- karen c0 contributionsGreat tour and thank you to our driver KhaledWe had a great time with Khaled as our driver. Perfect English and always waiting for us after our stops. He had the perfect mix of information while still letting us relax is a comfortable car for the journey. Jordan is a beautiful country and the three day tour meant a pleasant journey down, with stops for sites en route to Petra before a full day exploring. Nice hotel in Petra and great overnight experience in Wadi Rum. I would recommend this tour and Khaled to anyone wanting to experience south JordanWritten March 21, 2025

He made us feel welcome in the country and took us to all the beautiful places we can only imagine. He made us feel like we were his friends, rather than just tourists. I highly recommend this trip. It was memorable, the deserts must be experienced to understand how beautiful it all is. Thank you!Written March 16, 2025

He made sure we were comfortable at all times, driving safely and smoothly. Beyond his skills, he treated us with great hospitality, always friendly and willing to help. I will definitely be recommending him, and this experienceWritten March 15, 2025
- Cruiser544257889030 contributions3 day tourFour of us went on the tour and had an amazing time, we had a minibus with plenty of room which wasn't expected. Our tour guide Murad was exceptional and offered us lots of information on the drive and made the trip even better. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting to experience this beautiful country.Written March 14, 2025
- Getaway270716266360 contributionsComfortable trip with witty guideThe guide was knowledgeable about each place and perfect in every way, including time appointments and meal arrangements. He was also witty, so I had fun throughout the trip!Written March 10, 2025
- sarahpemberton050 contributionsExcellent Experience at a Very Reasonable PriceWe went on a 10 day private tour with JPTT. I actually investigated them more because their quote was so much cheaper than other companies had offered me we thought it was suspicious. Overall it was fantastic. Our driver Nidal was punctual and always made great efforts for us to see as much as possible. This is a great company to go with if you have a very specific trip in mind and you need someone to execute it for you. We saw everything we wanted to see and more. Great company to work with, would highly reccomend!Written March 4, 2025
- F8653QXpetram0 contributionsWonderful Tour! The tour was amazing and Murad gone above and beyond to make this experience unforgettable and seamless the whole time. He was a very knowledgeable tour guide, always happy to answer questions and incredibly flexible when we made a last minute decision to change hotel locations for our return journey to Amman. We had 4 hours to explore Petra which was a great amount of time, and on our return Murad had lunch ready for us to eat in the car on the way to Wadi Rum. The accommodation in Wadi Rum was beautiful, the time of year also meant that it was very quiet. The stars and the sunset were both breathtaking! We also were taken to a few spots to enter canyons, take pictures and climb a sand dune (which was so much harder than it looks!) The Dead Sea resort was beautiful and lunch at the resort was great too. The only thing to note is that the resort is not covered in the Jordan Pass and so it is paid separately in cash. After our tour Murad was kind enough to check in and ask whether we needed a transfer to the airport the following day which was a very kind gesture. Overall it was a fantastic experience and we are very grateful for Murad for all his kindness and efforts, would 100% recommend booking this experience if you are thinking about it!Written February 23, 2025
- Dreamer658705845830 contributionsPetra and Wadi Rum were Amazing!!Petra and Wadi Rum were just amazing! In Petra, it was quite a long walk, but it was worth walking and stepping up the long stairs ending at the Monastery. There are a lot of sites to see along the way. Wadi Rum was also incredible! Wadi Rum is one of the best places I have ever visited. Sunset was gorgeous. The stars were beautiful at night. It was very quiet in the morning. We danced after dinner with everyone. Our driver, Murad was incredibly helpful and kind. He gave the tour members various advice. Our Wadi Rum jeep tour was supposed to happen on the second day, but he arranged to do it on the first day before sunset and tried to show us the beautiful sunset. As we did not have enough time to have lunch, he bought us the best shawarma lunch box, and we had it on the way to Wadi Rum. I also had a great experience at the Dead Sea. I went solo and met some incredible people from France, the US, and Ireland. You must book a tour when you are in Jordan!!!!Written February 22, 2025
- 696caitlinb0 contributionsJerash and the Dead Sea were amazing! Our private car tour of Amman, Jerash, and the Dead Sea was just what we wanted. Very comfortable, and as it was just the two of us, we could have exactly the day we wanted. Jerash is an amazing site, very large, and was definitely worth visiting. The Dead Sea resort was beautiful, with a lovely buffet lunch, showering/changing facilities, and good beach access. Lots of shaded tents with lounge chairs, and a life guard on duty. Very relaxing! Our driver, Oday, was so helpful in making sure we got to see everything we wanted to, and got enough time at each site. Highly recommended!Written February 16, 2025
- 696caitlinb0 contributionsPetra is a bucket list visit!Petra was amazing, as expected. If you decide to do the backdoor through Little Petra, and hike through to Petra, be aware it's about an hour and a half uphill, ending at the Monastery. For us it was definitely worth having a guide for that section. Our driver, Oday, was incredibly helpful. He met us at our hotel as promised, and was able to give us lots of good advice about where to go, and how to get a licensed guide at Petra. He also got us some really wonderful coffee! We had hoped to try some good local Jordanian cuisine, and he sent us some great options near our hotel. Thanks Oday!Written February 16, 2025
- L5140KFandreag0 contributionsWould book again!I will definitely be telling my friends to book this tour! Jafar was the best guide, he was patient and kept us entertained during the car rides between each site. Jafar truly card about making this experiences the best. - edgarvF4995BV0 contributionsAMAZING!Jafar "See you tomorrow " is the best! He started my tour with great energy and ended my tour with that same energy. I wish I had more time to take a longer tour but the organization and professionalism of Jafar made my 2 day tour memorable. He has great insight of all the locations and gives great advice throughout the tour. You must book a tour when your in Jordan!!!!Written February 14, 2025

WOW! What an unforgettable experience traversing the sights of Jordan with our amazing guide, Mohammed. Despite being a relatively short tour to see a country, we were able to experience the wide cultural and historical offerings of Jordan through this tour.
The tour operator was quick to communicate, clear on expectations and gave us the confidence that we were in good hands. Our driver and guide, Mohammed, was friendly, informative and very accommodating to our needs (timely pick up, and extra bathroom breaks while driving, and also picking us up food!)
We spent enough time at Petra to climb up to the monastery and take in the key sights, and arrive to Wadi Rum just in time for sunset. The desert accommodation (deluxe) was well worth it and the “tent” was much more of a fixed, warm structure. Day 2 was much the same, and despite visiting in January, not at all too cold for a swim in the Dead Sea!
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and could recommend the kind folks at Jordan Private Tours and Travel to anyone looking for a comfortable, reassured tour. TYSM!

This was a fantastic tour. Murad was an exceptional guide -- very knowledgeable, very attentive, super easy-going, and always open for meaningful discussion and learning about any topic. He is a critical part of the experience in his own way.
Petra is must see. I don't know of another place in the world where people carved their homes and civic buildings directly into the rock like this, with such apparent stone carving skills. We actually took a donkey ride up to the monastery, which was a little perilous and not directly part of the tour, but also worth it, just to get a sense of what so many people from the past have had to do as part of their daily lives.
Wadi Rum is also super memorable. It really does feel like visiting the surface of Mars at times (no surprise, The Martian was filmed here). Just completely unlike anywhere else I have been. The camp is wonderful and a quality glamping experience, after all the day's activities.
We actually rolled in a stop at Aqaba and the Red Sea, which is quite worth it, if you want to see three countries bordering one another in single camera shot. (Jordan, Israel and Egypt. Technically, Saudi Arabia is very close too.) There is a museum there we visited the explains the Arab Revolution, which was a highly pertinent bit of cultural context, given today's events.
To cap it off, the spa we visited to get to the the Dead Sea were a nice bit of final relaxation.
I highly recommend this tour, since all the navigation and details are taken care of, and you get to focus on the sites themselves with a minimum of hassle.

Our driver Yousef Jaber was an incredible guide. His thorough knowledge of Jordan and its history made the tour incredibly interesting and really enhanced the experience as we did each site. His vehicle was newer, extremely comfortable and very well stocked with drinks and snacks for the rides to the sites. He was always on time or early to pick us up and was very tight with all the locals as he seemed to be friends with everyone! We would highly recommend him as a guide, especially to American or English speaking tourists as his English is extremely good without any accent making communication a breeze. He took care of all our needs, got us into all the sites and he is the man to see in Jordan!

There is a massive decline of tourist numbers in this time of the year due to the neighbouring conflicts, but we have never felt unsafe at any point of time whilst we were there.
Driver picked us up punctually for the long drive in a camry. snug fit for 3 pax including me. Driving was erratic and at times uncomfortably risky, but i assume its quite normal in this region.
We did not have enough time to explore most of Petra's amazing history as i assume the driver told the guide that we must be returned by a set time so that we could arrive to Wadi Rum before sunset.
The camp only had a total of 7 visitors, compared to their hey days so its very empty. The camp operators didn't bother to do anything else apart from the obligatory meal times. So it's dinner and lights off shutdown, not even lighting up the fire pit to keep us warm if we want to sit outside and star gaze. The "Jeep tour" following morning was actually the same hilux that we will sit onto the aft bed for the trail out, but stopping along the way to see some history cave markings and natural rock formations. (not recommended for older folks who are not too limber).
Final Leg - dead sea. it's a long drive via Aqaba but the operators did explain the travel times clearly before. The driver will try to push for an addn package at Aqaba for 2 hours on a glass boat, your choice but we didn't go for it. Then the driver asked if he should proceed to book a dead sea resort pack for 2hrs at 30 JOD per pax for their private beach and facilities. I asked if there were any public spots we could go to and we got a stern NO, everything is private hotel owned there. That's when you need to use your best judgement and either catch the lie or go along with it. The driver did point out it is ultimately our choice but was obviously disappointed and unmotivated, then stopped at an average vantage point (not the beach) and said here you go, this is dead sea...then left us alone for abit while he got busy on his social media.
It's about 35-40mins back to Amman from there so we asked the driver to drop us back to the hotel to end the trip. (including a stop at a dead sea beauty products store and we made sure to purchase enough items so he could also get a decent commission - if any).

We had a great time in this tour. Our driver/guide, Ja’far, made sure we made the most of the time we had available and gave us lots of tips on how to make the best of our visit to Petra. The accomodation in Wadi Rum was spectacular, Ja’far made sure we would arrive there in time to watch a beautiful sunset. The next day we had a relaxing afternoon on the Dead Sea staying in a nice private beach with a very good buffet lunch. The only suggestion I would have for the tour is that the route between Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea could have used the coastal road passing through the salt flats. Overall this was a great trip run by a professional company with an expert guide, I would certainly recommend!

Last month I went to Amman on business and on a day off I went to Ajlun and Jerash with Sherezade and they were good. I returned this month and on a couple of days off I went to Petra and Wadi Rum with them and once again they proved extremely responsive and reliable.
Off we went from my hotel at 0700 as planned. A nice clean Toyota Camry driven by Nader. He spoke excellent English, was very knowledgeable, and was reliable and safe on the roads. Pick up at 0700. In Petra by 1000. Five hours there was adequate for me to see everything. Simply stunning. Than into the car and two hours later I was dropped off at the Aladdin camp in Wadi Rum. Luxury tent, great supper, and then off to a very comfortable bed. After a hearty breakfast a two hour jeep safari around some of the desert. Was a bit disappointing. Safari lasted 75 minutes and I was left feeling I had not seen Wadi Rum adequately. I will be back!
I was then due to head back to Amman but Nader and Sherezade took me back via the Dead Sea and Mt Nebo. This was at no extra expense and was very generous.
I recommend Sherezade to you.

Our trip was absolutely amazing, the sights were phenomenal but our trip was made significantly better by our guide, Murad. He made sure our timings were spot on to enable us to maximise our time in the different locations and utilise the weather forecasts to give us the best experience possible. He was also incredibly friendly and informative.

Extremely well managed, our driver Qutaibeh was super accommodating and the max group size of 7 was perfect to ensure everyone got to know each other but also minimize delays and issues. We touched all the main points of Petra, Wadi Rum and Dead Sea. Added bonus of Red Sea snorkeling (at additional cost) but given as an option if we covered the desert jeep tour the first day so crucial that all group members agree and stick to the timings decided. Which could mean picking and choosing what to see in Petra, you can take a mule ride from Treasury and negotiate a round trip to the Monastery and also cover all the remaining sightseeing spots in JOD 25-35. Couldn't have asked for a better tour as a first time solo traveller in Jordan. Qutaibeh went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied and happy and was a tour guide the entire time as well, sharing historical tidbits and giving wise suggestions on how to deal with local businesses (shopkeepers and mule owners at Petra etc)
The deluxe tent options at Wadi Rum are exactly that - luxury in the middle of the desert but I opted to save money and go for the standard one, it was clean and basic but good enough as I did not need luxury or AC in October evenings for one night. The public toilet was surprisingly very clean and managed so no qualms about that either.
Highly recommended for particularly solo travellers with limited time and/or budget looking to join a group tour!

We were looked after by Emad and it’s definitely one of the best highlights of our trip and we can’t thank him enough for welcoming us so warmly.
Emad was very informative, punctual, extremely funny and treated us like family. He was always conscious of our needs and made sure that we are looked after.
I highly recommend this trip, it really showed the beauty of Jordan and its people. We will recommend this tour to everyone we know, and encourage them to take the longer option if possible, Petra is so big and you can easily spend a day exploring it. Wadi Rum is out of this world, and we were blown away by the facilities of the accomodation in the desert and food, it truly is a deluxe experience. We got there in time to watch the sunset and we were in awe when night time hit, we have never seen so many stars before, in fact, it seemed like you could see the galaxy. The 4wd experience was also fantastic addition, they tour you around the desert and show you the best lookout points. Mohammad was also very funny: The sense of humour of Jordanians is unmatched.
Do yourselves a favour and let them take care of you so you can enjoy what Jordan has to offer!

Ahmed habibi was my tour guide for this incredible 2 day experience. He showed and explained all the parts of Jordan we visited and made everyone feel at ease with his humour. He took us to so many locations; stopped at so many picturesque spots and the 2 days flew by. Would 100% recommend for anyone. Bring your walking shoes ! Haha

Hello I'm interested in booking this tour just a question do you have a guide for the whole trip example inside Petra or is it just a driver guide?
Written February 18, 2025
Just the driver. You don’t need a guide at Petra imo, it’s pretty easy to navigate and do it yourself.
Written February 20, 2025
Hello - interested in booking 2 day tour. there was a similar question around 6 months ago, so I will ask again. At what time would the tour get back to Amman city? How much extra do I need to pay if I want drop off at Amman airport instead? Thank you.
Written July 6, 2024
Hello, i guess i will book this tour, all the reviews look amazing. But i have a few questions.
1- From where are we picked up at?
2- Who contacts us after i pay for this tour?
3- Can i ride a camel for an hour in Wadi Musa?
4- will i be able to watch sunset and stars at the desert?

Pick up is from your hotel. Where you book from will let you know times. We booked with Tugito travel in Istanbul. There are camels out there just others on your trip will have to agree. Sunset yes stars can’t be guaranteed as it depends on cloud cover. We certainly saw lots of the Jordan River but not the exact baptism sight. It’s a great trip

Is november a good month to visit, including a dead sea float or swim? How cold does it get for the deadsea portion of the tour?

November is a good month, weather wise. You won’t be in the Dead Sea very long as it is. It good for the skin after a few minutes

Is the 2-day tour something that can be done in December given the heating situation in the tents at Wadi Rum?
Can I arrange for pick up from airport since I am in Jordan only for 2 days?
How can I look in to the private tour option?
Written July 20, 2022
Hi dear, Our excellent guide confirmed that the best months are May and October. We were actually very lucky because we had two days of wonderful weather. The tents are luxurious and have air conditioning. Even during the night the temperature of the desert drops a lot. I think everything is possible. I suggest you contact our guide and let him know what you need. You can tell him Esther from DC give you his info. He is the best. You can email me for info at: 12023400830
I hope this help. We love Jordan and the trips.
