- Freedom145740237940 contributionsGreat Half-Day Jaffa TourMy friends and I did the half-day tour of Jaffa with Itimar, and it was excellent. Itimar possesses a wealth of information about the history of Jaffa and Tel Aviv, including the history of the Nakba. He was willing to be flexible with time and found excellent shady spots to rest under! I would highly recommend this tour.Written June 1, 2024
- sebastiancE7731CJ0 contributionsExtremely well run day trip to Bethlehem! This review is for the last week of February 2024 when I traveled to Israel. I was a first time visitor to the country and had been wanting to visit many years. I was wanting to go to Bethlehem but due to the situation at the time (it may have changed by now), I was told access was restricted. For two months prior, I had in been contact with multiple companies and non wanted to go. Bear in mind, Bethlehem in normal times is very easily accessible without a tour. Just 2 weeks before arriving, I came across a fellow traveler in Saudi Arabia that suggested Green Tree Olive (as they were a previous client) and after a couple of emails later, Bethlehem was on!! I was in contact with Jehanne the entire time - she was lovely, and I also requested to visit an Olive Wood factory to buy souvenirs for back home of which she recommended a GREAT store which sold products at a reasonable price. I dumped about $500 USD from my wallet that day. Mustafa was my guide and Diya was the driver. Both men were hospitable and able conversationally. Managed to visit the Church of Nativity in all its glory, without a single person / crowd in sight! Also saw Shepherd's Field and Banksy art along the way. It was a whirlwind 5 hour "tour" but was very well worth it. Will happily book with this company again in future when I return to Israel for another trip!Written May 26, 2024
- Curiosity666030482760 contributionsMemorable family experience, thank you!My family and I had a wonderful 3 day private tours of Jerusalem, Jericho and Bethlehem. Every aspect was taken care of, we only had to sit back and enjoy the experience, which made it a very memorable and easy one when travelling with 3 children. The tour guides and family we stayed with were all hospitable, generous, kind and we felt like family. We were able to enjoy viewing all the historical sites with flexibility and make wonderful memories as a family. Thank you to all who were involved in our 3 day stay in Palestine. The memories we made will be forever in our hearts!Written November 21, 2023
- 285kevinh0 contributionsExcellent InsightsI did the one-day tour to Bethlehem, from Jerusalem (just prior to the outbreak of the most recent conflict). It was an excellent itinerary with a very knowledgeable and personable guide. The additional insights at the refugee camp were particularly impactful. Great service and value. The tour was an excellent opportunity to add some sensitization to Palestinian realities and perspectives, during a trip that was otherwise spent pretty much entirely in Israel. Also a good chance to see key historic sites. I would highly recommend it.Written October 15, 2023
- CasparGe0 contributionsGreat ExperienceGreat tour. We did the tour to Masada and the dead sea. The driver had great knowledge of the history and current situation. We were in a small group, so we could ask all the questions we wanted.Written October 10, 2023
- taradE1207IO0 contributionsEye-opening Bethlehem and Jerusalem day toursThe Green Olive Tour drivers and tour guides were wonderful - reliable, prompt, personable, resourceful. They provided a deep history of the region, combined with personal/current events that helped us see the impact of the military occupation in Palestine. Ahmad, Diya, Itamar, and Mustafa were all so helpful and enriched our experience in Israel and Palestine.Written October 5, 2023
- parkera1130 contributionsThere is nothing better than this8-Day Introduction to Israel and Palestine Absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough good about the Green Olive Team. The whole experience was more enlightening than I ever thought, giving an authentic and genuine exposure to the current and historic geopolitical realities of Palestine and Israel. Jehanne was great at organization when details changed beyond her control; Mirvate, Anwar, and Natalie were amazing hosts in Beit Sahour; two days with Muhammad Barakat in the Old City and driving to Nablus was a gold-mine of information; Yamen Elabad was a great and fun guide in Bethlehem, being reliable all the time; Mohammed and Moustafa were helpful tour guides for two half-days; meeting Moise Feiglin and his family in the Tekoa Settlement was a unique privilege; a day with Yahav Zohar in Jerusalem proved that he is indeed a walking encyclopedia about many things; Itamar Shapira was immensely helpful in tying historic and current realities together in Jerusalem and at Yad Vashem; Malkon was very kind and accommodating to me in Tel Aviv and Jaffa; Noam and Nili Frank were wonderful hosts in Jerusalem; and, the ever-timely Diyah Barakat was always reliable in pick-ups and drop-offs. Huge thanks to this well-run team for giving me the experience of a lifetime. I am changed for the better because of this, and am eager to do my small part in raising awareness about the realities of the Occupation in Palestine.Written September 15, 2023
- 71nellid0 contributionsBest tour with AnasWe took the greater Jerusalem tour with Anas and we absolutely loved it. We learned so much about the daily struggles and the ongoing conflict. Anas was full on knowledge which he happily shared with us. Wished we had a little more time to have done a couple other tours! Next time!Written September 2, 2023
- JMFeld0 contributionsGreat tour with exceptional guideExcellent tour with one of the best guides we've ever had. Malkon was incredibly smart, engaging and open. He gave us a great tour that was a perfect mix of historical facts and personal and general opinions, always making sure to point out which was which. His analysis and perspective were well-informed and clearly presented a viewpoint without trying to push it down our throats. We learned so much and truly enjoyed our day with him, only wishing we had more time. Definitely recommend!Written August 15, 2023

- H1922ZPwilliamd0 contributionsExcellent experienceAn interesting and informative day in Ramallah and Hebron. An amazing experience was with Yamen, the tourist guide in Ramallah, who showed us the Yasser Arafat Museum, the city and the Palestinian situation. Later we went to Hebron. Our tour guide Qadri was very knowledgeable in Hebron and allowed us to see the Ibrahimi Mosque, the tomb of the patriarchs in the two sections, and he was patient. Wise in informing us about the geopolitical situation in Hebron, and we talked with Palestinian citizens and an Israeli soldier, and the tour was a good example of the complex situation in Israel, the settlers, and the Palestinians.Written June 14, 2023

- JarallahZ0 contributionsAmazing Tours, People and Service! 100% Recommend!Incredible experience!! From planning the trip to the tours and coordinating with the team, Green Olives were amazing and accommodating. The tours provided all the relevant context of the occupation of Palestine, which is essential to understand the current situation. These were backed by facts and stories and personal experiences of the tour guides who shared how they continue to live under oppression and apartheid. Our experience with Yamen in the west bank was incredible, as a local of Bethlehem he provided an essential personal touch to the experience. You felt you were with a local hero was committed to supporting Palestinians in need and in the refugee camps. Very positive energy and accommodating, and strong understanding of the history but also shared the small details that impact palestinian livelihood. Alaa, who was our driver throughout the trip, was also very impressive with his history and facts. He shared his experiences which really deepens your understanding of how palestinians are living under the brutal occupation. Overall, hats off to Green Olive tours. Their mandate in tours is very clear and plays a vital role on the question of Palestine. Their planning is flexible and seamless, they make everything easy for you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. The staff are incredible, friendly and go above and beyond on your trip. 100% recommend and essential to experience to truly understand the truth and correct the narrative on the illegal occupation. Thank you Green Olives!! Keep doing what you are doing.Written April 30, 2023
