About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- bahf0 contributionsOne of most beautiful airports I have ever been toFantastically built and very practical. Lots of resting places and very clean. There were janitors standing by the toilet waiting for constant cleaning. The little green area looks like a tropical forest and it makes the experience so pleasant. Lots of shops and restaurants with good food. Lots of gates and very clearly signed and guided. I spent 8 hours due to long connection time between my flights and enjoyed every minute of it.Written September 6, 2024
- robertdJ2046OW0 contributionsDo not transit in DohaNot a good experience, slow and inefficient. Signage is unclear and whilst staff are polite they do not seem to be well informed. The business / first class lounges are bizarre. They are huge and uninspiring and working out the entry system is difficult. Normally One World Emerald gains entry to any lounge but not in Doha.Written July 27, 2024
- 70elli0 contributionsDon't exchange any currency in this place. Very nice airport with lots of shops restaurants and much more. Be careful though. In case you are planning to do some shopping and you have any carrency that is not u.s dollars or Qatari riyal dont bother to change it. They'll rip you offWritten July 26, 2024
- janetschmitt10 contributionsLeave plenty of time to transfer.1 hour and 5 minutes is not enough time for a transfer. BEWARE - this is a large airport and Qatar airways are really really disorganised. Leave at least 2 hours or more if you are transferring through Doha airport.Written March 25, 2024
- GrandTour185258528500 contributionsDoha tourHad a 10 hour layover in Doha. Great tour for $36.00. Its three hours but it goes by fast. You are able to get out of the bus and walk around. It was 7AM and 105 degrees.Written September 17, 2023
- srujal80 contributionsDoha International Airport & Qatar AirwaysQatar airline one of best flight experiences as well airport peace of architecture best atmosphere created by Qatar especially the garden area really beautiful lounge choice are great I would highly recommend stopover or take connecting flight from Doha airportWritten August 28, 2023
- 887royp0 contributionsDoha AirportThis Airport is well maintained. Clean throughout and very huge. Everything is sign posted and the staff are helpful. The Airport has a large array of shops.Written August 10, 2023
- jschel20180 contributionsQatar / Doha the worst and most customer-unfriendly airline/transfer point.Qatar the worst and most customer-unfriendly airline and transfer point of the world. Never use Doha for connecting flights! Qatar Airlines aims to leave a positive, memorable experience for their customers with travellers. I cannot agree with this at all, and I will certainly never fly with Qatar again. Completely through no fault of our own, but caused by the crowds at and around the airport and slow off-boarding made it impossible to catch a connecting flight.(transfer security point) The unfriendly helpfulness of the ground staff and the Qatar airline even afterwards to resolve things leaves a lot to be desired. No refund of our expenses incurred rebooking our flight and a 7-hour delay. I am very displeased about the service offered by Qatar airlines and the will to resolve anything. So my advice to everyone never fly Qatar and don’t change flights on Doha if you can avoid it!Written March 10, 2023
- SANJIV K0 contributionsDoha Airport transferDoha airport ar Qatar is so so big and humongous I’ll never go again especially without wheel chair assistance It’s so big they use Golf buggies to drive around and then you have multiple passengers in these buggies and dropping each one of them around takes ages like in my case eventually The airport is so big that I met multiple passengers crying and pleading to my driver to drop them to their gates!!! Imagine running passengers in real tears 😭 You need 3/4hrs transfer times at Doha at least only for transfers!! Forget about shopping or food or picture snapping in there even in 3/4hrs! It’s so badly BIG!! Tell your family and friends about this while transiting via Doha Airport And then instead of having an aero bridge attached to the plane ✈️ at Doha Airport they made everyone climb up the airplane stairs just like a low cost budget airline would do So imagine poor passengers lugging up with their luggage inspite of a brand new humongous airport and that too while entering a big plane like A350 with approximately 350 passengers! Anyways the A350 is so crap and badly designed so small loos even compared to a Boeing 787 which are so much better and a lot less noisier I was so taken aback by the noise levels of this A350 while in the early part of flight and so crap looking interiors!! Am not surprised Qatar Airways 🇶🇦 cancelled all their A350 orders It’s such a crap plane ✈️ I’ll never fly this model again if I could on any airline 😭🙈😭🙈😮Written January 10, 2023
- harikn0 contributionsA bad experience at the Doha AirportWe ,two senior citizens aged 70 plus travelled by Business Class from San Francisco to Hyderabad via Doha on 7 July to 9 July with a transfer at Doha . We had booked by QR 503 connected with QR 738 and requested for wheel chair at all locations. While we had no issue at San Francisco, we faced great difficulty at the Doha Airport during transit at night. There was a window of two hours for the transfer but the flight arrived an hour late at Doha and we had to get down and travel by the airlines bus to the departure terminal for Hyderabad. In spite of our repeated requests to the staff , we were not provided wheel chairs and there was great confusion at the transit point. Finally some lady staff obliged and got us wheel chairs to board the flight for Hyderabad just in time. What surprised us was there was no system to meet such contingency at the Doha Airport publicised as the best airport worldwide. The bad treatment meted out to senior citizens like us needs to be remedied / prevented by the Doha Airport authority.A good in flight experience was spoiled by this negligence at the transfer point.Written August 24, 2022
- Snorkelpippen0 contributionsTerrible securityGoing through security on transfer I caused great consternation because I have a Pacemaker. In the middle of the problems this caused I was told to remove an ACL brace, I wear it because I want to keep it out of my luggage. To cut a long story short, at 1am, 12 hrs into my journey, I forgot to get my brace back and apparently it was destroyed. £500 destroyed, why?Written January 11, 2022
- Paulita2330 contributionsThe best airportUn aereopueeto que no se olvida. Una limpieza alucinante que nunca encuentré en otros lugares del mundo. Policia que apoya mucho a explicarte donde dirigirte. A luxury and smart airport, clean indeed, never seen such similar. Police copes a lot with passengers leading them to the right gatesWritten November 19, 2020
- yasu_kawa-com0 contributionsNot Good service.Arrangement is very bad. Expensive and not good car condition.I recommend TAXI. Doha is TAXI is no problem. Very clean and good drivers.Written November 15, 2019
- jordanelle130 contributionsJamocha Cafe (Qatar airways). Expensive but worth it between fights. The bad: $6.25 for a small flat white. The good: totally worth it as a stop between a 15-hour fight and a 7-hour flight.Written September 10, 2019
- 51gregoryl0 contributionsAllow sufficient transit timeI believe Doha International Airport serves mainly as a transfer hub. People joining the queue into the city Is much fewer than those joining the transfer queue. The terminal is new and very modern looking. More important, it is huge. It may take anything up to 30 minutes (more if the security lines are long) even to reach the centre point, where the huge toy bear is located. Passengers with walking difficulty better ask for help from the airline. A wheel chair will be desirable. There are plenty of shopping attractions. I transferred here on my outgoing as well as return flights during the early hours. The place was absolutely crowded. All shops are open. Desirable to allow two hours for the transfer if you do not want to end up rushing about.Written August 28, 2019
