Explore Lebanon is a wonderful, family run business, which provides incredible day trips at affordable prices. I cannot imagine booking with anyone else when it comes to touring Lebanon. I booked multiple private tours (Tripoli, Dog River/Jeita – Jounieh/Harissa, Mount Lebanon, the Cedars – Gebran Museum – Kozhaya, the Chouff region, Tyre and Sidon, Anjar and Baalbeck, Beruit and a fabulous cooking with Elie’s mum) and had incredible time on each and every tour. Elie (one of the owners of the company) was my host, driver and guide throughout Lebanon and I could not have been in better hands. Elie was simply fantastic. The tours were very well organized, the transportation was clean and well maintained, and Elie was terrific adding flexibility to each day and offering suggestions on experiences that I would not have normally thought of. While the entire trip not only met, but fra exceeded my expectations, the highlights were the AMAZING day at Baalbeck (not enough words to describe the incredibleness of the site) and the day I spent a day with Elie, his mum and sister at their ancestral home in the hills above Batroun learning how to cook some popular Lebanese dishes. To say the experience was unique and one of a kind is an understatement. And Elie’s mum and sister were the epitome of Lebanese hospitality. From the moment we were picked up till our goodbye, I cannot express enough how wonderful Explore Lebanon Tours is. Ellie is very knowledgeable of the local area and culture. During the tour he provided excellent English translations and gave plenty of context before visiting a site. He is organized, timely, and accommodates with your pace. My group visited Beirut Museum, Square/Center, St George Cathedral, Pigeon Rock, Harissa, St Charbel, Hamatoura, and Our Lady of the Seas Monastery. We opted to experience the local food cuisine and Ellie did not disappoint! All the food was DELICIOUS! Most of the dining options he took us to supported local businesses and families, the food itself were organically and locally grown. The best tour company in lebanon. We did two tours in two days and our tour guide Elie was the best. I cannot say enough about Elie, he was professional, punctual and really looked after us as if we were family, a truly genuine person and will definitely be using and recommending this tour company to everyone. Besides the great service Elie was very flexible with time and how long we spent at each location and made sure we were never ripped off when buying from the locals. Elie is very knowledgeable about the locations visited and knew amazing off road spots to view spectacular scenes which made the trip more memorable. I visited Byblos, Harissa, and Jeitta Grotto. Elie (my tour guide) was very punctual on timings and was extremely professional and helpful throughout the tour. He helped show me all the nice places across the three cities — all views were beautiful! I highly recommend this tour, explore Lebanon, and Elie specifically.

I had everything planned for Lebanon back in late 2019/early 2020 and then Covid hit - all with Explore Lebanon Tours. At the time, me and Luka were going back and fourth with emails until it all came crumbling down. Fast forward to 2023, I again made contact with Luka and... he remembered me! He still had all my details, itinerary e.t.c of where I wanted to go! Amazing :) Luckily, I had a friend coming along with me this time (as we were actually going on to Syria after Lebanon - you can read my review of Syria under my profile) which made the day trips in Lebanon even more enjoyable. We booked four tours with them and non of it was disappointing. We had Elie as our driver and guide for three of the four days, and Hussein for one. Baalbek was a definite highlight. We also went on a hike at the Chouf Cedars, visited Byblos, Harissa and the Grotto, Batroun and the star... Mount Lebanon. We specifically wanted to go to Mount Lebanon to see Laqlouq ponds - which required a hike of about 2hrs (including photo time) return. Elie knew exactly where we needed to go and gave us directions. If were went ourselves, would've take a whole lot longer. Non of the mainstream tour operators in Lebanon tend to advertise these nature walks/hike. If you haven't heard of Laqlouq ponds, see my photo. Most just take you to Baalbek, Grotto e.t.c. Explore Lebanon Tours will literally move mountains to make your trip enjoyable and fit everything in as you desire. Elie and Luka were fantastic. I couldn't thank them enough. Luka was lovely with all the prompt communication - even though I never got to meet him! Elie did all the driving - he's a wonderful and safe driver - and was SO patient with us. We took so many photos at locations and Elie never complained. If you get Elie as the guide, you'll be in very good hands :) He's super gentle - he's an ex bar-tender too! Hope we meet again Elie/Luka - if you come to Australia, please say hi!

The team at Explore Lebanon tours were professional from the first contact I made two weeks prior to my arrival , they customised 3 day tours from Beirut giving me diverse experiences which highlighted how many good attractions Lebanon has to offer all just a hour or two from Beirut ! A huge surprise for me . My both drivers Eli & Hussein were both helpful, knowledgeable and I consider safe drivers , Eli at very short notice made possible a 17k hike for me to do with a guide & still keeping my original itinerary. A combined trip to Byblos and Batroun makes for the perfect summer vacation in Lebanon. Just a 20-minute drive from each other, the two towns guarantee enough beach, adventure, and history to keep even the most demanding tourist satisfied. Take the highway northbound out of Beirut, until you reach Byblos. From there, Batroun is less than a 20-minute drive north.

We wanted to add Tripoli to the typical Jeita Grotto, Byblos and Harissa tour but many Beirut tour operators claimed it was not possible to fit this itinerary into one day. We were very appreciative that Explore Lebanon Tours made it happen, thanks to the owner, Luka, and Elie, our excellent driver and guide. Throughout the day, Elie kept us on track to see everything. We took one of the first boats of the day at Jeita Grotto to beat the crowds which gave us some extra time at Tripoli where Elie was very helpful in guiding us to the famous hamman and soap factory. After this we arrived in good time at Byblos where we spent an enjoyable afternoon at the archaeological site and in the town center. We finished off the day at Harissa, after which Elie helped us collect luggage from our Beirut hotel and took us to the airport for our flight to Istanbul. We are very grateful to Explore Lebanon and Elie for making this a really memorable final day of our trip. We would strongly recommend Explore Lebanon to other visitors and make sure to request Elie as your driver and guide!

Kozhaya is in a beautiful setting and the last 2-3 km driving to it are breathtaking. We had no idea how beautiful Lebanon is. Elie knew all the best view points.
