What to expect
  • Depart your central Tel Aviv hotel by air-conditioned coach and set out on your day trip to Jerusalem, one of the world’s oldest cities.  During your journey, hear tales of Jerusalem’s 3,000-year-old past and how the city has been held sacred by the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths since biblical times. Visit the Mount of Olives, a ridge famous for its sweeping panoramas of the Old City. Take photos from here and admire the key landmarks, including the Dome of the Rock rising from the rooftops. Then, drive along the Kidron Valley to see sites such as the Garden of Gethsemane, the ancient Jewish cemetery and Dormition Abbey. Continue to Mount Zion and visit the Hall of the Last Supper, a chamber believed to stand where Jesus shared his last meal with his disciples. Then, head downstairs to visit the Tomb of King David before continuing into the walled Old City. Enter through the Zion Gate and walk to the Byzantine Cardo, the  main thoroughfare during Byzantine times. Next, delve into the Jewish Quarter to see the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), a pilgrimage site for thousands of Jewish worshippers. Work your way into the Christian Quarter and walk part of the Via Dolorosa, the route taken by Jesus to his crucifixion, to see some of the Stations of the Cross (no. 5-14). Pass through souks and courtyards, and visit the hallowed Church of the Holy Sepulchre, believed to stand where Jesus died. See the stone where his body was prepared for burial and where he was laid in a tomb. Lastly, stroll through the bustling Old City Market and perhaps buy souvenirs (own expense) before your tour ends with a drop-off at your Tel Aviv hotel.

Fun trip with Yoav Malachi
Mar 2020
It was a pleasant day trip from Jerusalem to Dead Sea with our guide Yoav Malachi, who is a funny and knowledgeable guy. We were able to take beautiful pictures of the stunning view of Jerusalem, and enjoyed our trip with Yoav's jokes all along the road.

Yoav Malachi, Extraordinary tour guide
Nov 2019
I was able to squeeze in a day tour of the old city while in country for business. Yoav was generous, witty and very knowledgeable about the local history, both old and new. I was very happy with his guidance.

Gets you there and back. Mass produced but does the job.
Very organized transportation but all without much love or a personal touch. Be prepared to get ushered from place to place quickly and have lunch at a pre-selected restaurant with mediocre food. All in all ok if you don't want to think at all and just be pushed through a very condensed experience. I wouldn't recommend this to any of my friends though. It's not "nice" but only "efficient".

Dear Difjroems, As you have not specified where it is you traveled to, it is hard to give a sincere reply to issues raised. Designated restaurants are always part of a group tour. The rationale is we cannot let travelers wander off on their own, keep to time schedule of the tour, delay others and feel secure within our organisation of the day. This is the most organised ways to do it. Not to all travelers expectations we know. Also on the Sea of Galilee there are hardly any restaurants at all, therefore there is certainly no choice option where the group will eat. Or even options for other choices per traveler. Not all restaurants can cater for groups all at once. The menu is varied enough to try and suit all tastes. We are glad you mention our organised transport system of picking up and dropping off. You have not mentioned the guide's name so we could at least hold him accountable. If you scroll done the 100s of reviews of our company you will read of the guides' consistent , incredible and honorable mention for their dedication to their travelers needs with passion heart and soul for the day! A real pity this was the impression you were left with. But hope it clarifies our picture in some way for you to perceive the great tour operation system. Sincerely, Bein Harim Tourism Services team

Best of times in the worst of times
Our guide, Avi, was so patient. We planned our day trip during Ramadan when there was high security in Jerusalem due to the high number of visitors. This meant we couldn’t see all that was scheduled (e.g. Garden of Gethsemane or Dome on the Rock). Avi still showed us a tremendous amount and kept us entertained and informed.

Thanks so much for this complimentary review of your tour guided by Avi. sure deserves your praise for his efforts and skill, and tour management in the wake of limitations that turnedup that specific day, and others like them at that time. Yes despite major constraints beyond our control during this period, we are certainly happy to read you still had an enlightening and memorable tour in his company. Thanks for this sincere report of our services and of your satisfaction.

Great walking tour of Old Jerusalem
Jun 2019 • Business
Enjoyed the walking tour of the Old CIty. I recommend going on Friday so you can see Mt Zion instead of the Holocaust Museum. I'd rather spend more time at the museum than a tour would allow anyway and getting to see King David's Tomb and Dormition abbey was nice. Our tour guide Itamar was great, very knowledgeable and full of fun facts and stories.

Thanks for this rave t star review of your tour guided by Itamar. a highly respected and experienced young guide on our team. He desrves such praise for his efforts nad professionalism and pleasant manner Yes on Fridays for those who wish more of Jerusalem in ancient biblical times, this is a great itinerary. Indeed Yad Vashem Holocaust location derseves more than whatone can get in an .1,5 hrs walkthrough as our tour does, if one has the time .. Hope to see you again soon.

One Day tour to Jerusalem and stop at Dead Sea
May 2019 • Friends
One day tour with our guide Ami - a guy with never ending information and interesting details he chared with us. Great knowledge of Jerusalem and historical details, but also of the day-to-day life in Israel. The tour was great. Pick up at the hotel was working good, however the "pic up guy/guide" hade lemons for breakfast - he can stay at home next time.

Dear Catrin Thanks for this rave review of your tour guided by Ami He is worthy of such praise for his manner skill and professionalism.we are proud is a member on our team of guides. We do certainlyregretto read of the the driver of the pickup .It is not customary of our staff not to be curtious, but an opportunity for us to reiterate decorum of our staff. Bein Harim thanks you for bringing this to our attention.

Day tour from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
May 2019 • Solo
Our tour guide was Amir Call Or. Outstanding and full of energy, much better than I had expected. Amir shared a lot of interesting and relevant information from the 1st second we entered the bus until he let us off - including about towns and areas we passed on the way to and from Jerusalem. Please be prepared for the tour by getting a good nights sleep before. The vast knowledge Amir possesses, he shares willingly and the information density is extremely high. You don't want to miss any of it, believe me!

Since I am so overwhelmingly positive about the tour guide, I'd better write some comments about items that could be improved, and they are:
- We were picked up from the hotel by another bus from the same company to a gathering area from where the different tours then departed. The waiting time until Amir's bus turned up could have been shorter. Also the different buses were numbered but it turned out that all tourists were walking back and forth looking for their buses. This could have been better organized by the tour company (no shadow on Amir though)
- The chosen lunch restaurant in Jerusalem was so so. But we were told we could go anywhere nearby to eat (there were lots of alternatives) and then be at a certain location for the rest of the tour. I'd go for the latter option next time.

Dear MIchael, We are always happy to read when travelers come away enlightened and wit ha memorable tour experience. AMir is very worthy of the praise you bestsow upon him for his skill and vast knowledge,This acknowledgement is spot on!! We thank you for sharing advice and impressins that we need to take to our attention. An organised lunch stop is crucial in order to keep on tour shedule. If Only!! we could scatter 30 40 travelers to their own request and assume they will be therafter , considerate to group and punctual.(We certainly!! have attempted this option for years)NEver mind those who simply get lost in the 100m radius!! Our morning embarkation procedure is worked on daily so its smooth and prompt.too many factors: volumes of people involved and city traffic , all paramenters have been considered .We leave approx 8.00 inTel Aviv. Volumes of travelers have to move between the rows looking for thier bus>there is no other suitable location , we have to do this in . 20 mins is standard to move large numbers of travelers daily off to their tours.

Very interesting
Apr 2019 • Couples
We chose the tour due to a flyer and a recommendation from the hotel manager. It was the right choice because you really do not want to do Jerusalem without a guide We were lucky, that we were assigned to Lorne. He was very educated, had a nice sence of humour and motivated to make us also think about flaws in the religious history.

Perfectly organized day trip with great insights
Apr 2019 • Friends
I travelled with a friend to Israel. Due to our limited time, we only had one day for Jerusalem. Therefore, we chose the guided day tour to see the major sights in the Old Town. The whole trip was perfectly organized and our guide, Lorne, did an excellent job throughout the whole day. He gave us so many interesting insights and at the same time had a great sense of humour. We can definitely recommend the company and Lorne as a guide.

Brilliant tour of the old city in Jerusalem with a brilliant tour guide, Gad Ezer
Apr 2019 • Family
At 9am our guide, Gad Ezer, picked us up promptly at our hotel and welcomed us with a warm smile. This was an excellent start to a perfect day. We arrived to Jerusalem where the magic began. Gad knew exactly where to guide us and was knowledgeable around every turn. He brought us to a lovely balcony overlooking the city where we enjoyed delicious shawarma after a successful day of touring. Thank you Gad!!! Highly recommend and ask for Gad Ezer!!!
