- rodtaggart0 contributionsBook now!!!I had an amazing experience from start to finish on this tour. Our tour guide and driver were very thorough and informative. I came for the Tree of Life and was glad for visit the other destinations. Beverages were provided and the bus was comfortable. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is looking to explore and learn more about the history of Bahrain.Written January 18, 2025

- christinegI7876KY0 contributionsA Drive with a Friend...We had an amazing time on our Bahrain tour with Maher. Our tour was customized for the sights we wanted to see and Maher obliged willingly. He is very knowledgeable of the Bahrain history. The best part about our tour was it did not feel like a tour provided by a "tour guide"; we were seeing the sights with a long-time friend. I highly recommend to ditch any tour bus and see the sights with a friend.Written December 20, 2024

- W3634SVmariai0 contributionsDessert trip with Angela!Visit Bahrain half-day dessert tour was a really great decision to see something beautiful while working shortly in Manama. Angela was our tour guide and did a phenomenal job - we really enjoyed all the facts she had for us, but also her jokes and kindness which made the half-day tour amazing. Thank you for everything! :)Written November 11, 2024
- threecasefamily0 contributionsA wonderful tour of BahrainWe really enjoyed this tour with Angela! She was so warm and welcoming and we learnt so much about Bahrain from her. My 6 year old was completely taken with her and she took the time to speak to her as well as all of the others on the tour. The highlight of the tour for us was the Tree of Life, it's a fascinating place and something we were really looking forward to. I highly recommend this tour and if Angela is your guide, you will have the best time!Written November 5, 2024
- Kirsty G0 contributionsNice horses and friendly guidesHorse ride was ok, went to the fort and the water as expected, but the ride to it was rather grim and dirty. We didn’t really experience a stable tour, we just walked through it. No water was offered. On initial booking Viator did not state additional cost for our hotel pick up and nothing about extra cost for a guide if you cannot ride a horse freely. However, the guides were friendly, kind and the horses were lovely. I imagine if you’re able to take the horse out yourself, it may have been more spectator along the water or in the desert.Written November 2, 2024

- 300mrtraveler0 contributionsAbsolutely amazing day tourOne word can describe this day tour...AMAZING with so much seen and done in less than 7hrs. Ravinder and the great safe driver were on point the entire time with included drinks, lunch and snacks. My 2 fav parts of the day were visiting the camels 🐫 and the 400 year old tree. The guide and driver were a dynamic duo today and you can tell they really enjoy their job. A must day tour when visiting this island country.Written October 17, 2024

- Maps623527109180 contributionsThe best of Bahrain in one dayThinking what to do in Bahrain in one day, we bumped into an ad of VisitBahrain travel company and, by chance, booked a full-day tour. Soon we understood, we did the best, that we could. We managed to see a lot just for one day, constantly on the move, fell in love with this tiny country and what is the most important - our tour guide, Angela, a person who were absolutely perfect, comprising warm hospitality of local people and deep knowledge of Bahrain's history, it was she who made that day fascinating and intriguing. Thank you!Written September 17, 2024

This place was amazing! First the people are VERY friendly, the process was really simple and they made sure I was safe and well taken care of! Second, you can tell they care about their horses, and their horses are very well trained. The trail ride was really nice and the sunset was absolutely beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone who’s on vacation here or someone who’s looking for a beautiful/ peaceful experience . I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who’s considering doing this!

My husband, daughter and I had a fabulous time. I had not ridden since I was a teenager. My husband and daughter had never ridden. It was so much fun and relaxing. We had a great time. We’d scheduled for the 4:30 sunset ride. However, I received an email asking if we were amenable for a 3:00 ride. We didn’t mind and it turned out to be perfect. Our guide and my husband and daughter’s chaperone, Jamanuel, was amazing! He’s a professional...Has a great personality and we felt immediately comfortable with him. He took GREAT photos and made us laugh. Our only regret was not having Arabian tea, which I thought was to be included with the costs. Instead, we had snacks with Pepsi’s and water. Nonetheless, I would recommend this tour for all.

I enjoy horseback riding and since I am here in Bahrain for a while I decided to sign up for this trip. I was picked up at the hotel and driven to the stables where I was able to see the horses and asked if I had any riding experience. Since I do have experience I was then directed to pick out a helmet and they would get me a horse ready. Most of the horses available are the horses used to teach students who are learning to ride meaning they aren't high spirited and were slow and steady. The man then had me walk up the steps to mount the horse and let me in the corral to make a lap or two to get used to the horse and how he responded. While I waited for the rest of the group that showed to saddle up, I was able to look around and see the Bahrain Fort in the distance and notice the green of the crops being grown nearby. Once the other riders were all ready we then proceeded to walk out of the corral and through the neighborhood towards the fort. We walked the horses around the fort and towards the museum (which I had toured a few weeks before) and towards the beach. Our group was rather large and not all riders were experienced which led to two of the young ladies having their horses led throughout the tour. Our group ended up being spread out and we didn't get the full ride on the beach as I would have liked. There were also lots of people on the beach as well which didn't help with getting good photos of us on the horses. We then headed back the way we had come and made it back right before it got really dark. After dismounting I was then shown to the waiting area for snacks and refreshments. I had time to look at the photos and articles on the walls as well as look at the trophies that were on the table. Then I was given a gown to put on so I could take photos with the horse (see attached photo) and then was free to leave once the driver showed back up. I did meet a few nice people who were there riding with me and one of the young ladies even took pictures with me. I am planning to go back again soon as it was relaxing riding the horse and going at a slow pace while enjoying the nice weather this time of year.

Simply Excellent!
Ali and the team put our safety and enjoyment at the top of their agenda.
I hadn't ridden in years and they coached me back into it quickly.
My horse was a gem.

The people running the equestrian were very nice. The ride itself by the Bahrain fort and into the beach area at sunset was very nice. After returning to the center after the ride we had chosen the option of Arabic snacks and tea...we were given a Styrofoam container with egg sandwiches and french fries...I just wasn't expecting that. I was thinking more of Arabic treats. That was a disappointment. Then the photo shoot with the decorated Arabian horse...that was interesting..the horse was beautiful, but I was also thinking they would take a nice photo, it turned out we were to just use our phones for the photos.....the pictures were O.K. I think if we went back we would just do the ride. The man running the equestrian center "Alex" was very nice and hospitable. Our driver "Wazeed" from the tour company was very nice and stayed by us the whole time, and a good driver for the company. All in all it was a good time, just the Arabic treats and tea was a let down.

Sadly the times of our horse ride were moved a few times by the organisers and we were picked up eventually at 1.30pm for a sunset ride (in June!), therefore it was far too hot and early for us in the day (and the horses!) to go out. We are awaiting our return of monies as we didn't get to go out on the horses in the end which was a real shame as we had really looked forward to it.

The Sunset Horse-riding is one of our most favorite and wonderful activity on our list. We are so sorry you didn't get to experience it as it should be due to the heat & timing. Very rarely do we get the logistics wrong and a full refund has been made.
We hope to have the opportunity to give you this breathtaking experience at no cost next time you're on the island. It's a must! Still, thank you for your kind review. Your feedback means the world to us.
