly recommend it for everybody.Written December 21, 2024
- Scott E0 contributionsThe tour was perfect, Raul was incredible! My guide was Raul, he was incredible. You always know if you had a good tour that when the tour is over, you are friends with the guide. I can confirm, he's a good friend now. The restaurants you visit are very authentic and the stories along the way are wonderful.Written December 13, 2024

This bike tour was the best way to understand the complexities of Colombia in a very experiencial and fun way. My guide andres was super knowledgeable and accomodating. He speaks great english and transmitted with a lot of passion his deep knowledge about Colombia. It was great to hear so many anechdotes and small details that are everywhere but are unpercieved until a guide like him makes them visible. I really recommend this trip for anyone visiting Bogota, specially if it is your first time and if you will travel the rest of Colombia. (take this ideally at the start of your trip)

I swear I had the best time on this tour. It’s was really nice experiencing Bogota from two wheels. Our coordinator made sure no one was left behind. There was always a 2nd person bringing up the rear to assure no one would lose their way. I suggest bringing an empty backpack. You will definitely want to load up on all the different varieties of fruit. The prices are mind blowing. Thank you Bogota Bike Tour for showing us an amazing tour of your city.
Please remember what goes down, must go up. The ride down was a breeze. The ride up became a great workout especially with the Altitude....... ENJOY THE RIDE!!

We were fortunate to do this tour on a Sunday when many streets are closed to traffic. The tour was well planned, bikes were very good quality, so were helmets. Great itinerary, some good eats and drinks along the way, and we stopped to play a classic Colombian game. It was for sure a highlight of our trip to Bogota.

The guide was good , the coffee amazing the bike sucked !!! It was hard to pedal and keep up despite my efforts stopping for one of the street mechanics . If you are going to run a place that makes the money out of bikes I would assume the bikes would be In a good shape ! I was frustrated and very mad about it. And also when I got to the address “they had close called the cel phone in a restaurant nearby and no answer . Would not recommend unless they get better bikes

This is very unfortunate, from the 5+ years we have been working with this provider, we have never had a complaint about the condition of the bikes. I will let the provider know about your comment so that we are always providing the best service. Cheers

The bike tour was so much fun!! My husband & I booked a private tour and when the guide who was to take us was sick on the day of our tour, the owner of the company took her place. We rode all over Bogota, looking at the amazing street art, the architecture of the city, learning about Bogota's culture & history. We rode our bikes through diverse neighborhoods that we never would have known about. What a buzzing and vibrant city! It was an awesome experience!

I booked this tour only one day before. I’ve done cycle tours in several cities and I really enjoy them. This place was really difficult to find. The Uber dropped me off close by and I paced up and down trying to find it.
After twenty minutes of still not finding it, I sent a message to the tour operator. Then I tried again. I went into the building only to be told this wasn’t the place. The staff don’t speak very good English which is ironic when this trip is catered for tourists.
So I left there and went on another walk to find the location. Google maps were not wrong, the building I entered surely was the place, the staff were just clueless. I asked to speak to the manager and he then said he’d phone his friend 😆😆😆. The friend turned out to be an employee of the company Miguel. The sign was hung on a hook outside the building but had not been there when I was trying to find the location. Either that or the wind had rotated it thus hiding the vital information?
So while I waited for him, because I was early incase of hiccups, I sat in the restaurant. The manager asked if I wanted to order anything? Sure I said, do you have a menu I could understand? No was the reply, photo’s, recommendations? Still no, so I ordered coffee as you could point to that lol.
Miguel turned up shortly after and immediately I felt at ease. What a really nice guy. Informative, friendly and very empathetic. We chose our bikes and set off on the tour. It was just the two of us. He knows every inch of the city and is very experienced. He’s a credit to the company.
He even told me how coffee is produced and manufactured. He is a proud patriotic Colombian and this is exactly what you need on a tour like this. A full five hours we spent seeing the highlights of the city. We started out as strangers and by the end of the tour we were friends. Highly recommended and five stars. 🌟💯💯💯🙏🏽🇨🇴🚲

I loved the Bogota bike tour - a great way to cover more ground than on foot and pass through and visit many interesting places that a tourist might not immediately go to. Our guide told us about current societal and political matters, as well as historical, so you learnt a lot about the country and people. We stopped a a market to try endless delicious fruits, and stopped for coffee and chocolate. A great tour, highly recommended.

The bike tour is worth the money. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and provided a lot of historical information about Bogota. The stops were great. The Farmers Market where we tried a few different fruits, the coffee roasting shop where we sampled the coffee, and the last stop where we played the national game of Tejo.
Enjoyed the company too. There were a total of five of us so it was very intimate.
Note: Annik, if you read this review please email me at delgado.rick@gmail.com :-)

One of the best things about Bogota is its rich history, diverse neighborhoods and friendly people - the bike tour provided us with the opportunity to see much of the city, including leisurely stops at Plaza Bolivar, local coffee plant, "Tejo" (Columbia's official national game) Bar and local market. Our guide embraced the role of teacher and was responsive to the particular interests of each rider in the group, while making sure everyone appreciated the unique art, music and food that characterizes the capital city!
