- tinav580 contributionsBuyer bewareDon't bother booking with this company they take your money send you a confirmation the night before but nobody picks you up nor do they answer the phone and they say you will be reimbursed just to shut you up 2 weeks later I'm still trying to get my money and I've returned home. Very bad business and I'm not the only person with this experience with this company also had it happen with another company in Israel. Third time I actually contacted another company to confirm before I booked and it was half price from this company. This company should be put out of business.Written February 7, 2025

They will cancel with short notice and not refund payment. 985672839 Avoid this tour provider. While in Israel, I booked three separate day tours through Tour Israel for a total of over $400. They cancelled all three when they failed to get the minimum number of participants. In one case they booked a tour at 11:30 the day before it was scheduled and canceled it at 3:30 that afternoon. In each case they promised to refund the payment to my credit card “within 7-14 business days “. they did not process the refund until after I had been home for over a month, complained on their website and posted a negative review. I could not help but notice how this differed from my experience in Egypt and Jordon where 2 overcharges by separate vendors were refunded to my credit card immediately. In one case, within 5 minutes.Written February 4, 2025
- rayoboone0 contributions90 minutes at Petra22 hours of travel, including 90 minutes at Petra. This is a very late review, and I don’t know if anything may have changed — it was better than nothing, but this is absolutely not how I’d recommend someone see Petra. First of all, the people who are initially on your bus aren’t the people you’ll be with the entire day. Which is fine in itself, but comes into play later. Some people are on the one day tour. Some are on the two day tour. Some aren’t going to Petra at all, but are using the bus as a shuttle to another city. Again, this is all fine. The problems began to arise at the border. Multiple other buses showed up at the same exact time, all full of tourists using the same company. This created a massive line of people trying to get into Jordan. We spent *hours* waiting to cross. That’s not an exaggeration. I understand that some things are out of the company’s control, but this isn’t one of them. Once you cross, you get on another bus and meet the guide. This all makes sense, as it’s logical to have a Jordan-based guide/driver/bus. We made a stop at a gift shop on the way. A very, very long stop. We were there for over an hour. I’m sure the guide got a very nice commission, as lots of people were buying souvenirs. Of course when you arrive at Petra, the very same souvenirs are available all over the place…for about a third of the price. I have no problem with a guide getting a commission, but I couldn’t help but feel a little misled. I’m sure the guide knew the prices were massively inflated at the gift shop. And I’m sure he also knew he was eating into our time at the site. Between the border wait and the gift shop wait, I was left with about an hour and a half at Petra. I had to leave the group behind, in an attempt to actually see more than just the Treasury. Everyone met back up at a designated restaurant afterwards — again, I’m sure there was a nice commission to be had. Yes, the description of the tour says they can’t guarantee a certain amount of time at Petra. I fully understand that. But some things are absolutely within their control…they just choose not to prioritize the experience of their customers.Written January 23, 2025

- leecC2911TH0 contributionsAvoid and save yourself the unpleasantness and disappointmentGifted this tour and was incredibly disappointed. Late start. No answer at the number listed for emergencies... Did not include the promised itinerary; Bethlehem had no Christmas decorations at all; no room for tourists in the churches visited--they were already full to capacity. The celebratory meal was fine and the hotel booked by the agency was fine. But the main attractions-NIL. And I did call in advance and ask if Bethlehem would be safe and functioning and was reassured it would be.Written December 30, 2024

- Robertduanedennis0 contributionsExcellent, safe, and fun tour of GalileeMax did great as a guide and our driver was safe/professional. The guide, Max was sensitive to my wife's disabilities. Max was multilingual too, knowing both Spanish and Russian, as do I. This was helpful, as I didn't need to translate to Spanish for my wife. He could speak directly with her. The tour was great also because I preferred to relax and let someone else drive for a day. We felt safe and cared for as well, given the current conflict situation. The tour was timely, fun, and educational. It was a pleasure to experience what Israel's northern Galilee region had to offer. We came to Israel to volunteer, as well as for sightseeing. We came to stand with Israel in this difficult time, and felt safe and fulfilled in doing so.Written July 24, 2024

We had SO much fun. We went for 2 hours, but next time we will take a longer trek. He took us on an amazing ride around the crater - served the best homemade cold tea ever and explained how the crater was formed with greater clarity than I've ever heard. We crammed a lot into one day, which we would not have been able to do as first time visitors to Israel with limited time. Tomer our guide was knowledgeable of history and personable. Haifa and the grottos are brief photo opportunities but worth it to see the Baha’i Gardens and the important harbor and to go very near the border with Lebanon. Caesarea and Acre are historical treasures in a history-saturated land. The tour was run efficiently and on time. The downsides: 1. The description said meals were not included so we packed a lunch. It turns out that a group lunch was arranged. We had no foreknowledge of the planned (mandatory) lunch and were not told in advance of the cost (NIS 60 each). We would not have chosen to eat this lunch and Bein Harim should not have prearranged this for us and with no advanced information. We should have been given a description of food options available and a choice to opt out. 2. We wasted 15 minutes in a tourist trap silver shop after the surprise mandatory lunch and before the final tour of the Acre Knights’ Hall, which was then rushed. Every millisecond of that tourist trap shop should have been devoted to the historical site. Bottom line: If you want to see the Israeli Mediterranean sites north of Tel Aviv in a day this is a good trip. We are glad we did it. But Bien Harim should make the changes recommended above.

Josef the tour guide did a good job. My problem is with the restaurant he told us to eat lunch, not suggesting find our own restaurant and return to the tour. He told us to east a an over priced tourist trap. The prices were double I paid at other restaurants in Israel for felafel and shwarma. I appeared to be a racket and he got his free fish meal away from the group.

Akko was amazing, something we didn't know a lot about before, but Eli our guide showed tremendous enthusiasm for the subject. The all you can eat shwarma/falafel lunch in Akko was a really good value (and delicious) for just 50 shekels (about $16). In the future, I would suggest more time in Haifa, a vibrant and unique city in Israel, and less time in Caeserea. The views from the top of the Baha'i gardens were fantastic on a beautiful day.

I'll start by breaking it down by each city/town on the tour:
Caesarea: This is probably the best stop as you get to see the national park and the guide gives you a good walk through. Although the admission fee is not covered by the tour (it's an extra 39 NIS per person)
Haifa: This was a joke, we stopped at a church for 10 minutes then went to see Bah'i Gardens from afar. I was looking forward to this part of the tour as this is one of the most beautiful places to see in all of Israel. The tour description is deceptive because they say that they "show" you the garden, but technically that can mean that you just see it from the outside.
Acre: You stop at a museum and again the admission is not covered by the tour (it's an extra 40 NIS per person). The tour was nice but the guide seemed a bit passive as he mentioned that the museum offered audio devices, but he didn't assist with acquiring said audio devices. You also get a brief tour of Acre.
Overall, the tour guide was nice and the driver got us to where we needed to be. I think the thing that killed me was the fact that Haifa was such a brief stop and the guide didn't seem as engaged with the participants. At one point we lost a few people in the group and he just keep moving on with the tour, until they found the group, 15 minutes later. I cannot speak for their other tours, but I would not advise that someone do this tour specifically.

Dear Maksim,
I'm glad you overall enjoyed Caesarea and Akko.
Please note the information about entrance fees not being included is clear on the Viator page.
I am disappointed to hear you were expecting a longer visit to the Bahai Gardens. it's a big site, and there would not be a practical time for a full visit on a one-day tour that includes also Caesarea and Akko.
Please note that we don't mention entrance to the Bahai Gardens.
I hope that we can welcome you another time on one of our tours!

The description of the tour was seriously misrepresented. No Haifa or Baha’i Gardens is included. The tour ended up being 1/2 day in Caesaria & 1/2 day in Akko with 10 minutes allowed to take photos from an overview off the freeway in Haifa. We could see a small glimpse of Baha’i Gardens from afar..
Advertised itinerary did not match actual tour.
Also lousy we had to pay high admission fees on top of the tour price of $99
Make sure you book a Haifa tour that actually tours Haifa & Baha’i Gardens.
Other Haifa tours include Baha’i Gardens & include all admission fees — this tour ends up costing twice what is charged after you pay the admission fees and lunch at the place they take you
Also terrible tour guide. Every sentence he says “Ehh” as if he is at a loss for the English word to be used
You’re throwing money on the garbage if you go on this tour

My family and I contacted Tourist Israel to take a tour of Caesarea, Haifa and Akko at the end of a week long cruise that started and finished in Haifa. We agreed to be picked up at the end of the cruise, take the tour and finish the tour with a drop off at the Tel Aviv airport. Our guide picked us up, as agreed, at the cruise port in Haifa. From there, he drove us to Akko for a very fast paced tour of the fortress and tunnels. He suggested that we might enjoy a ride in a speedboat around the perimeter of the fortress. This ended up being a “joyride “ in which the boat operator attempts to soak the tourists in the boat. Unfortunately, our tour was ending at the airport where we were to get on an almost 12 hour flight home. So, with sea water soaked hair and clothes, we then headed north to a border town to visit a cave situated by the sea. I was told that we did not have time to to go to Caesarea. We headed back to Haifa where the tour involved us getting out of the car for 10 minutes to view the Baha’i Gardens from the top of the gardens. We then got into the car and started heading to the airport. The guide told me that he had a family dinner scheduled for that evening and that the only reason he took the tour was because he was told we would end early. I told him that I hadn’t said that and that our flight was not until 11:25 pm. I was interested in seeing all 3 of the advertised places and to end in time for our 11:25 pm flight. Instead, we got a very abbreviated tour that was not what was agreed upon, no stop for lunch, a drenching with sea water (with no possibility of showering), and dropped off at the airport 6 hours before our flight. To arrive at the airport 6 hours early with wet clothes, wet, frizzy, seawater soaked hair and not having seen what we paid for is the most frustrating, disappointing and expensive part of our entire trip to Israel. This occurred 2 months ago, I have been in touch with Tourist Israel regarding a refund or at least a partial refund and, while they originally responded that they were looking into the situation, I have not heard anything since June, it is now August.

Our tour guide Avi was great, he even played some local music instrument.
We went to the places that were stated, didn't pass by tourist shops, which let us more quality time to focus on the History of the 3 cities we visited.
Thank you!

Terrible attitude of the tour guide, only cares to get to her 1.5 hour lunch and she skipped the Haifa garden, even lied that it is very hard to get a permit to enter and literally after 2 minutes we entered free of charge. Moreover we were supposed to finish at 18.00 and we came back at 16.00 2 hours earlier, we even completely skipped the last part with the monastery. So basically you only see the amphitheater and the Akko and that's it! Terrible you don't even have 5 minutes to take pictures but you have 20 minutes at the parking for the toilet unbelievable!

Enjoyable tour to areas which I was less familiar. We were fortunate to be on a small bus and the tour was quite interesting and less crowded than more well known areas. Our guide gave us a good understanding of the history and significance of each of the sites and how they interrelated.
My only recommendation would be to make sure that the bus passenger windows are clean. Ours were dirty and made it difficult to see the scenery or take pictures while traveling.

We got off to a bad start on our Israel trip with Tourist Israel. We were sold a 13 day package, however we were not told that this was comprised of many shorter tours. We wrongly assumed that we would be collected from our hotel at the start of each day, which is normal on every other package we have ever done. At pickup time a representative from Tourist Israel rang to see where we were, as we were not at the collection point, which was over two kms from our hotel… He told us to get a taxi to that location. We ordered a taxi, but within a couple of minutes, and we got there the coordinator messaged us to say they had left without us. After a long trip to Israel, including flight delays, and missing connections, I was totally overwhelmed.
We decided to get ourselves to the central train station and try to join the tour later in the day. We contacted the tour guide Oded and he gave us a meeting point in Haifa. We totally missed out on Caesarea. It was so disappointing to come all this way, and miss out on some of the things we had wanted to see. We did enjoy the remainder of the day, but unfortunately I can’t give any more than an average score for this effort. Tourist Israel need to be clear on their website that these tours are NOT pickup from the hotel they book for you. Also that the hotels are not located nearby to the pickup point. Disappointing.
