          Punta del Este 2024
Lora did her best to make the tour interesting and understandable for us. It is a misstatement to say it is in English. With that said it was very interesting to see the country between Montevideo and Punta del Este. The tour gave us a good over view of the city as well as the area along the drive. We took a different route back to Montevideo to avoid Carnival traffic. That was a big plus for us to view the countryside. Thank you again. Lora.

Multicultural dance show mixing tango and samba
The program well introduced various cultural dances and songs of Uruguay. However, some of the dancers were out of synch and the food was less than mediocre. To the location’s credit, we attended the show on Christmas Eve’s eve (December 23rd) so maybe the usual dancers and cook were not working that day.

A business that you can trust
I was searching for a private tour as we were going to be docking at this port. I came across them and booked the tour. Sadly, because the weather was bad and the sea was very choppy, the ship couldn't anchor in the bay, and they felt it to be unsafe to use the tender boats. So the Capt had to make the hard call to cancel the port and sail on... which meant we would have no stop and no tour. Top private tours responded to my message, informing them of the state of affairs. They very promptly responded and refunded me my entire money without my even asking for it. So it's good to be aware that people like these are trustable businesses to deal with and support. Thank you for your honesty and integrity hope to come back again soon.

          Was not the best tour
We waited to much for passengers not only at pick up locations but at places where we got out. The english spoken person was not very clear. Yes we saw places we have not seen yet but it was not our favor tour.

A nice educational afternoon in Montevideo
A very nice, congenial group. Our guide was terrific, explaining everything we saw and lots of interesting historical information in perfect English, Spanish and Portuguese

          Good day out!
Great day around Montevideo- we got to see a bit of the city and stop for a view photo ops. We did the tour on our first day so it gave a nice overview.

          Day Trip to Colonia
Pick up around 0800, leave Montevideo around 1000, arrive to Colonia around 11:30. Visit a small farm where you see the collections of the owner and his wife as well as try marmalades and cheeses from their farm. This is a good time to stretch your legs and go to the bathroom. Back on the bus around 12:00. Make a stop at the bull fighting amphitheater/athletic complex to take pictures. Next stop is the Colonia sign for your selfie and pictures. Then you stop at the main part of town. Spend about 4 hours in town - the lighthouse, old town, shopping, and food. (Make sure to bring wet wipes to use when you go to the bathroom. The bus goes away to the bus lot so if you don’t go in the bus bathroom, you’ll need to use the public restrooms in town.) Leave around 4:15pm. Ride back to Montevideo is about two hours then they drop everyone off at their hotels. I arrived to mine at 6:45pm and I was the first dropped off.

          Scam
We booked a tour about 2 months in advance . The night before we asked if we can optional wine tasting , but they said no, which is ok, ot was last minute . The day of the tour the driver was there on time: the problem was he did not speak English and used good translate and he was just a driver and not a tour guide. Using google translate he told us the tour guide got sick, which happens but the travel company never notified us . We emailed the company right away and told them we won’t take a tour . No answer . We heard back after we asked Viator for a refund as we paid for 2 adults and one child more than $300 for a tour that we never took . The owner of the company lied and told Viator we still took the tour , which we never did . He was quite nasty in his emails . We ended up arranging a last minute tour with the hotel , twice cheaper . Viator gave us a refund for 75% but not the full amount . I have been to 64 countries and never had such a terrible experience with any travel agency .

          Best of Montevideo
Such a clean place to visit. The long coastal beaches were clean. The view was stunning. The tour stops you at the square where the President office is, Canadian embassy, very relaxing tour

          Airport Limo
Very pleasant driver with a very clean car, trip was a lot shorter than we expected as airport was not too far from Montevideo.

          Perfect tour for the money!!
Perfect tour for the money - they covered the old town and the beach resorts plus many landmarks in between. Both driver and guide were well-prepared and hopefully well-tipped!!

What a great half day tour we had. We were a group of ten on a cruise circumnavigating South America and chose this half day experience through Top Private Tours. We actually booked three different tours through them and all of them were great. Fernando, the owner, was very responsive, organized and helpful. Our wonderful guide, Elina, was a treasure. She was very knowledgeable, spoke good English, and clearly loves her beautiful city. She answered all our questions and showed us so many great sites in our short time frame. We saw all the sites promised in the tour description plus went to a local market that was very interesting. By the time we were dropped off at the port we all remarked how lucky we were to have chosen this company. I highly recommend taking this tour. Thanks again Elina and Fernando. It was a day to be remembered.

          Beautiful Restaurant
We stopped by the hotels' restaurant, and oh my gosh! We received the best service, and such yummy food. We enjoyed brunch with a beautiful view, mimosas, and five star service. Thank you so much for our experience!

A place called Punta del Este!
Punta del Este is a worldwide recognized tourist destination. The uruguayan city is surrounded by beaches and has a wide hotel capacity, it stands as one of the most chosen tourist destinations in the summer in the southern cone. The peninsula stands out for having two beaches, one of the Rio de la Plata and the other of the Atlantic Sea. The locals are very friendly and there is a wide range of activities, a casino on Gorlero Avenue, a large number of restaurants where you can taste the famous Uruguayan goat. its beaches are beautiful and its people too.
