On our first day in La Paz; in the absence of a free walking tour, my girlfriend discovered this option available as a way to see some of the city. We had planned on simply riding the cable cars for a bit anyway, and figured that this would be a better way to do it with a group of fellow travellers and a local guide to explain some of the sights and history to us as well. Plus: the cost of the tour was only a little more than the cost of the rides would have been anyway, and rides are included in the tour.

The small group of around eight of us departed from the centre on time to take a minivan up to the train station. It's a bit bizarre that they meet by the cathedral instead of just at the station, but it was not much of a problem and the guide, who I believe was called Daniel (could be wrong) filled us in on how the tour would work and how La Paz public transport operates in general. It was a neat ride up the mountain to El Alto, right over the general cemetery, before a little walk around the centre of the other city and the witches market.

Otherwise, much of the rest of the tour was spent going along most of the lines from start to finish, with Daniel explaining to us all of the views, sights, and histories of La Paz and Bolivia in a friendly and informative manner. We finished halfway up the hill from where we started, which worked out well for us as we were only a few blocks from our hostel. It's worth visiting the company store, where the tour ends, anyway: they have a wealth of other activities, information, and trip ideas to browse through.

Sure, you could just ride the cars yourself and save maybe a dollar or two, but this was is far more informative and the group was a lot of fun. A good find for us, and definitely worth the money.

This tour exceeded my expectations in every way. First time visitor to La Paz. Wanted to see the city from the cable car system. What better way than with a guide who shared some amazing tidbits about the city. I feel I can appreciate this city even more. But let me also tell you about their customer service. Remember, I said I was a first time visitor. The meeting point said San Francisco Church across from La Republica Galleria. I went to San Francisco Square, and for the life of me, did not see the Republica Galleria (but it is there. I found it later!). So their site showed a link with the address and I started walking and walking and walking--it turns out further away from the actual meeting place because my mapping program was lame. I realized I was not going to make the tour and called to see if I could be put in the later tour and also confirm the meeting place because I didn't think my mapping program was working properly. The person at the agency asked where I was, explained I was close to the starting point, (the tour starts at San Francisco Square and takes public transportation to the red line so tourists can experience local transportation (I'm sorry I missed out on that part) and the boss said she would send the guide to me. In around 20 minutes, the guide was at my side. It turns out I was the only person for that slot so I ended up with a private tour. Even better. But I truly must say, it was my fault for not understanding the meeting point: SAN FRANCISCO SQuARE in front of SAN FRANCISCO CHURCH is totally the place to meet. But despite my ignorance, this company did everything in their power to connect with me and offer an incredible time seeing the sights from the Teleferico system. I'd definitely book with them again. The price included the tickets to the cable cars and I thought the price for the tour was a bargain. Thank you so much for a great tour.

Really enjoyed my cable car tour of La Paz. My guide, Claudia, was very knowledgeable and passionate about La Paz. I personally thought the tour was much better than touring the cable cars by myself as Claudia was able to explain what neighbourhoods, buildings and landscapes I was looking at. The ticket includes all the cable car tickets as well as the bus fair to the main station. I was also grateful the company changed my booking to a different date, free of charge, when I fell ill.

Riding the cable car system (mi teleférico) is a must do activity. It was on my list on things to do and was my favorite city activity. For approximately $2.USD I bought a ticket to do a circle trip from my apartment. The ticket was good for two hours and I thoroughly enjoyed the bird's-eye view of many parts of the city. I had lunch at the chicken place in the cable car stop at the top of the city called Los Altos and really enjoyed lunch with a fantastic view of Mount Illimani. I rode five different colored lines and each transition was completely accessible with helpful monitors to make sure I was on the right line. Riding the teleférico is a very easy and stress-free thing to do.

Up high on the cable car you certainly get a full appreciation for the layout of this high city. I highly recommend going to the end of the yellow line. After you exit turn left and walk along the long walkway with floor to ceiling windows for an excellent view of the entire city.

Probably my favourite city tour ever. Our guide, Fernando, was engaging and fun, and seeing the city using La Paz's cable cars was awesome. One section of the orange line was down, so we got to experience another staple of the La Paz transit system, the private minivan. We saw enough without being overwhelmed, the perfect amount of time.

It was a perfect tour for seeing La Paz and its cable cars. Our guide Alfie was amazing, full of enthusiasm, willingly answering any questions we had, telling stories about the city. I myself do not like big cities very much, but after a tour with Alfie I wanted to spend more days in La Paz. A guide like that will make you fall in love with the city.

We were only in La Paz for a short time so thought that we would do the cable car tour to see as much as possible during our time. We had tour guide, Alfie, who was really great, knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you may have. The group was only 3 of us so it was very personal and easy to get around. If you’re in la Paz - I would HIGHLY recommend doing this tour.

Went on this tour yesterday and Vale, our tour guide, was great. Learnt so much about La Paz and got an insight into the culture of Bolivia. We considered just riding the cable cars without a tour but we would have missed out on so much, definitely recommend :)

I've done loads of city tours around the world and this was undoubtedly the best. I was lucky enough to have the legendary Alfie as my guide. No-one else turned up so it was one to one. Alfie's knowledge and loyalty to his country was great. He was enthusiastic and really positive about La Paz, what it has achieved in the last few years and where it is going.. Who would have thought of doing a city tour from the air ? They have carefully chosen sections of 6 of the 10 cable car lines to give a circular tour. And 2 hours for 50 Bolivarios ! What a bargain. Thanks Alfie, it was great.
