What to Expect
You will leave the hotel early in the morning to drive south to the Nabatean Red Rose City of Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, for a classic visit. As you travel, gaze at the desert landscapes and hear tales of Jordan’s history. Hewn into a sandstone valley carved by the Nabatean people some 2,000 years ago, this ancient rose-red rock city located 245 kilometers from Amman at the crossroads of age-old trading routes, to dominate ancient Arabia. Pass by Little Petra, a small rocky valley with carvings, that archaeologists believe acted as the Nabatean’s caravan before heading to the main city and as an accommodation stop for the traders who traveled through the city. Continue to Petra main site to learn more about its magnificent history. On arrival, leave your vehicle, and enjoy a 2-hour tour of this UNESCO Heritage listed wonder with a local guide. First, walk or ride a horse through the famous “siq”, a narrow path of 1.2 kilometers; rock fissure that was once the main entrance to the city, and marvel at your first glimpse of the hauntingly beautiful Treasury “El Khazneh” as the canyon suddenly opens up. Admire this rose-pink masterpiece, originally built to house priceless treasures and capture it on camera. Then, walk through the widening canyon to witness other buildings such as the 3,000-seater Theater, Royal Tombs, and the High Place of Sacrifice: a clifftop altar that was once used for animal sacrifices and other ceremonies. As you explore, listen as your guide describes how the Nabateans sculpted the buildings, and learn how they mastered the harsh desert conditions to make their lives here.

Proceed to discover the delights of the Dead Sea. Travel the desert landscapes to the eastern shores of Sowayma. Visit a water’s edge private beach and enjoy free time to swim in the Dead Sea’s waters; lounge on the beach and absorb the beautiful setting never found elsewhere. Alternatively, you can upgrade your tour to a hotel entry with a wider range of facilities, including several outdoor swimming pools, and a stylish spa offering Dead Sea Mud Treatments including revitalizing body scrubs and massages, which are at client’s own expense. Return to Amman for a hotel drop off.

Great fun!
This is the only trail that was open (20 JD pp). As a family of 4, we opted for a guide, Ali, (39JOD). We could have done it without the guide but appreciated his insight within the trail and help with photo taking. He led all four us through the canyon as we floated on our backs. What a view! The trail takes about 2 hours (there and back). You don’t need a reservation, or to bring anything (unless you don’t look 18- then you need some ID). We wore sneakers or teva’s. It was an expensive day, but worth it!

Great job by Amer
We toured Amman with their guide Amer who did a great job. I made a mistake in scheduling by onward travel and they which required me to stay longer in Jordan and they came up with things to do. Highly recommend.

A delightful trip
Just about everything to do with this experience was good, from contact with ZTT's booking team to being greeted airside at Amman airport and taken to wonderful restaurants and pastry shops by our wonderful driver and guide. Mahmoud was very knowledgeable and personable. He went out of his way to introduce my wife and I to aspects of Jordanian life and culture that we would not have experienced otherwise. His local knowledge made our tour even more comfortable, for example by recommending a change of hotel in Petra to one that was literally at the entrance to the ancient site (and see below for our hotel in Amman). The content of the tour was good, enabling us to see much of what Jordan has to offer. The visit to Wadi Rum was wonderful but brief, leaving us wanting to spend more time there. We managed this by returning from our second-week base in Aqaba, experiencing camel riding, sunset and dinner in the desert - quite magical. The only reservation I have is that the hotel in Amman where we stayed for a total of 4 nights was not of the 4-star standard we expected from our "Prime" tour. It would barely be considered a 3-star hotel by most standards, although the staff were delightful and very helpful. When we mentioned this to Mahmoud after our first night, he immediately negotiated an upgrade for us to a suite. All in all, I have no hesitation in recommending ZTT.

Great time in Jordan
We had a great time in Jordan (me and 2 girls, friend of mine) with this tour. Our driver - Basel - was great, very well disposed and always gave us the best tips. We had a great tour in part thanks to him. We ended up talking a lot and learning about the country during the longer trips. The country is really safe and there are amazing foods, sights to discover - from Jerash to Petra, and culture to unravel. Regarding the tour company we had some misunderstanding with them regarding the dates of our flights through mail, which meant at the end we couldn't get the visa exemption, but we called their emergency number on the very day we were coming to Jordan, just before boarding the plane and they were really nice and arranged the transportation for us to/from the airport. We also never got the detailed document of the itinerary, which would have been helpful. I would like to see included 1 less night in Amman, and 1 extra night in the desert - Wadi Rum.

7 nights, Amman-Petra-Wadi Rum-Aqaba-Dead Sea Private Tour
Zaid Tours are an excellent, hassle-free service and I would highly recommend them for all/any trips to Jordan. They arranged a bespoke private tour, for myself and 3 friends for 7 nights. From the moment we landed until our last day, it was one of best vacations we have had. Akram walked us through the visa process, Basille our driver and guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and always ready to provide insights and information; he arranged many of the tours for us. Petra, our guide Mamoun was wonderful, we had a wonderful time at the Martian camp with the Jeep ride and sunset as well as the stargazing. Aqaba was beautiful and Dead Sea absolutely amazing. Hotel bookings and half board, as well as visa, private transfers to/from airport, local transportation, local guides in Wadi Rum and Petra all included. Don’t hesitate, Zaid tours are an excellent service!!

Great fun canyoning
What great fun. Costing 21 JOD, you don't need a guide or need to book. You can get a guide if you're not confident in water but everybody gets a life jacket and any area of deep water has plenty of ropes to hang onto. There's a waterfall att he end that you can go behind too! It takes about 2 hours to go to the end and get back again. They have lockers that are free - you need to bring your own lock. The canyon is rocky, so you'll need closed-toe, sturdy footwear like hiking sandels or trainers.

We (6) friends had booked this trip from NZ so you aren’t sure how things will go. Our driver Firas arrived early, was very friendly and shared lots of laughs with us. We really enjoyed the Citadel tour, theatre and blue mosque. Top marks to Firas for our Sunday trip, and also monday

Worth the effort !
The walk through the siq and the first sight of the treasury is quite awe inspiring. The remainder of the site is also impressive but with little to see inside it can get hot and tiring as you walk further into the valley. Mo our guide was excellent and gave us a good insight into all things historical. Obviously the place is full of tourists and all the downsides that go with that....the main irritation in Petra being the continual pestering by the locals, which starts with the 'not so free' horse ride and then goes up a few more levels as you get further in. Whilst I understand that any tourist site is a welcome source of income for the locals, the touting in Petra was a turn off and ironically we spent far more at the other sites we visited in Jordan where the locals were far more laid back.

Jordan from North to South
I found Zaid Tours while searching on the web for the best option to visit most of Jordan traveling with my dad on a private tour. Zaid Tours designed the itinerary directly on my wishes and booked part of the hotels during the tour. Everything was perfect, from the pick-up at the airport to the many explanations our top prepared and reliable driver gave us extra wherever we went. Everything contributed to create a close and friendly atmosphere and I have absolutely no doubt that I will call again Zaid Tours for my next trip to Jordan in spring. I cannot but highly suggest this top agency to feel comfortable with every step of your trip. A special mention should be given to our driver Amer, patient, safe and ironic all time - a very good friend in the end. Tiziana, Milan - Italy - 21/26.09.2019

Excellent private tour of Jordan
A group of three of us had been looking forward to visiting the key sites in Jordan for a number of years. In the past we have always planned our own itineraries and managed ourselves. However we saw a tour advertised on Viatours and realised that it almost did what we wanted. I contacted Zaid tours and they came up with an itinerary that was exactly what we wanted and at a good price. From being met at the airport with our visa paperwork, the hotels, trips, local guides were all excellent. The car was comfortable and Basel our driver very soon became an accommodating friend and small adjustments to plans were made throughout the week, either at our request or because it seemed more sensible. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.

A hidden gem
We booked the desert castle tour on a whim and we were delighted that we did so. The driver and tour guide were professional and arrived on time, and talked to us about the region throughout the trip. The desert castles are fantastically well preserved and each has an amazing history attached. The full day trip has plenty of driving, as do all trips in Jordan, but nothing to strenuous and we enjoys a very nice lunch in a local restaurant. In terms of information, the sites have visitor plaques that provide significant details if you don't mind reading yourself, or the tour guide narrated to us as we walked the sites. At each site there is usually a tea tent where you have the opportunity to buy souvenirs, but this is standard anywhere outside of Amman base on our experience and the locals were genuinely friendly and relaxed. The trip is closer to 6 hours than 4 hours unless you rush the site visits.

Amazing Experience
First let me begin with what an amazing customer service from Zain travel. I was fortunate enough to have (Bassam ) as my private driver. Since I had several destinations planned he was with us for all five days. Bassam was amazing, he went out of his way to show up at my hotel and go over my itinerary one day before all my tours and gave me suggestions on how to get more out of our experience. Boy was he right. Not only did we enjoy our trip, he gave us a history brief as we drove thru this amazing and beautiful country, introduced us to great coffee and suggested a Turkish bath. Which was amazing. Especially after a long and enjoyable walk of Petra. Please if you are considering a tour go with zaid tours and request Bassam, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. We did Dead Sea, Mt, Nebo, Jarash, wadi rum, Petra, little Petra, The citadel, Amman sight seeing tour,
