- tomsJ700JW0 contributionsWonderful experience, excellent tourMy wife and I were recommended this company by our friends from Los Angeles who traveled with them a few months ago and were really happy with the trips they booked from them. We went with the guide Rami on a trip to the Galilee and it was just great, he took us to the holy places and it was an unforgettable experience.Written July 30, 2024
- 301JuneH0 contributionsWonderful to see both placesMasada and the Dead Sea were both amazing. We booked the small group tour but it was very expensive. We were shuttled between drivers a couple of times because guests came from Tele Aviv and Jerusalem and had to change buses for return. Next time I would probably take two different much cheaper half day tours.Written October 6, 2023
- Global7983290 contributionsTrip of a lifetimeAmazing history that you read about but to see it first hand is jaw dropping and overwhelming at the same time. To walk the same steps as ancient civilizations is a remarkable experience. Our guide brought the centuries old history to life. Sorry we did not come sooner.Written October 3, 2023
- Jennifer H0 contributionsRushed toursBoth tours were very rushed but for me, one tour was nicer and the other tour was terrible. Maybe choose a tour w not so much crammed in. Lesson learned. Both tours steer you to shop their far overpriced gift shops. The nice tour was to Masada and the Dead Sea. The tour guide and driver were very nice and knowledgeable and I throughly enjoyed the tour. The second tour, a biblical tour to Nazareth/Sea of Galilee and Jordyn river was terrible. First the tour guide was agnostic and in my opinion dismissive, rude, very controlling and very detached from the groups needs. I think that a biblical tour would be best optimized by a believer of what they are presenting. This tour also did allow for any shop options other than the one they steer you to despite the massive price difference. All in all I would recommend the Masada/Dead Sea tour but not recommend the biblical tour with this company. Also, would caution shopping any of the gift shops they promote. I promise you will find the exact or similar items for well over half the price elsewhere.Written September 29, 2023
- Meander090847810130 contributionsAmazing Israel ExperienceWe booked out tour through Shalom Israeli Tours and from the very beginning every single detail was perfect. We were on the 10 day Jewish Heritage tour. When we met our guide Meni Tzabari, we knew we had found somebody special. He was fun, witty, had a great sense of humor and made lots of jokes. His personalized attention to detail with his breadth of knowledge was infectious and he would encourage us to listen, learn and be part of all conversations. He went over and above to make sure that everybody was comfortable, and having a good time. A few people had trouble with some of the walking and he would wait for them, hold their hand and make sure they were safe. He also made my daughter and I feel incredibly safe while touring Israel due to his knowledge and the fact that he is also a police officer. He truly cared about what he was teaching us and what we were seeing as well as he cared about every individual on our tour. When I return to Israel, I hope to use Meni again for my touring.Written September 26, 2023
- O9157KHshawnc0 contributionsMore about giving to local economy rather than learnThe guide never finished her thoughts , the ax in the van did not cool off the van. The driver complained of the vans transmission problems. Your was very rushed only allowed to use restroom 1 time. Then brought to a restaurant for lunch around 2 pm and rushed to leave. The buffet was very expensive and the drinks were not included. The guide told us to tip these people. But I get it was very poor of this company. Went on a tour with a competitor a few days back and had such a better experience and atmosphere. Rent a guide in Israel is all about taking tourist money , rushing and making more by patronizing businesses who give money or things back to rent a guideWritten September 21, 2023

- S3282ZFbrucep0 contributionsGood not greatThis was two languages, meaning there were 12 Spanish speakers and us. The guide had to repeat everything in two languages and we couldn’t communicate with most of the group or hear their questions. Not ideal. The guide was knowledgeable, but it just didn’t feel the emotional experience. The Dead Sea experience was great. Kind of unexpected that we had to sit through a sales presentation from a local cosmetic company who made products from Dead Sea, but we enjoyed .it anyway. The lunch stop was also disappointing. . Finally, if we hadn’t called, we would not have been at the right pickup spot. Guess we won’t use these again.Written September 10, 2023

- Yuka M0 contributionsAmazing Israel tour with Meni T!!I had a family trip to Israel for two weeks and had Mr.Meni T from Rent-a-Guide. He was the most knowledgeable guide I had ever met in my life. Not only did he explain to us about Judaism, culture and Israeli customs, but he also told us about geographic characters, tribes and Israeli people's life. Whatever I see through the window on a bus, Mr. Meni starts to talk outside views. It was non-stop knowledgeable explanations from him. By his time-organized guide, we were able to avoid all busy traffic and had enough shade on each location. I sincerely thank Mr. Meni for our safe amazing trip. Written August 30, 2023
- fraychel0 contributionsSpiritually Amazing!I have never visited Israel before, but came recently as a part of a conference. Since I had some free time, I booked this tour which was recommended by the conference organizers. My tour guide was Daniel and he was a humble yet wonderfully knowledgeable guide, providing in-depth historical and Biblical (both Old and New Testament) context to the places we were visiting. Not only that, he has been doing this a while, so he knows the staff at each site almost like family. We felt like part of family as a part of the tour! Note that it is a long tour because of the distance to drive and traffic. I departed from my pickup at 6 AM and returned at 7 PM - a testament to Daniel's driving / endurance. Also note that you may possibly transfer from your pickup shuttle to the tour shuttle. With that, sites visited included Nazareth - The Basilica of the Annunciation - Saint Joseph's Church - (Time Permitting) Synagogue Church - Time for souvenir purchasing The Yardenit Cana - (Time Permitting) the Church where Jesus turned water into wine Tabgha - The Church where Jesus fed the 5,000 with five loaves and two fishes Capernaum - The Church built upon the home of Simon Peter - The Sea of Galilee Magdal - Lunch with 'St. Peter's Fish'Written August 29, 2023

My 1st trip to Israel, started with our wonderful guide, Meni Tzabari, over 30 year’s experience. Started in Tel Aviv with stops at many historical and cultural sites, including Ayalon institute, Weizman house, caves at Beit Guvrin and Latrun Tank museum, along with Jaffa and the Carmel market. Over 8 guided days, we went from Tel Aviv, up the Mediterranean to Haifa Naval and sub museum, Akko, Caesarea, Rosh HaNikra grottoes, lower and upper Galilee, Golan Heights, 2 nights in a kibbutz followed by Safat and it’s beautiful galleries, along with many surprises not on the itinerary! Our last several days were in and around Jerusalem along with Masada and the Dead Sea. Jerusalem is such a wonderful and special city. We explored many areas of the old city along with museums and especially Yad Vashem. Throughout the trip, Meni showed us so many wonders of Israel and it’s beautiful people, not to mention the amazing food. We always felt not only safe but enjoyed hearing from his vast knowledge of ancient and modern Israel. Wherever we went, they all knew and loved Meni!! He made this the trip of a lifetime for my wife and I. If I could give him 10 stars, I would!!

Tamar @ WORLD EXRESS TRAVEL, L.A., found Meni Tzabari making our Israeli experience come alive. Never have I had a scholar with such storytelling abilities and knowledge, shine the love of his country told with such pride. Made it the most interesting travel experience of a lifetime. Look forward to Tamar setting up another trip, since working within budgets that allow us to go back soon! Strongly recommend this 11 day tour we were able to see almost all the highlights, with Meni maneuvering us early before the crowds which allowed us to see extra sights!

We did a 2 day tour of Tel aviv, followed by 5 days Jerusalem/dead sea/Masada. Meni Tzabari was with us and our entire time with our small group of fun new friends. Meni was truly the absolute best! His knowledge of the areas and history--incredible, he knows EVERYONE (and I mean everyone). Everywhere we went Israelis were excited to see him and happy to see us as we were with him! He mixed in so much good humor and warm spirit that we keep quoting and we've been home over a week!
He is an absolute pleasure and the best guide we have traveled with (and we travel a lot). If you want to love Israel as much as we did make sure Meni T is your guide!

I had an extra day in Israel, and decided to take a day tour to Jerusalem and Dead Sea booked on Tourist Israel. The tour was organised by Bein Harim Tourism Services. The weather in Jerusalem was harsh, with chilly winds and slight rains - but the whirlwind tour of the numerous attractions was very interesting. We took a different route for the tour, which helped us avoid the usual crowd of tourists. Dead sea was another interesting experience, and the tour had 90 minutes of free time to enjoy a dip in the sea. Our guide, Zahi Shaked, was especially thoughtful and helped with well prepared suggstions. Right from preparing us for the cold weather in Jerusalem to tips & tricks on buying from the market, he was very helpful.

Just got back from taking this full day tour of Jerusalem and the Dead Sea with the best guide, Haya Koshlevisch. She is clearly VERY experienced giving these tours and knew where to have the group and at what time to make sure we missed the most crowds while also seeing as much as possible. She was also very prepared and brought great visual aids to help explain the history of the sights we were seeing as well as paper us to leave wishes at the Wailing Wall. It was a jam packed tour so we didnt get to stay too long in any one spot but I knew that was going to be the case when I signed up. I cant wait to go back!

Nice tour guide. Everything was on time. The bus was fine. But, the whole experience was too canned.
Tour guide was good but the experience was too canned. The stops at the one gift shop and restaurant were a rip-off. I did not like the feeling of being funneled into a situation in which I was taken advantage of. I wish we had been given more freedom about where to buy souvenirs and eat.

This tour was great. Saw all the main sights, for a good period if time. Of course there is a full agenda so can't hang around too much, but generally we didn't feel too rushed. The guide was a real character and made the trip for us

We couldn't have been happier with Goira, our tour guide. He is a retired history teacher and not only knew so much but presented it in a simple way for all of us to understand and retain. You could tell he enjoyed it as well. Great day, Goira, thank you! - Felixa and Mickey, Oct 11, 22.

A nice pleasant trip with Ben Harim tour agency. Zahi Shaked- best guide to go for. He is funny, knowledgeable, easy to understand and patient with tourists. We had a 7 year old toddler with us on trip- there wasn’t a problem at all!

Bonjour,
Merci beaucoup

We want to book this on the 18th, but it doesn't show as an option in the calender. Can you do this manually?
Written January 17, 2019
I am not certain however a tip would be to book it via one of the international hotels travel desk if you are in Tel Aviv...for example Hilton Travel Desk..
