- ervinadeligusti0 contributionsWonderful experienceI had wonderful to experience with Capital Gate Tourism. Start from the pick up, the person who pick us up is Mr. Khalid he is also our guide. He was very nice, helpful, friendly, informative, offering assistance, and overall he was great. We start the trip with desert dunes ride, it was so fun. Mr. Khalid really Pro driving in desert dunes, even though I feel scare a bit but I have no worries cause he is very professional. When we arrived he was explained about the rundown activities and they welcome us with Arabic coffee. My mom took henna painting, my husband and I took the ATV riding, play it with camel and after that watching falcon show together with all guest. Next in sunset time there was camel show, that show how people in old time use to ride camel as transportation with old time back sound and wonderful sunset view. Dinner time, they provided very testy food. They have buffet and some grilled. All the food was so good and testy my favorite one is the dessert with coconut milk taste . They also have some performances. start from Egyptian dance with light dress, fire attraction, and belly dance. Next is the Shisha time under the tent with camp fire and closing with lay down watching the sky without any lights for few minutes. Thanks for Capital Gate Tourism for making our safari desert trip Wonderful and Memorable. I will 100% people around me to take trip with Capital Gate Tourism cause they really exceed my expectations.Written March 3, 2023

I enjoyed this trip very much! The dune bashing was very professional and exciting with Ahmed! Ahmed also took the best picture with desert background. The sand boarding is good if you climb at the top. The dinner also fits you if you are vegetarian. You will be offered beverages in cans CocaCola/Fanta/Sprite. I also enjoyed Arabic coffee and regular coffee. The Belly dance was spellbinding. Thank you!

A friend of mine recommended Capital Gate to take my guests for the desert safari experience. I was impressed with the well organized tour and kind staffs. Joy who arranged my trip was really helpful and gave me better options for the vehicle pick up and drop off. A big Thank You for Khalid, who welcomed us with a big smile and gave us recommendations on the best way to spend our time at the camp. The camp is clean, food was great, the view was amazing. Highly recommended if you are looking for a well organized and yummy food safari 😁

Had a great time on the safari with our friends and two teenagers. Our driver Ahmed picked us up on time and answered lots of our questions about the UAE. Ahmed then stopped at the camel farm and allowed us to stroke and feed the camels before taking numerous photos of us on the sand dunes, which he didn’t seem to mind at all. We then went into the dunes on what felt like a rollercoaster ride for fifteen minutes, it was brilliant! What a skill for the drivers to be able to do that!
Finally we headed to the camp where there were lots of things to do such as camel rides, sand boarding, henna, traditional dress, shisha and then dinner! The only thing that wasn’t great was the weather as it was cloudy, but thats out of our control. If you can it’s better to go on a clearer night so that you can see the stars! Other than that great trip!
Thanks Ahmed and capital gate!

We have done a desert safari with capital gate and another company and capital gate was much better. The camel farm was excellent compared to the other tour we did, baby camels and lots of camels. The Jeep were comfortable and new. Camel ride was better and the camp was excellent!

I am an Abu Dhabi resident (ex-pat) and have been lucky enough to have hosted several rounds of visitors since moving here. In doing so, I have used 4 different desert safari companies, Capital Gate being the 5th. Of all the companies, Capital Gate gave me the best experience so I went back a second time. Here's what I appreciated more about them:
1. Family owned AND operated: It is not often you see Emiratis working in service sectors and this is the only safari company I have used that had Emiratis working there. This adds a more authentic feel to the interactions with the staff, which is rare in the UAE. They are friendly and willing to chat with you, answer questions, etc. so I encourage you to get to know them a bit, as general tourists will have limited opportunities to engage with locals while visiting.
2. Traditional Bedouin dance: In addition to the traditional belly dance show, the Emirati men, mentioned above, also perform a traditional Bedouin dance. THIS IS A RARE TREAT. In the same spirit as above, this is a more authentic element to the evening, despite some of the other popular music played, and is really endearing to observe. Major points for this and a main reason why I took a second set of visitors.
3. Lovely dunes: Yes, this is the desert, but some of the dunes at other camps I have seen are too tall to entice you to climb (if you're not into it), and this camp had 2 of different sizes that were scalable. Also, the most amazing sunset since I have lived here I experienced tonight on their dune.
4. Cocktail Bar: Some desert safaris will have them, but it's not customary. So, if you fancy a cocktail, this is a good company to go with.
5. Falcons: Other companies usually only have one or two falcons for the show and photos, but this one has 5! They do a good demonstration of how well the birds are trained and have a feeding show with photo opps afterwards. The first time I went, there was a modern take on falconry which used a drone-like thing to cue the bird. I didn't really understand that but it was still cool, haha.
6. Food: Delicious!
7. Shisha/Hookah: Not all safaris offer this, so it's a nice addition!
Areas to improve:
1. No need to play popular music during the evening; it throws off the ambiance. Most of the time Arabic music is playing in the background but during part of the belly dance pop music starts, and it is a bit awkward.
2. There is no specific host/emcee. This isn't a bad thing, however, it would be helpful to have someone greet us on the microphone on arrival, explain some background perhaps about the company, the role of falconry to Bedouins, why camels are part of the culture, etc. just to make it more of an experience with facts and takeaways. Adding a bit of the educational component would enhance the quality of the experience, especially since this culture is closer to this company since they are Emirati.
3. The camel ride is very short, so when possible, perhaps offering a bit longer of a ride or a camel tour around the camp would be good, too.
Overall, a great experience that I highly recommend. In fact, when I go back a third time, I hope to get a discount on my ticket, haha :)

hi!!!! i am travelling with a friend but due to an accident she will not be coming to safari... does it worth to go on my own??? has anyone been solo??
Written January 21, 2019
My husband and I would love this! However, I am recovering from a fractured wrist and pelvis so dune bashing would not be advised. Is there a way I could still go and still participate in the other activities..... would it be possible for
me to get dropped off at the camp and then my husband and others could do the dune bashing??
