3 hours driving from Amman to the south toward the Nabatean Red Rose City of Petra that is considered one of the wonders of the world. A city 139 miles (225 kilometers) from Amman that was carved in stone more than 2000 years ago in order to dominate the trade routes of ancient Arabia. Visit its towns, damns, and water channels and enjoy a walk along the narrow siq, a path which is the main entrance to the city. The first thing you will see is the Khazneh, which was believed to be a tomp for one of the Nabatean Kings. You will also see other monuments such as The Monastery and the Altar of Sacrifice. After lunch you will back to your hotel in Amman.

          Amazing Trip!
Fabulous and a must see when in Jordan. Definitely take the tour! Everyone so friendly and helpful. Great experience. Amman Marriot is a great place to stay when in Amman. Manager Mazen extremely helpful and concierge. Rooms were immaculate. The sitting areas poolside & pool was fabulous for poolside cocktails in the evening. Breakfast buffet and staff were amazing, poolside and ambience was perfect. Only issue was I was looking forward to live music. Lounge and pool were closed that one the main reason I chose Marriot over it’s competitors. I really was really looking forward to pool and live music after long day traveling. Second best Marriot in Jordan for ambience. Stayed at all of them while in Jordan for entertainment and pool Marriot Dead Sea Rocks! Petra Marriot staff were fabulous and breakfast was always beautifully displayed. Staff sang happy birthday in Arabic to my mom and brought her cheesecake. Always super smiley and happy, and accommodating. Gift shop was closed but we shopped in town and met a lot of amazing residents and shop keepers so we didn’t mind. Hotel was immaculate. Will definitely recommend to my family and friends. Restaurant staff brought me these extra strawberries when I just asked for a few for this amazing chia yogurt they make. Don’t look super appealing but tasted amazing. Great views.

Beat of Jordan in 3 Days
First time in Jordan but it did not feel like it. My trip was executed perfectly as it was planned and according to how I wanted it. The guides with us were very knowledgeable and caring and made everything possible to make our trip enjoyable and comfortable. We made some special requests that were not part of the plan but were also accommodated. I will definitely recommend them and chose them again on my next trip

A great introduction to Amman, at your own pace.
We chose the 3-hr Amman city tour, no guide, and it ended up more like 4 hours. Very fair price, at $50 for four people in the car. The pace was great and we did not feel hurried. The amphitheater and Citadel were astonishing. I wish we could have skipped the Blue Mosque (King Abdullah mosque.) The mosque itself was interesting, but do try to get out of the high-pressure gift shop quickly. The “handmade” decorative dish I bought (for way too much money) turns out to have been made in China. That's not the tour's fault, though! We got our money's worth and this tour was an excellent introduction to Amman.

Nice quick tour of Petra wadi rum and Dead Sea
The guides and itineraries were good but would like to have more flexibility to manage our time and engage in areas which rank higher in our interests

Can't wait for our return trip!
John was an amazing guide who took care of our every need! He speaks fluent English which was extremely helpful. He arrived on time and kept a great schedule. At the same time, he didn't rush us if we weren't quite ready to take off. He picked us up from our hotel in Amman and drove us to Petra where we had an amazing experience. After Petra, he took us to a restaurant nearby for lunch. He made us feel comfortable in knowing that every restaurant he was taking us to had good quality and clean food. After Petra, we rode to Wadi Rum where we went on a sunset jeep tour. Then we were taken to our camp where we stayed the night. The next day, John picked us up and took us to have coffee at a beautiful scenic spot where you can also buy souvenirs. Actually he stopped at couple of places like this that had unique items that you don't find in town. From there, we drove to the Baptism Site where we stepped into the Jordan River. Throughout the entire trip, he made sure to help us capture special moments. He would take our camera and pose us in certain ways....like a professional photographer! I had mentioned to John that I was looking to find a restaurant that served good Mansaf (traditional Jordanian dish) and he went out of his way on our return to Amman to take us to a restaurant that served amazing food. There were a couple of other additional things we were looking to do and items we wanted to get and he made sure we either obtained them or knew of where to go. He also was kind enough to let us know that if we have any questions or need any translations during our stay, we should reach out to him. If I could give him 10 stars I would! Highly recommend!

Truly memorable experience- Petra, Wadi Rum, Bedouin tent and Dead Sea
This tour was awesome. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and we did it in style. Visiting Petra, 4x4 drive thru Wadi Rum, staying the night at a Bedouin camp site and the Dead Sea resort was a truly memorable experience. Our driver cum guide on this private trip, Omar Asha, was exceptional and he made the whole trip truly special. I would highly recommend getting Omar for anyone taking this tour👏👏

          Only half the ininerary
We were picked up by Omar on time and he was very nice and spoke good English. He took us to the Citadel and Roman Amphitheatre and gave us good pointers on where to go and what to see. Since we are well-traveled and have seen a lot of Roman ruins, I specifically asked We Guide Travel if we would be seeing the old city and a mosque. They replied, "Yes, the King Abdallah (blue) mosque and the old city." However, instead, Omar took us to a local mosque, which was very basic and not interesting. Then, I believe we were on our way to the old city when it began to rain lightly. As we were stuck in traffic, waiting to turn, I saw my hotel and asked Omar "Is that our hotel?" He immediately changed course and brought us back to our hotel instead of finishing our tour. It was rather disappointing. I think he just wanted to go home and not be in the rain.

          Amazing
I literally booked the tour the day before for the next day at 11am. That same evening I get contacted by the driver (Omar) through whatsapp to specify pick up location. A tip, be VERY specific because the driver ended up going to the wrong location even though I send him my exact geolocation through whatsapp. Needless to say he was late not only due to the location problem but also due to traffic. Amman traffic is no joke! Nonetheless when Omar arrived he apologized profoundly and we went on with the tour. You’ll be doing quite a lot of walking so wear comfy shoes! The tour itself does not include entrance fees to any of the places. So keep some cash on you (about 10 JOD is more than enough), because none except credit/debit cards. In my case I had no cash on me, so Omar offered to cover it for me (until we found an atm on route). The experience itself was AMAZING, you will start with the Roman Theater. Omar is very enthusiastic about taking pictures (which is great when traveling solo). When visiting the Citadel, you go about your own way, meaning Omar won’t be there to take your pictures. There was a photographer on site, who upon request can do the hike with you and take your pictures. It cost about 15 JOD (must be paid in cash). I did not have my pictures taken by him because as mentioned before I did not have cash on me, but he did mention that he either emails or sends the pics through whatsapp. The Citadel hike takes about an hour. There is a little refreshments shop inside the Citadel, they do accept credit cards! After the Citadel, you head out to the Mosque. If you’re wearing something that shows to much skin, you get to borrow a free cover. (Regardless of gender, so males wearing shorts will also have to wear the cover). When entering the Mosque you must take off your shoes. You are allowed to take pictures in & outside the Mosque, be mindful not to take pictures of praying people. You will tour the Mosque on your own, afterwards the ladies of the bazaar will show you around and tell you something about a few of their pieces, this is also where you can purchase a souvenir. The bazaar part of the Mosque does accept creditcard! Most of the bazaar ladies are fluent in Spanish next to the usual Arabic & English.

          Amman the capital of Jordan
Great tour of Amman the capital of Jordan with its rich Roman history. The Emperor made it to look very extravagant. There were many Byzanatine churches built. There is a huge amphitherter built into the side of a mountain. The tour also included a visit to a women's association to witness the craft of Jordanian soap making.

          Excellent Introduction to Amman
My niece and I had a fabulous time on this tour with our driver Omar. We visited the Ampitheater, the Citadel and a mosque. Omar was very informative, answered our many questions, and made sure that we were comfortable and enjoying our excursion. This was our first full day in Amman and he provided us with lots of information. I recommend taking this tour as early as possible in your itinerary so that you have an overview of Amman. The historical sites are truly amazing. The Citadel and the archeology museum located there are worthy of an entire day's visit. We highly recommend Omar and this tour.

Guided tour does not mean guided sightseeing spots!
Our dirver was super nice and looked that we always felt perfectly fine. You can feel that this seems the udmost important for the people in Jordan. However, I expected a guided tour, and we get a driver. That is normal in Jordan but i wasn't aware off. Guides needs a license and cost extra. Be aware.

          Couple hour tour of Amman.
Amman Jordan is an amazing place. We really appreciate our driver, Omar. We would like to have had more discussion as we were being driven around about the history and facts of Jordan. Otherwise, it's really just transportation from Point A to Point B. We appreciate the photos with our iphone but we wanted to know more about the people, culture and where we were going.
